Overall nice shoe, good looking, solid design. I have a low volume foot, though, and while the length is true to size, there is a little more room in there than I'd ideally like. I'm keeping them, though!

Great shoe for some cross training. Looks stylish and felt comfortable. Good support and good grip.

This was my first pair of metcons, and the first thing I noticed was how they really make your feet one with the ground. Phenomenal shoes for squats, deadlifts, or anything that requires your feet to be solid planted on the floor. Running... not so much. They will completely expose your feet to the impact of hitting the ground, which can really wreak havoc on your joints and tendons if your form is at all imperfect.
For the same reasons, I can't recommend metcons for daily casual wear. Probably out of necessity for their intended use, these shoes are very stiff and do not breathe well. As you walk and bend your foot, the shoe's sole deforms in a way that gently nibbles at the sides and toes of your feet. Not a problem for 1-3 hour workouts, but after wearing them for a day at work your feet will be quite sore from it all.
Finally.. the design! I'm a sucker for eye-catching patterns and the sequoia colorway really got me. Might even suck up the discomfort and occasionally wear them as casual shoes just for the style.

The shoes are comfortable, but they make a lot of noise when you walk which is an odd thing to complain about. But, they sound like a hard sole shoe when walking on a hard surface and the insole makes a strange swishing sound.

Beautiful looking shoes. These Nike Metcon 4s are perfect for weight-lifting with its snug fit and flat, grippy outsole. As a true cross-training shoe, however, it's rather average to mediocre. If your cross-training involves some jogging or cardio, I would skip these shoes as you will find plenty of heel slippage despite the snugness around the vamp. Speaking of which, some may find these shoes to be too narrow around the vamp and toe box. Snugness is good for lifting, box jumps, and rope climbing, but these shoes come off a tad over snug compared to other crosstrainers.

these are quite aweful to look at and to wear. The sole is very thin and offer nothing between you and the road. If feeling the cracks and knots of the street are your thing, then all you'll have to do is ignore their incredible blandness

Does NOT look like photo. The spots that look somewhat gold are actually an ugly yellow.

Never had a Nike shoe fit so poorly, I honestly thought Zappo has shipped me the wrong size. Felt way to tight, had trouble putting it on. When I finally got it on it was tight and uncomfortable. The other shoe in my order was also a 10 1/2 and it felt fine
