Super comfortable right out of the box. The long length of lacing allows for great adjustment -- depending if I'm wearing them around the house, driving, or hiking on rocky terrain.

I bought these at a shop in the Black Forest while posted in Germany, when I forgot to pack my Merrill Moab 2 lowtops. After probably a couple hundred kms hiking in Germany, I can say they were more waterproof then the Merrills (I love Merrills too), and, in my case, more waterproof. I have wide feet, so my Merrills were in a wide size. The Asolos only came in a medium width, but were, for some reason, more comfortable, esp. when walking longer distances. They’ve lasted 3 years so far and are still in great shape. We’re on a holiday in Moab, UT right now; they’re working great, and the Vibram soles are very grippy.

Amazing shoe. Total comfort. Hiked up Mount Elbert in this shoe and it was my best experience ever with any shoe. I've done numerous 14ers and am an experienced hiker....get this while you can.

Wanted a durable shoe to work in. These seem like they'll last a while if they're like any other Asolo product I've owned. They're sturdy and offer great traction. Probably won't win any awards for fashion, but function outweighs fashion for me.

Love these shoes. I bought a half size bigger to wear with socks and glad I did. The shoes felt super comfortable right out of the box. I needed something sturdy to walk my dog who needs plenty of exercise. I’m very pleased with my purchase. ??

Great hiking shoe. Definitely hiking/walking not trail running. Could be worn casually as well, though I don’t think they are very stylish. Construction is excellent. Grippy and durable sole, very robust toe cap, and metal lined lace holes.

These Asolo shoes are perfect and they are not made in China! The quality is top notch and they last for a very long time.

Overall fit was quite good. It is very well made and quite comfortable. However, if strong arch support and strong stability is what you need, this will not provide it.

this was for my husband and he has small narrow feet so sizing is always hard. this was smallest size so he plans to wear with insoles.

Fit size was very good, the problem is the sole is too flexible at the base of the toe joint, while the rest of the sole would not flex, causing my toes to hyper flex. A common problem I have with the some evo soles. Thank You, Zappos for your one year, very fair return policy. makes buying shoes much easier.

The sizing is really weird. I tried a 9 and 9.5. I usually wear a 10. 9.5 felt too big and the 9 was too small. They are not comfortable AT ALL. Maybe if you add in your own orthodox. The sole is super stiff and hurts your heel to walk in. Can't recommend it on any level. The laces are way too long as well. I wanted to like them as I'm looking for warmer winter walking shoes. I love the look. But that's about all.

it generally fit but where the rubber sole and the leather upper bent naturally when walking was up on the upper part of the foot, not down where the foot actually bends, therefore it pinched my foot every time I took a step forward. This, I would expect for some $20 pair of shoes from some street vendor in Tiajuana, but not from a quality brand such as Asolo.
