I wear a size 8 and my feet are on the narrow side. I ordered an 8 which the size chart said compared to a European 39 so I thought that would be ok. The size 8 was MUCH too large and the box compared it to a European size 40. Rather than guess at the correct size, I called and the helpful service rep advised that a size 7 would be correct. I was skeptical, but ordered the 7. I am happy to say that the 7 was perfect. I took them out on a hike today and they were very comfortable. My heel felt snugly in place, the length was perfect (even on the downhills), and my feet felt very stable.

I think I'm going to like these shoes! I bought them for an upcoming trip to Portugal and Spain, where there will be plenty of cobblestone streets and steep inclines. I will be traveling in November, the rainy season, so need to have shoes that are waterproof as well. The length and width are great for me, and my orthotics fit. The suede is soft and the collar and tongue are flexible enough to not dig in to my ankles.

Great shoe, like all the Asolo’s I have purchased. Sturdy, very comfortable, and true to description in terms of function and form. Asolo’s last for years. I have a pair of winter hiking boots for 5 yrs and wear them every single weekend for back country hiking in the winter. In any event enjoying these new shoes.

Love these shoes! My 81 year old mom requested a second pair. She had foot surgery decades ago and one foot is bigger than the other. These shoes have laces all the way to the toe and can easily be adjusted to fit her foot size. These are a winner! I have a pair and i also bought these for my sister and niece!

Toe box is nice and wide. The shoe molded to my feet right out of the box. It has great traction and has a solid feel.

As other reviews mentioned they run a bit big so order a half size smaller than I typically wear and they are great. I was looking for a hiking shoe and these were recommended to me. I am so excited to take them on my next trip.

I absolutely love these Asolos! They replaced a well loved pair that hiked over 300 miles this summer. They had to be retired. What makes them even better is putting in a SuperFeet enhanced insert. I could hike for miles and miles. Love them!

Every aspect was great. Need a shoe horn to get in, probably due to the multiple lace ups. Glad it had a complete vinyl/rubber cover of the toe bed to keep toes dry and no cutting through from big toe nail.

I wear a 9.5 women’s. I originally ordered a 9.5 and they were too big. I ordered a size down and they are perfect.

I love these Asolo shoes, the brand was recommended to me by a co-worker and they are super comfy! Keens have always been my go-to brand until recently when sizing and style has gone off. Asolo is definitely worth the investment, and may be my new go to (for hiking shoes at least). Like the ability to adjust the laces all the way down to my toes. Loving them!

I stand and walk a lot for work, so decided to begin the “break-in” process that way. They were comfortable for the 9 hours I had them on! I haven’t officially hiked in them yet, but am hoping for a positive outcome.

Don't order a size smaller. After reading reviews I did and had to return for my true size. Glad Asolo brought back this style. Had a pair years ago. I wanted the red, but out of my size. Ordered the green. Nice color. Trim style looks good with skirts. Didn't order as hikers. Not stiff enough for me. Wanted a good looking walking shoe.

I had a similar pair of shoes a number of years back. I wore them out and lamented it; thus thrilled to see these. They do not disappoint! Great for seaside rock scrambling, day hiking, or just walking to work on concrete. Not too bulky, and not restrictive in the ankle. My 12 year-old son also has a pair. His are for every day use - bike riding, tree climbing, hiking, and running through the neighborhood-and are his favorite shoes yet. While the Scarpa Mojito colors are very tempting, these Asolos ultimately won out for comfort and durability. We both have narrow-is feet, and usually wear size 9. No problems with fit for either of us.

I had to go on a wait list to get these shoes and it was worth the wait because they are comfortable right out of the box and I think they look great. The color is good because it’ll go with just about anything and I can’t wait to get out on the trail with them.

No complaints. Plenty of room in the toe box. It doesn’t hurt my foot anywhere. I have a narrow foot with a high arch and always need room for my toes not to jam in the ends because that drives me nuts. These check all the boxes except they are lacking that cushiony support. You could always add an insert though. The original ones come out. I’d buy these again. I’m always a size 7 and bought my true size here.

I am a man who wears a size 6 shoe, consequently I buy a woman's 7.5-8. I bought a pair of Merrells that didn't feel right so I called Zappos and they immediately credited my Merrells and sent these which I received the next day. From the get-go they felt great and I haven't worn anything else since day 1. They feel like sturdy bedroom slippers but are rugged, nice looking, and OK for a casual restaurant or the trail. Waterproof and Vibram soles means I'll wear them all winter.

I love these hiking boots. Ordered my usual size 8 but my heel was slipping. I ordered size 7.5 and they fit great. These are beautifully made.

In my search for hill-walking shoes with a Vibram sole I discovered Asolo shoes. The many 4 and 5 star reviews in various websites led me to try them. While the shoes seem well made and would offer good 'grip' for hill walking on slippery/wet rocky foot paths, I found the toe box too narrow and I needed a specific arch support -- which then made the shoe too tight across mid-foot. I really wanted to like the shoes -- I like the style and the Vibram sole. I have a narrow foot, high arch, and a bunion on one great toe. So, finding supportive shoes are a challenge for me. The shoes are 'handsome' and would have been perfect for an upcoming hill-walking trip. I had previously tried Merrell Glove Shoes and found a similar problem.
