Got these shows for my twins for coming up water and hiking season! They are 4 year old and turning 5 in June, got 10 and 11 (girl and boy) This is first Teva and they really like them. At first, I tightened too much and my boy said it hurts, then found out we do not need to tight much on adjustment to get comfortable wear. Shoes does not slips out of their foot. All 3 straps are adjustable, and has a space to grow, so at least kids will have full use of it for the season or hoping for another year. Surprisingly, for slipper type of sandal, this one is good for land walking, so it is versatile and good not only for beach, but also hiking and long walk. Quality comfy sandal, great buy!

My son has wide toddler feet. These aren’t marked as wide, but fit as well as the Wide Merrell Kids Bare Sand Sandals. At first I bought 8 toddler but those were huge, both in the width and length. After receiving size 7, they fit his feet perfectly. These are tough shoes that can be handed down. The velcro straps keep the shoes secure on his feet and are easy for him to take off and put on by himself. The sole is a cushioned, flexible, non-slip rubber that shapes itself to his foot the more he wears them.

I am an avid Teva wearer. I’ve had mine for six years, and I wear them all summer. They’ve held up beautifully. My 13 month old needed an active shoe for the summer so this was my go-to. I ordered these in a size 5 which was the recommended size according to the chart. When these arrived I was very excited. The soles are so soft and they are adorable. They looked and felt exactly as I hoped they would, however they weren’t a good fit for her. They were slightly too big and her toes kept sliding out from under the strap. I opted for a pair of Keens for her and returned these. Maybe next year we’ll try again!

The XLT 2s are fully adjustable on all 3 straps which makes it a great summer sandal for my wide-footed boy and long-footed girl (3 & 4 yo). If in doubt, buy them a little big because you can always make a good fit by adjusting the straps and maybe get some use out of them the next summer. This summer I also tried the Hurricane 3 but was disappointed by the non-adjustable heel strap so returned them in favor of the XLT 2.
