I wear these as much as I can. For a recovery shoe, they are stylish enough to go with jeans and casual pants. Extremely comfortable and cushy. I also wear them for their stated purpose following a hard workout. They show very little wear from frequent use but the jury is still out on durability. I wish Hoka made them in additional colors. Bought pairs for four other people, so far.

The band that secures the shoe is about 1/4 inch wide. This causes the band to wear on the heel and blistering. I use mole skin or band aids and everything is fine. If the band was 3/4 of an inch nothing would be needed. I love the shoes just a little tweak is needed.

Purchased this for my husband to wear inside the house. Provides cushion to tired feet. However there is no arch support so it's not for all day wear. He also has wide feet and this didn't come I. Wide widths. Great color and design.

I purchased the Hoka Ora Recovery on the advice of my Physical Therapist that the cushion and feel of the shoe would assist in the recovery of the rehabilitation of my right knee. When the shoe arrived I was surprised that they were wrapped in just a plastic bag and thrown in a box, considering the cost and what it really costs to make sneakers in Asia. Presentation is everything on 1st impressions. I immediately put the Ora's on as I require a slip-on as I am handicapped in my right hand and can't use tie shoes. They were a little tough to get on with 1 hand but i managed. The left shoe felt great and it had a nice cushion feeling on the heel but the right shoe was a little loose in the back and there was no cushion feeling, it was stiff and had no bounce. Not a good start since I needed the right shoe to assist in the "recovery" of my right knee. I though maybe it was my imagination so I wore them for a few days to test them out. I came to the same conclusion, left shoe felt great with plenty of heel cushion and right shoe had no heel cushion. It would also be nice if these came in half sizes so the fit would be better on the arch and heel. I also noticed as others have in their reviews that the color bleeds thru and your white socks turn black no matter how long you are wearing the shoes. I thought this would stop happening after awhile but a week later it was still turning my white socks black. QC should have caught this problem. I will not return them as for me that is a big hassle but I will not purchase another pair. Sad, I was hoping that they would fit and feel as advertised.

I did not like the fit. It sits low enough that you would not want to where socks but the soles are not the right material to be long term comfortable doing that. also I have a foot issue and it fit tight on the side. It is not nearly as comfortable as the Bondi.

Unfortunately, my moderately narrow feet and size 10.5 foot result an overly sloppy and, for 85 yr old, precarious fit.

The length of the shoe was correct to size but the elastic material on the top of shoe was really tight making the dorsum of my foot very uncomfortable and making the shoe unwearable. Moreover, although the shoe felt really tight, it still slipped out in the back. I didn’t bother getting the next size larger because if this size was causing my heel slip out, the larger size would just be worse.

I really wanted to love this shoe but they are not available in half sizes. I tried both an 11 and a 12. Neither worked.
Please consider making half sizes in these!

The red/orange heal strap in more decorative than functional. Have to slide my finger along the inside
of the side of shoes to put on. I have a pair of Bondis with a loop at the top of the heal that works much better.

The shoes are quite solid, but please understand what you are getting. My anticipation was that the plushness would be similar more to the Bondi shoe which feels more like walking on clouds. These are a firmer pair of shoes. Very light weight and are interesting to walk in, just not what I expected. The whole size fitting is different and if you're a half size like I am running and or pivoting in these is not recommended.. again nice shoe, but not sure if I would say they are super plush and cooshy

Comfortable recovery shoes, but not slipons due to flexibility of heel area. Need a shoehorn or finger to put them on.

I use these for Casual dress - the pull strap came off the second time I put them on. I did not expect that to happen on a good quality shoe

I purchased a pair of running shoes and had to go up to a size 12 from my normal 11.5 with other running shoes. So I ordered these in size 12. These are way too big and I wish I could exchange them out for an 11.

When walking, although the shoe fits, it moves around a lot. Therefore, at times you feel like you are coming out of the shoe.

Liked the shoe-- looks, weight and feel, but unfortunately my right foot keep slipping out of the heel. The soft counter just wasn't enough for me.

I have a pair of the recovery sandals and decided to try the recovery shoe. Although the shoe is a quality product I prefer the sandal. I use these after runs around the house and the sandals are much easier to slide on and clean.

I brought these to wear after a long run. They're comfortable but my heel keeps slipping out. I've had to start walking heal first in them. Also wish they did half sizes as 10's were too tight and 11's are just a bit lose.

The material around the ankle is abrasive and I can't wear them unless I'm wearing a sock. I hoped they would break in but it doesn't seem likely.

I would love to give 5 stars but the size is not correct. Because they don't come in half sizes, they recommend going a size larger (so that's what I did). The shoe opening is a bit small and the length is a bit big. I think if they were a size smaller, they would be to tight. If you can fit into them correctly, they would be a good shoe.
