This is different than the typical dainty sandals that I like to wear, but those take lower leg strength I don't have as much because I injured my back. I needed something stylish that allows me to spread my toes out. The teenagers (5 of them) all celebrated when I walked in the room with them on. Sigh. They are very comfortable but take care to adjust the ankle strap so that you don't get too much rubbing. I'd say get them.

Love the look, but the straps were too big, especially the third strap even though my feet are on the wider side. I sized down 1/2 size and the length was fine. I bought both the white and the black, but for some reason the white felt larger (especially the straps--for the top strap, had to tighten one notch more than for the black one). Even with the top strap tightened, especially the white one, my feet felt like they were kinda slipping around in the shoe.

I was worried that these sandals would be too big for me. I'm exactly a size US 6 in sandals, heels and Dr. Marten boots, and a 6.5 in Vans or sneakers. I ordered a size 6, and they fit perfectly in length. The straps are sort of loose, but not so much that would cause my feet to slip. I could probably put an insole to make it more snug. Also the straps are soft underneath, where it won't chafe my skin overtime. These sandals look great in almost any attire.

I normally wear a size 6.5 in other shoes but sized down and ordered the 5 in the sandals. The footbed length seems just right, although I'm not quite sure if the arch support (which is prominent, by the way) is hitting me in the right place. The patent leather is very edgy and cute, but unlike other reviews I am finding the straps to not be loose. They would be just right if I were not planning to wear them in hot weather, but there are a few spots where I can tell they will rub me as I wear them, especially in the heat. I think I have normal width feet (B), but for me to be able to wear these in the summer when my feet will swell and sweat, I would need the patent leather straps to be a bit looser or stretch. I suppose I could try stretching them, but before doing so I am going to try the size 6s, which Zappos recommended to begin with. The footbed is very bouncy and cushiony, and the sandals are light, so if they fit your feet I'm sure they would be amazingly comfortable for extended wear.

ok so reviews said to size down. well I did my usual size 9 I wear in everything and they fit but were sloppy. I wondered if an 8 would be better. so after receiving the 8, they are better. the length and arch are better. straps across the foot a little tighter but being all leather I expect they will stretch some. not too tight mind you. I kept the 8 and sent the 9 back. my other docs are 9’s. I have a normal foot not narrow and not wide.

I REALLY wanted these sandals to work and tried multiple sizes. As someone with wide feet, Dr. Martens are a staple for me. Unfortunately, I just couldn't find a size that fit right. It seems to have more to do with the ankle strap placement for me - I've had this issue with many of their newer styles. My heel ends up sitting too far back, leaving too much room at the toes. No amount of adjusting fixed the issue. So sad, because I love how light they are!

These sandals are beautiful. I've owned several pairs of Doc sandals before but these come up a bit narrow. Debating returning or trying to stretch them as I know they would with wear.

HOLY GOSH! These sandals have weird sizings! I am usually a US size 8.5-9.0 and I had to order these in a US size 7. the straps are far too narrow but I'm hoping to higher powers that I can get them to stretch out. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the footbed, it fits perfectly!! If you have more narrow feet or are willing to get them stretched, these are perfect for you! Just make sure you order a full size down and possibly more. With Zappos return policy being so amazing I would recommend buying two and sending one back or trying on a pair in person first.

Beautiful sandals. Does take a bit of work to break them in. Strap that goes around ankle can dig a bit and small amount of blistering on bottom right foot after 14 hours of wear in city on Day 1. Are very light shoes. After a few wears to break in, should be good to go.

I wish I’d read the reviews before ordering. I always wear a size 8 and sometimes have to go up to 8.5 for narrower shoes. These were definitely 1 to 1.5 size too large so I had to return and get a 7! They still feel maybe a half size big. They seem very comfortable but I haven’t actually worn them yet.

Everything people are saying about sizing down...that didn’t apply to me. These will not be the most comfortable sandals, but they’re just so stylish! I couldn’t resist. I added those adhesive pads to the inside of the back straps and that helped a lot. I also wear some flesh colored athletic tape on the inside of my ankles, where the strap rubs. You’ll probably need to make some modifications in order to make them more comfy, but they’re really cute sandals.

Well this is hard to do because sandals were to large to truly judge. Sending back now to get a smaller size. US 9 so I got UK8. Way to big so I’m getting UK 7 hopefully they will fit!! Love the style though!! Soles are DR. Martens stiff??

I wanted to like these because they're so comfortable and look so tough, but I felt like my pinky toe was gonna slip out from under the straps while walking. I'll be returning these but I'd consider buying another DM sandal with more coverage over the toes.

I really love these but unfortunately I might return them due to the strap placement. I feel like the shortest strap that goes over my toes could become troublesome. Either my little toe is gonna end up slipping out a lot or it could dig into my toe. Or both. If I return them I'd consider trying out a closed toe DM sandal because these really are comfortable otherwise! Super cushy insole, much like my DM Talib boots. (Which are my favorite boots ever.) Glad Zappos allows a whole year for returns so I have time to think it over.

Great sandal. Good looking and the red color is deep and lovely. I have really high arches so the front strap is a bit uncomfortable but its getting better the more I wear them. Confortable for standing several hour counter shifts.

First off I ordered a pair in my normal size (7) and had to return them as they were almost 2” too long. Then returned for a size smaller (6.) I wanted to love these, but I can tell that the ankle strap is going to cause blisters. After reading several comments my concerns were confirmed. I will be returning these and trying the Voss.

Great style! Material felt & looked perfect - my feet are thin from top to bottom - these are made for a very thick foot :) - thus my 2 stars for comfort & 3 for "overall" (Love my Dr Marten boots though)!! Gonna look out for an adjustable strap Dr Marten!

My order came on time, the sandals looks great but they were a size too big.

What were they thinking with the straps and buckles on these? The three toe straps are so wide and your foot slides around to the point of being dangerous. Then the ankle strap which is actually adjustable is positioned at the exact angle that it seriously cuts directly into your ankle bone. These will never become comfortable which is unfortunate, because the footbed actually has a nice comfortable fit and I can see where they would have been comfortable for all day excursions, if only the construction on this model was better!

They were light weight and nice looking. I wanted to love them, but I had to sadly return them. The three straps were loose, especially the one closest to the ankle, and made it difficult to walk. My feet are a bit wider than average.

I love the way these look but the ankle strap was too painful to wear for even a few minutes. Sadly I have to return. Thank you Zappos for making it so simple to make a change when something doesn't work!

Interesting shoe but didn't work for me.

The straps over the toes is loose while the strap around the ankle felt tight. Length was perfect!
