two main problems: rub front of my lower shin, and not fully waterproof above ~2 inches from ground at heel because there’s no gusset at zipper. Toe box at big toe is less roomy than I’d like but about average for boots & far better than most shoes. I usually need 8.5 wide or 9 med for my toes and instep, and these in 9 med fit decently for me but seem 1/4-1/2 size shorter than most 9’s. Similar to 8.5 in most Born boots and 9 in their smaller ones. Better arch support than most - between moderate & excellent. Black is a dull color, basically imitation nubuck.

So about 3 months of having them, they were great. Minimal and stylish. However, it's mid-January, the seam between the outsole and midsole started ripping. Not just horizontally but vertically as well making these shoes irreparable :( I'm really sad that I'll have to throw these out. I should have listened to the other reviews. But i guess i'm grateful my boots lasted a bit longer than for the other reviewers.
Madewell, c'mon, I dished out good money for these. Dfq

I love the style of this bootie and could not believe that this "rainboot" was acutally leather as described. To make sure, I even used the chat service on Lucky and the support staff confirmed this was a leather boot. Fast forward to eager me opening the box to find that this item is really Rubber. Says so right on the inside of the boot. What a waste of time and resources. I hope that the folks at Lucky read this review and change their description as soon as possible.

Initially, these rain booties feel super comfortable. However, after walking in them a very short while (just from the parking lot and up the stairs to my office), I realized they’re not. The outer top edge of the boot rubs hard into my ankle while walking. This is very uncomfortable even with socks. The toe of the boot rubs against my pinkie toes. I could not see wearing these for anything other than a very short walk.
Disappointed because they look pretty nice. The navy is a true dark navy blue. Fairly subtle, though obvious it’s rubber. If you hope people will mistake for leather, you may want to try black.

I bought these because I needed rain boots and they were so cute. I might have worn them 10 times and then they BOTH split about 2 inches down the back in the exact same place. It was extremely disappointing because i've bought so many pairs of Lucky boots and always had good luck but these definitely were not the quality of other lucky brand boots. Thankfully I bought them on sale but still paid around $60 after shipping and everything. And then had to throw them in the trash. I ended up calling the company to let them know and they sent me a 25% discount (only to be used on new merchandise of course)... Not exactly what I was hoping for and I doubt I will use it. After reading all of the reviews that are very similar to my experience I kind of doubt I will be purchasing from Lucky again.

I bought the shoe because I loved how they looked and I needed a functional/stylish shoe for walking around in Maine winters. I bought these right before the pandemic hit so I haven't worn them much just a few times to run errands and back-and-forth to work over the past year. About two months after buying them I walked through a rainstorm into a store and the entire shoe split open and soaked my foot. I then bought some boot glue and glued that spot back together. That area was okay for a while but in the meantime three other areas split open (on both shoes). Every time I wore the shoe another area came apart. I'd Like to think that this was a defective pair but when you look at the other reviews for the shoe it seems like that's not the case. I'm so disappointed because the shoe has the exact look that I would want for a multi-purpose shoe that I can wear outside in weather conditions and as an every day shoe at work.

One of my rainboots changed to a dull, dark grey/charcoal color when it got wet. Tried to clean them but it didn't work. I can't even wear them now because the color difference is so obvious.

I had these shoes for exactly one year. I don't wear them frequently and probably in the year of owning them, wore them about 20 times, if that. A few days ago it was raining and I was adamant to walk to work. About 3 blocks from my house, the shoe split and my sock and foot was all of a sudden wet, meaning I had to walk back home to change into non waterproof shoes instead to then get my car to drive back to work. Unfortunately because I have had the shoes for exactly a year, customer service will not do anything about it as it is out of the return or exchange period. The inner sole lining does crumble and move and is not good quality, however with thick socks, that didn't really bother me. Otherwise, the shoes are cute and I got compliments, but regardless, shoes shouldn't split like that!

I really liked these rain boots for the two months that they lasted. If they could go longer without breaking down, I would highly recommend them. But, within only a couple of months, the seams on the sides of the boots began to break down. Now, both of my feet get soaked when wearing these boots in the rain. I am really disappointed with the product overall and don't plan to buy Lucky Brand shoes again. My suggestion for people wanting reliable rain boots is to look elsewhere.

This boot ripped so now it obviously can't be used as a rainboot. Customer service is useless as it's been over a year, so they can't do anything. This is a defective product 10/10 DO NOT recommend wasting your money.

Unfortunately these didn't even last two months before cracking down the back. Don't be fooled by the cute look! And when trying to exchange them since it was obviously a defective product, customer service would not accept them without a receipt. I loved lucky brand but now it seems they know they're selling a sham product and don't want to have to deal with the repercussions! What a shame! If you do end up buying these, make sure to keep the receipt because they will break.

The rubber came completely undone from the sole after only 8, delicate wears. The boots need to be thrown in the garbage now - I took to a cobbler and he said he couldn't fix the issue. I reached out to Lucky Customer Service and they did not offer a replacement or a store credit. I almost never write reviews, but for this product I felt it was important.

I loved these boots when I bought them, but the seam ripped within a year and now I cannot wear them. Very disappointed in the long-term wearability in these shoes.

I bought a pair of these boots and on the first day the seam ripped, I thought it was a factory error so I exchanged them for a new pair. The new pair seam ripped about 2 weeks into wearing them. I can't wear these is the rain or any wet cold dictions because my foot gets soaking wet. Very upset at this because these aren't cheap boots.

First time I wore these boots and stepped in a very shallow puddle, I felt the water come through the outer seams. Very disappointed that I wasted my money on them. I technically can wear them in light rain conditions but would have to avoid stepping in water, which defeats the purpose of rain boots.

The sole has detached from the shoe on both feet causing water to get inside the boot and also exposing my toes. The shoes were worn normally for about a month and a half with no strange circumstances of wear. Disappointed.

I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, however in less than 3 MONTHS they managed to fall apart. The outside started to separate after wearing them less than 5 times! I wore them on rainy days from my house to the car to the office & they managed to rip apart. Do not waste your money on these. They will easily tear apart and I doubt you'll be compensated for such a horrible product. LUCKY BRAND! Please listen to your customers and either take this product off the market or kindly compensate those who had to waste their money OR make a better product!

The shoe is super cute and does not appear to be a traditional rainboot; however, the rubber ripped at the seam on the side of the shoe after only 3 weeks of owning them. I wore them maybe a total of 5 times. They also let water in through the bottom, so don't step in a puddle. I have never had a problem with Lucky Brand shoes before, I'm really disappointed.
Save your money, do not buy these!

My boyfriend purchased these for me for a Christmas present and I wore them 1 time.... 1 TIME... and the sole is already separating from the boot. Like most people said in the reviews I've read, I would not recommend buying them unless you want to waste your money.

Shoe separated from sole after third wear. Very disappointed.
Lucky Brand and all distributors need to pull this shoe from the shelves as it's a common issue across the board.

Ugh. These are literally the worst. I've had them for less than two months and the rubber top is separating from the sole. Such a waste of money.

I only wore this boots a few times and stored them for the winter in the original box. I get them out and they look like this. They were black and now they just look terrible! So disappointed in these boots!

Very very disappointed with this boot. I was super excited to get them because they're a cute rainboot, but the rubber broke from the sole after only three uses! My foot was completely soaked. I was shocked this happened so quickly. I haven't even had the shoe for 2 full weeks yet. It's absolutely ridiculous and I would not recommend.
