This is an awesome Gortex windproof jacket. Great price for this brand. Unlike some Gortex jackets where the material is stiff and the unlined laminate sticks to your skin, this jacket feels like normal soft fabric and has a thin fleece like lining. The jacket is very lightweight and packable. Soft and comfy. Love it. Jacket has both front zipper and snaps. Fit: I normally wear size 6 and M in Northface and Patagonia jackets. Got the medium and it fits well. If you are curvy or want to wear heavier layer, might want to size up. The sleeves are also designed to cover wrist and partially top of hands. If you’re short, sleeves might feel too long. Love it.

This coat is perfect for city and small town living. I live in a smaller town and will put it on over a sweatshirt to go for a walk when rain looks imminent, but don't want a heavier coat. It also looks great with a dress when going out to dinner - something like a much updated trench coat. The fabric is soft and the lines are flattering without being constrictive. I love the black and khaki coats I have purchased.

This wasn't what I expected. It lacked the clean style that I usually love in my Arc products, and this was particularly surprising given that this coat is designed for urban use. The flaring out at the bottom isn't for me (makes it look slightly shapeless), and the elasticated cuffs look a little cheap, but the aspect I most dislike is all the toggles around the hood area. Unless you have the coat zipped all the way to the top, you have four different toggle pieces sticking out around your face - it looks really messy. On the plus side, the material is quiet and soft and comfortable, and it comes in nicely in the waist. Still, that wasn't enough to persuade me to keep it so I am returning this purchase. I would probably have kept the coat if it weren't for all those toggles sticking out around the face area - these could definitely be kept more hidden.

Good investment. I bought it in case of rain when on my bike. I was a bit doubtful given that it is so light that is would be rain proof but it did a decent job. Wasn't pouring though will see next time. It is a good windshield as well.

Love the coat but it did not fit. I am 5' 1". The Small was too small and Medium too large. If you did a Medium petite, I'm sure it would have been perfect!

Great coat for walking outdoors - rain, wind or shine. Very roomy, solid water resistance and true to size. I love it!

First impressions: coat is great. The inside is soft and cozy. Coat is light and great for the cooler fall weather. Nice for breezy days and easy to layer with a mid-weight for brisk days. The sleeves aren't swimmingly long, as some of my past Arc'teryx jackets--thank you for the shorter sleeves! And thank you for selling in an XXS.

I travel a lot and find myself in many changing climates and situations. This jacket works for it all. With a dress, jeans or shorts. Is lightweight and easy to pack. I chose my layers accordingly and I am ready for anything.

I had this in blue and had to buy in beige because I love it so much! I wear to the office, for errands when I want some more coverage for windy or rainy weather. It's super thin and light. The lining makes it warmer than I expected, so not gonna wear it in summer. Can't wait to wear it again in fall. 5'3", 118lbs

I was looking for a waterproof raincoat that I could wear in both Spring and Fall, with a Kyanite fleece as a base layer. I haven't had a chance to test it out in rainy weather, so can't comment on how waterproof it actually is, but I can say that it's incredibly lightweight! The interior has a soft fabric from about the chest down so the jacket isn't noisy and it also doesn't stick to your skin if you get hot. The sleeves are a little long but the elastic cuffs are perfect and keep them in place. I was worried about the fit because I'm curvy and Arc'teryx tends not to be super curve-friendly, but the fit is great - it's an A-line and is not too snug and not too loose. Very flattering! I can wear a Kyanite fleece under it without feeling restricted. The only downside is that the inner pocket is a bit small - you can fit an iPhone XR but no bigger then that. I would have liked the side pockets to be deeper as well. I was able to get the Solano in Dimma and the color is gorgeous!

I got the Inertia (pink) colour. I like the length of this jacket, it protects my lower body from the rain in rainy Vancouver. I especially like the style, it hugs the body nicely, feels very comfortable. I highly recommend it.

I quite simply love this jacket. I bought a Large which will enable me to wear a thick underlayer, and it fits beautifully. The zipper zips smoothly, the lining glides over my underlayers, and the hood most definitely provides ample protection. If it will be of any help to other buyers, I'm 5'4'' & 136 lbs. and the jacket falls about 3-4 inches above my knees. Just perfect! I'm very pleased I purchased this jacket as it perfectly suits my needs. Another fine jacket from Arc'teryx! Oh, I feel like I'm wearing a silk jacket because the material is so very silky.

I've had this for about 2 months and am super pleased with the purchase. I live on Vancouver Island and find this coat great for casual hikes and worn everyday. The water resistant material is perfect for drizzly winter weather. Being lightweight, it dries very quickly if I do get rained on. Perfect combination of style and function

I am 5'7 I ordered a small however I am in between xs and small so it would have been helpful especially since the jacket is so pricey to have a waist cinch for added structure. Over all its a great jacket an fairly warm since its fleece lined I wore it out with a sweatshirt under it in 43 degree weather and its just fine. Its a nice material but not too stiff however I don't think its water proof just resistance but I also think it would be hard to get drenched in this jacket. It also has extra warmth due to the jacket covering your neck when zipped and a bill on the hood.

This is a awesome coat however to make it a perfect coat it could have used a cinch for a more fitted look in the middle esp for the price. The reason being is they cut this jacket out for a person with a smaller chest to hip ratio an for us with a different body type it would be nice to have a cinch The fabric on outside is nice an there is a fleece lining this would be great for cool days as well as colder if you order up a size to get a sweater under it. I’m 5’7” 120 I ordered a small to fit a sweatshirt under it if I need too.

Lovely and long for tall girls. Bright colour is cheerful. Squishes well for travelling. Looks good in town. Bought it large so can layer underneath. Quite pleased!

I really like my latest coat. I wanted something a bit smarter than my normal walking jacket and this really fits the bill . It is made to the usual standard for Arcterix too. My only gripe is that you can't adjust the depth of the hood, so it hangs too far over the face, hence only 4 stars, not five.

I want to love this coat. It is lighter than I thought, which is good. But the slim design makes it not a good layer for a person constantly wears sweatshirt. Except for that, this is a great jacket.

Bought this for my girlfriend after having bought the male version. It's a perfect jacket for everyday life on the West Coast. Not too heavy, not too light, just right.

Please be clear, this isn't a coat, it's more of the shell for a coat. I've had thicker linings. If you want something to block the rain look no further than world's most expensive poncho.
