Although it's just become May and they're a little heavy in style for Spring/Summer in the black, I couldn't pass on these at 55% off! With a slight heel and Cole Haan cushioning, these shoes are comfortable right out of the box, with no heel or toe rubbing. Like most loafers, they're snug to begin with, but I can tell after a few times with footie socks, they will break in nicely. Took off one star for style because, well, they're loafers... but as far as loafers go, these are not clunky or doofy looking - just simple and classic.

A fine shoe, but too noisy for feet with no socks. The leather was soft and probably would have broken in nicely. But I was afraid people would hear me coming and make the wrong assumptions about what they were hearing, if you catch my drift. Not sure if it's because of the style or fit. Tried the 9.5 and the 10 and had the same problem with both.

The best loafers out there for the price point. No breaking in or heel blisters here. You can wear them sock less or with no shows, Day one!

I struggle to find work appropriate shows with a flat or low heel that are comfortable. I bought these in the British tan and LOVED them. They are a classic style and they are so comfortable. The leather is very soft and I wore them a full day (12 hrs) from the get go with no issues. I went back and bought them in black. I'm seriously thinking about buying a back up pair in each color because these are such great shoes.

These shoes felt comfortable the first time I tried them on. I tried the Sperry and Bass weejun loafers but they were too tight through the toe box. These fit great.

I was looking for a classic penny loafer. This is very soft leather and a very nice shoe. Unfortunately my feet vary by half a size and I am unable to fit the larger foot comfortably in the 7 and I am sure the 7.5 would be too large for my smaller foot. Had to return but they are a great shoe and service was excellent.

The British Tan is an absolutely gorgeous color. I have several pairs of Cole Haan loafers and they do seem to run about a half size smaller. I normally wear a 7.5 in Cole Haan shoes but the loafers are an 8. They're a teeny, tiny bit large but nothing unworkable or uncomfortable. They are very comfortable and a really good looking shoe. Clearly I would buy them again . . . because I have!

I have owned many pair of Cole Haan shoes, including black penny loafers. These new shoes were the same size as my old ones, but these were too wide. They were not made of the same fine quality leather that I have always experienced before. They also had rubber soles rather than leather ones.

I'm usually a size 6 but on Cole Haan, I'm 5.5. I have this pair black and tan and bought from Cole Haan store. I couldn't find them anymore on their website so I was looking onother options because I want to have a spare for my black one. I just noticed a difference from the one I have and this one, the edge on top of it, is kind of off so it look flat.

Beautiful, well-made shoes that I had to change out of after half a day because my feet hurt so badly. Like having iron bands wrapped around one's feet.
