ASICS created the best running shoe ever with the Nimbus 17. Unfortunately since they have to tinker and change something every year, they took a step backward with the Nimbus 18. The Nimbus 19, 20, and 21 are all fine shoes, but they haven't quite been able to match the 17. The 21 has a stiffer sole and good gel padding, but if I could still find some 17s on clearance, I would take them.

First of all the only reason I gave these shoes a 4 instead of a 5 is that like soft rubber compound tires in that the soles have a tendency to were out quicker than normal shoes would. Otherwise I have been using the gel-Nimbus for years because of their comfort in wearing, their cushioning in walking or jogging and their lightness in weight.

Good shoes but still space to improve. I started to use from Gel-Nimbus 19. I loved it. Soft cushion but stable enough. However, 20 and 21 are slightly harder cushion. In addition, the size of shoes are variable depend on model. 19 and 21 are smaller than 20. I also used or use Kayano, Cumulus, and Glideride. In compare to these models, Nimbus 19 were much better at that time. At this moment, Cumulus and Glideride are fit more and easy to run faster.

I have been running in Gel Nimbus for the past 15 to 20 years. They have always provided me with the perfect support and fit. However the fit of the past few iterations of the Gel Nimbus has changed. Starting with Gel Nimbus 19 or 20 the fit is now tighter and uncomfortable. The shoe is narrower. Even with a half size larger the shoe still feels too narrow.

These are Great shoes for running. However, gotta keep the white bottoms clean if you run on non paved surfaces.

I have purchase Asics for many years and have sensitive feet, so the gel is an excellent cushion. I would have given the rating 5 stars but after the 17 series, they seem to have taken away some of the support under the outer sole. The 21 series is better than the series 18-20.

Wasn't quite as cushiony as i was expecting. But maybe they'll hold up longer than my last pair

Have worn the Gel-Nimbus 17-21. I like a very soft shoe and the 20 was great. the 21 is not as soft but still very comfortable.

Overall a good shoe. Good support along the top of the feet. Feels a little hard or plastic on the bottom of the shoe. A little heavy. It is still a good shoe for older runners like myself. Could be lighter and not as hard and stiff.

These sneakers are replacing my Gel-Nimbus 20's that I wore a hole in the sole. The Gel Nimbus is lightweight and comfortable. I use them solely for walking and I walk about 5 miles a day. The soles last about a year. The rest of the shoe holds up well as walking doesn't abuse them. I wear Asics because I like the mesh design and other manufacturers I have tried did not last as well as Asics.

So far so good. I only wear asics so I knew the size would be good. Excellent support and cushion. Colors are
nice, not too flashy or boring. Got these at less than half price so they were affordable. $150 for sneakers is way too
much to pay, but $70 for a sneaker this nice is fairly reasonable. Will update once I start wearing them full time.

Bought a pair of these in November when it was offered for a deal I just can't pass up. Design is awesome, but they don't feel true to size to me. I wish I could've gotten it .5 size bigger but asics don't offer exchanges and I didn't want to return then buy another pair anymore. And besides, the size I would like is no longer available. Anyway, been wearing thinner socks and they seem to be stretching now that they're being broken in. I had to take out the inserts it came with, they feel stiff and not cushiony enough. I'm using an aftermarket memory foam inserts now and everything's good so far.

Once I got the fit right, these shoes are awesome. I think I'm a normal 11.5 medium width, and that's what I started off with. The length felt *slightly* small, but the width was definitely a bit tight, especially after having them on my feet for a few hours.
Switched into a 12 EE and this is awesome. The width is perfect and the length feels great too. Especially after going for a run and having them on for a few hours, they still feel like I'm getting a lot of support without getting that dreaded pinch.
I've previously worn Brooks/Beasts and this feels like it has slightly less support, but is a more comfortable shoe.
I'd also recommend:
Brooks, Saucony

This model of ASICS is one where the heel area really grabs your foot. My daughter has a pair of running shoes like that, and thinks they stay on her feet very well. For a comfortable shoe intended for my everyday cushion and comfort, it is less than ideal. I do find the shoe comfortable overall, though other pairs of ASICS I have owned have more cushion under the heel.

This is about my fifth pair of Gel Nimbus. While the foot bed and arch support feels similar, the toe box is smaller than previous versions, making it less comfortable. In the past I've either gotten Women's wide or Men's and width has never been an issue for me.

Jury is still out...the firmer foam takes some getting used to and it's definitely a stiffer ride than the 20s. Still breaking them in and definitely feel like they are better for the long distance running I'm doing.

I walk 3-5 miles a day and these shoes are the most comfortable I have worn and will not stray from ASICS. The fit is true the size and I like how the heal is a bit narrower to allow for a nice tight fit.
The shoe laces are the WORST. ASICS feels they need to put elastic shoe laces in their shoes and after a month of walking the shoe laces are twice the length they started out as.

I always wear the Nimbus model and wear a size 12 but this model I couldn't even get it on my foot. Other than that issue the shoe is perfect.
