I had to go up a full size...from 8.5 to 9.5. Fit was great. Went for a 30 minute walk and my feet hurt so much. I have been a fan of Asics but have found the lower price range shoes are not worth the money at all! Zappos no longer carries the higher end Asics that I love.

I purchased this shoe a little over a month ago and I will not and do not recommend this shoe to anyone. I normally wear New Balance and decided to step out to a different shoe and this is the very first time I have ever experience swollen arches. This shoe has absolutely no stability at all. I can say they are pretty. However, that means nothing in running or in a group fitness class like Body Attack.

bad shoe not worth buying. Was hoping based on review this would be a great shoe for walking. After walking half hour my knees werd hurting so bad. I never bought it z pair of shoe that hurt that much. No cushion i felt as if i was walking barefoot on the street. These shoes shoul be discontinue. I heard asics sahoes were thebest unfortunately not for me.

Horrible tight from top to bottom & side to side
My feet hurt! I wore ASICS for 20 years no problems until 19s & 20s. Tightness from top to bottom. Very narrow width, not appropriate for running.

Beautiful shoe. Could just barely SQUEEZE my foot into it. Then I had to tug to get it off. I wear the same size consistently in Nike and Teva with no exceptions. Beautiful, just not right for me.
I'd also recommend:
Nike, Teva

My sister who has plantar fasciitis recommended this sneaker for working out. I put it on to try it out and the soles were rock hard. I couldn't imagine trying to break them in.

I absolutely LOVE the Gel Nimbus line of Asics. HOWEVER, there is a distinct and recognizable difference in the level of comfort and cushion in the new 21.....THERE IS NONE. The 21 feels hard when I put my feet in and step down. There is a noticeable difference in the comfort when walking in them. These will definitely be going back. Please consider bringing back that same level of cushion and comfort as the Nimbus 19.

I loved my Gel-Nimbus 19s; they were supportive, and had great cushion and bounce. These 21s are the opposite! They feel like bricks even after breaking them in. They don't have the cushion or the bounce that the older models had. BRING BACK THE BOUNCE!

I have bought gel nimbus sneakers exclusively for over 8 years. I have had the 21's for a month and my feet hurt. Gone is the cushioning I have come to expect. Bring back the gel the foam isn't cutting it!!! I work on my feet all day and would buy around 5 pairs a year. I'm looking for a different shoe now. So very disappointed and can not recommend these 21's!

Search your factory for a Nimbus 16, the best ever. My toe came out the top but I still ran a marathon wearing them.
I can't wear a wide because my heels are narrow and slip.Time for a new brand 0 stars and sad :(

I am DIE hard Asics fan and I run 7 to 8 miles a day in them. I have always worn the Gel Nimbus and am so sad you guys have changed your cushioning. Not sure what you changed, but these are not comfortable. Hard, bad on the knees. Returned the pair I bought.

I have bought ASICS gel nimbus for years. I bought these. They have no cushioning. My heels hurt after wearing them only a few hours. Sorry Asics. I actually bought Brooks sneakers for the first time ever.

I am disappointed in the wear of these shoes as I've only had them a few months and the sole is coming apart.

I have bought Nimbus for over 12 years, and I have preferred them over the Kayano because of the additional cushioning the Nimbus provides versus the Kayano. I would say the Nimbus 17 have by far been the best version, and since then the fit and feel of the Nimbus has progressively declined. When I received these shoes, they felt extremely stiff with minimal cushioning. In my opinion, they feel more like a Kayano than a Nimbus. I am not a fan of this version, and quite frankly, I do not think that stating these shoes provide cushioning and support is accurate. They do provide support, but very minimal cushioning.

Over the past few years, my old favorite sneaker keeps getting more and more uncomfortable. The 21 is the worst. Tight fit, no cushion..ugh! Don't waste your time or money. Used to love them..but no more.

I have been an avid wearer of Gel Nimbus for over 15 yrs. As a PE teacher, runner and lover of all sports, I am willing to spend the money for good shoes. Many years it was the Gel Nimbus.... until the 19 & 20 came out. The cushion has literally disappeared and the toe box continues to get more narrow with each new shoe. The 21's are no different!!! How is it ASICS you get so many of the same complaints but you keep making the same mistakes? I've found some comfort in Brooks running shoes..... I wish ASICS would go back to the cloud like cushioning and very wide toe box!!

I don't know what Asics is doing to their shoes, but every pair I have bought in the last 5 years have killed my feet. I was so excited that these shoes were going to have a larger toe box and they do, but the middle and back of shoe by the heel is so tight. It feels like my foot is being crushed because it is so tight. I tried walking around with the laces not tied and they are still super tight. There is no cushion. It feels like I am walking on cement. I will be returning these shoes.

I am so disappointed. I have plantar fasciitis and and was told years ago to go with the Nimbus (think I started with 16's). Omg it was my 1st pair of expensive shoes and my feet felt like money strolling on a cloud. No more pain. Every year I got a new pair (newest version), and then the 20's happened. Shoes to short in toe box, and less cushion, but plantar did not act up. Now the 21's.... I had to go up an entire size and dear lord where is the cushion? I have worn them for 3 months thinking I just needed to get used to the cushion, my feet kill me worse than when I 1st started wearing Asics. A miss the last 2 years, I wont be making the same mistake next year, very disappointing.
