First of all... I am a huge fan of Ecco shoes. They are always my first choice for dress and golf shoes. I own several pairs of Ecco shoes that are similarly styled to this shoe. With that said, this particular model is made of lower quality materials than any of the other Ecco models that I own. The inner sole of this shoe is not full leather, rather just the part from the arch to the heel. The front toe box inner sole is lined with a fabric material. Also, the toe box is not fully leather lined on the top inside section. It, too, is lined with fabric. It appears to me that Ecco cut costs in areas not visible on the outside of the shoe in order to sell this model at a lower price point than some of their other dress shoes. I thought I was simply getting a style that I like at a better value, but that is not the case. It is simply a more cheaply made shoe than my other Eccos. I'll keep the shoes because I like their looks and if I get a year or so worth of wear out of them, I'll feel that the $110 spent was worth it. I also always wear an orthotic insert, so having a partial fabric insole isn't as significant a negative factor as it might be to most others.
