These boots are so buttery soft and comfortable, and I'm excited I got them on sale for over 50% off! They work for me, but they are definitely on the taller side. I'm about 5'6" and my legs are just barely tall enough for them. They hit me right where my leg creases behind the knee (not an inch or two below like many other boots), so they likely wouldn't be a good fit for more petite people unless you have long legs. The calf is really stretchy and fits pretty snug, so they work over skinny jeans or underneath a straight jean. They were pretty tough to get on the first several times because I have a higher instep and they are a pull-on style (no zipper), but it's getting easier each time I wear them.

I was looking for a go-to black boot for work (to replace an older pair of Stuart Weitzmans) and had high hopes for these. Most of Stuart Weitzman's boots are now above the knee and I was hoping these would be at the knee (thigh-high boots are not work-appropriate in my case). While the boot is comfortable and has *super soft* leather, the height of the shaft is very strange. These hit at the middle of my knee, both in front and back. If these were about an inch shorter, they'd be perfect for me. Unfortunately, I need to return them.

This beautiful boot has two drawbacks: 1) The color brown is icky. I don't know how else to say it. 2) I don't like the covered heel vs natural. More of a go-to-the-office boot or out at night boot than a kick-around town boot which I prefer. The shaft was also very high, coming to the very base of my knee -- in the back and front, even though my legs are long. However, at least it fit my calf -- 14" or 14 1/2" approx. I'm 5' 6 1/2" tall and slender so I come upon this issue all the time. I can't say I wasn't warned by other reviewers, but everyone's legs are very different so with hope, I ordered -- and will return.

For narrow calves

I recommend taking a half size or full size up. Could not get my heel into the shoe part. I like the style very much, but not sure if I should exchange for another size. Also, would prefer a regular heel.

The length, for me was in an odd place on my knee. I'm 5'10.
