Sadly I had to return these. I have a very narrow foot, so I did not have trouble getting my foot into these as others have reported. However, I immediately felt discomfort on my outer ankle bone as soon I tried these on. Within 30 seconds of walking around my house in these, I had red marks on my ankle bones. No way these could be comfortable, I’m surprised anyone finds these tolerable.

I have another pair of this type of shoe from this manufacturer in black and the leather appears real. This brown pair the leather looks fake. Have to wear a mid weight pair of socks or it rubs on my right side of the upper foot.

I am returning them because they pinch my feet a little and I'm afraid they won't be comfortable enough to wear all day at work. They are wide width but don't feel like it.

Top of the boot hit right at my ankle and rubbed blisters on both ankles. Have to wear bulky athletic socks bunched down to keep from chaffing. Had worn them to work before I realized what was happening so I couldn't return them. Too bad because they are really cute.

I loved this style, but Lifestride's wide shoes are just too narrow for my foot. This is a really cute boot, but it just didn't fit comfortably. Sad I had to return this pair! (As a side note - these were a great price on Zappo's web site!)

The shoes are super cute and lengthwise they fit, the problem I had is they were loose around the ankle and where they hit on my ankle they cut into me every time I stepped. Returned.

I wanted to love it. B support was good and the Soul was nice and cushioned. However the top cut in just under my ankle and I don't see it changing as I break them in. Unfortunately I had to return them

Cute shoes but the shoe was too big. The heel was too wide and slipped with each step.

The styling is cute and fairly versatile. I also liked the shade of brown, mid rather than too light or reddish like many "browns" end up being in person. For the fit, the length was true to size, but they are wide in the heel (I ordered a medium width) and my heel slipped up with every step so had to return.

I loved the look; however, the size was just too tight. I ordered 7 wide as with all my shoes and it was just tight.

Very pretty shoes, but they hit my ankle bone and I knew I wouldn't be able to wear them and be comfortable. I returned them.

i would love a pair of ankle boots but have a hard time finding one that fits me in the ankle. mine are really skinny. a little under 9". these had an ankle opening close to 11". they just didn't fit. i love the color. the toe was a little narrow and pointy. the leather a little stiff. had to return.

I have been trying to purchase black leather shoes for a couple of years and always wind up returning them because the leather is stiff no matter what brand of shoe. What is it with the dying process? If I get brown in the same shoe, the leather is supple. These boots also were somewhat stiff but once on they were very comfortable and I wore them the first time for 8 hours. The arch is good enough for me to wear them without an orthotic. The boot offers heel support which is also a plus. They look great with jeans- ankle length or boot cut.

I don't understand how someone could write that these were too small. I always wear a 7.5 and the ones I received were too big not too small. I tried to order the 7 and it is out of stock. Really bummed.

Cute shoe, but I have a high arch and couldn't even get my foot into my usual size. I thought the zipper would help overcome that issue, but it did not.

I had a hard time getting it on. the leather is very structured and stiff, but it felt too narrow for my regular size of 7 1/2 medium width. I kept three others in a different style and I happier with them.

The color didn't quite match up to what I was expecting, and unfortunately this shoe is extremely narrow even though it was supposed to be wide. Sadly, they were returned.

Slipped off my heel. So sad but have to return.

They felt true to size, the mouth is a little tight so I had to wiggle them on. But once they were on they fit great. I did end up returning them because they just didn't look great on me.

My friend could not even get this shoe on her foot. This is her usual size.

The fit was right. However, the shoe was not comfortable to wear. The top of the shoe where your foot goes in rubbed against the front of my ankle. This was uncomfortable after wearing for 2 minutes to try on for fit.
