I'm sad to review these shoes so poorly. For what they are and are meant to do, they aren't bad looking and can pass for almost cute sneakers on the foot. In addition, they have a perfect arch for my foot and definitely help with plantar fascitis/heel pain. That said, there are a couple of problems. First off, they are not good for city walking by themselves because the soles don't provide enough cushion between the foot and hard pavement. This goes for indoors as well when dealing with concrete floors -- as in shopping malls and stores. And some apartment flooring too! But as a result, I had to add a sport orthotic to provide extra cushioning. So problem one solved, and I didn't mind too terribly that this added substantially to the cost of the shoe, it was worth it for the comfort. But there was another problem I found not so easy to solve. I had been aware that the shoes seemed to rub at the back and unfortunately, instead of loosening up as I wore them as I'd hoped they would, the rubbing just did not get better. What I thought might be wrong was that the seams at the very top of the back of the shoe, where the inner lining and outer net fabric meet, had been joined with some kind of very rough thread, perhaps a variety of nylon thread. So I put in cushioned heel grips thinking they would help, but they did not. I couldn't imagine why so I inspected the shoes further and found that the problem isn't simply the seaming per se or the stitching or the thread. There is an actual thin, hard ridge along the top edge of the heel seam at the back of the shoe that quite honestly feels more like glue or seam reinforcement of some kind, and it is stubbornly inflexible with no give at all. In order to pad it, I'd have to put in heel grips so high they'd be visible to the tune of an eighth of an inch or so at the outside back of the shoe. Not attractive. At this point, I would have thought about returning the shoes but because they were so good for my feet otherwise, I'd gone ahead and altered them with the stick in heel inserts, which I ultimately removed because they were useless. So a waste of money there. Then, because I was doomed to keeping the shoes, I tried some pressure point pads at the heels that I could place high enough (meaning well above the edge of the shoe back) but are still narrow enough to be hidden by the back pull tab. Currently, this seems to be working up to a point since the area where there is the most pressure and rubbing -- in the very center of the back edge of the shoe -- seems to not to rub quite so much, but there is still some discomfort. Thus, between the orthotics and the wasted heel grips and now the pressure point pads, this is a lot of adaptation for a shoe that's supposedly a comfort shoe, and one that's supposed to be problem free on the feet. And the shoes are still not perfect, far from it. I'd also like to add that whatever process Arcopedico is using to seam the back of the shoe at the top of the heel, they need to do better. Beyond all that, the shoe does indeed run a half size small. I normally am a 41 in European sizing with no problems. I needed a 42 in this shoe.

love these shoes. they are really comfortable and look good. i have wide feet at ball of foot (bunions developing), narrow heels, and high arch and instep. i struggle to find shoes that provide both support and softness/flexibility that enable me to walk for any prolonged period. these seem to be the answer. and they are light weight for traveling. i also like the LS a lot, but i think these are a bit more supportive in the footbed.

These shoes were very comfortable and had good arch support. These have more arch support than some of the other Arcopedico shoes. Light weight and I have worn them walking all day.

This is my fifth pair of Arcopedia shoes; I was buying the LS for the first four, but these offered both increased support and comfort (thicker sole) and the nice gray color. Like some others, I have a hammer toe and need the flexible fabric toe box. At 82, they offer enough style for me, even on more dressy occasions. For even dressier, I got the L14, also great.

OMG, I have 4 of the LS style and lately noticed a few leg aches after a day of wearing. The Net 3 is the answer for my aging legs and high arches. At 77, I feel lucky to be able to find such a wonderful level of arch support in reasonably priced shoes. I bought the gray ones and wonder if you will have some of the brighter hues for the net 3 available soon?

Contrary to an earlier review I read, I am not having a problem with the new back of the shoe. It is stiffer and doesn't collapse when I insert my foot. I find I wear my Net 3 more often than the LS. I am grateful that the shoe allows for inserting an orthopedic when necessary. There does need to be a little more cushioning between the base of the shoe and the pavement! Mostly I can wear without an ortho, comfortably. The Net 3 retains its shape better than the LS. What a lovely gray color you've offered. Thank you.

These are my new favorite shoes - comfy enough for a three-mile walk, but way cuter than my usual clunky athletic shoes. I got the grey and it's a nice versatile color that works with jeans or black pants. I normally wear size 8 shoes, but got a 40 in these and they seem perfect. At first I wasn't sure about the arch support - it seems like it's at the wrong place for my foot. But they were so nice looking that I kept them anyway, and I'm glad I did. The first time I wore them for my usual walk, they kind of hurt the balls of my feet and the arch area toward the front of my foot. But the second time I wore them for the same walk, all pain had somehow disappeared. I'm considering getting them in another color because I love them so much.

These shoes are a delight to wear. They are so light but provide excellent support for arch and sides of foot. The toe box is ample. The sole is not terribly thick, so they might not be the best choice for a full day of walking in a city, but for everyday use, excellent. Also they have a slim line and look very smart. I don’t know how the mesh uppers will hold up to wear, but it adds visual interest to a simply designed shoe. I would buy these shoes again.

I have many pairs of Arcopedico LS and love them, I bought these because they are similar and loved the color but unfortunately they run a bit short so I had to send back. They have more support then the LS if that’s what you are looking for.

Size is true, the upper is very comfortable. The shoe arch is way too high for me and pushes very uncomfortably into my foot. I also realized from reading this company's website that its premise is indeed to have the footbed push into the entire length of the longitudinal arch. From what I have studied about foot biomechanics, this is not at all what you want because it prevents the natural spring action of the arch and will weaken the foot over time. I hope this company will consider making lower arch shoes because the comfort of the upper is great and the 3/4" differential between heights of heel and ball of foot is perfect for my foot. Sadly, I am returning these.

For me, the arch support was too narrow. The sidewalls of the shoe in the arch area rose up from the sole and dug into both sides of my arch. I have a slightly wide foot in the arch area, so if you have narrow feet, these would probably work better for you than for me.

I am fighting bunions and corns, and I do not want to live in ugly sneakers. I like that this shoe is stylish and comfortable. It is not constricting for my bunion or corn. I haven't had the opportunity to wear it outside due to the winter snow, but around the house it feels great.

Already have 3 pair of these shoes in white, blue, and black. Comfy, good arch support. Problem was I ordered Khaki, the box is marked Khaki, but the shoes inside the box are blue! I already have a blue pair and wanted Khaki! Stupid that I have to process a return and reorder what I originally ordered correctly!

I ordered one European size up as recommended and they fit perfectly! The heal feels a bit lower than the arch or else the arch support is so good it just feels that way but after I walked in them for just minutes I knew I would keep them! They are cute for black tennis shoes for a gal so I can wear them with anything!

Just adding on to my previous review: In addition to being very happy with this shoe (and generally this brand), I had a great experience with Zappos customer service person who was highly responsive facilitating an exchange (40 to 39). He was knowledgeable, personable and able to help a moderately complex transaction.

Usually between an 81/2, actually more of a 9 in most shoes, but in this particular style in Arcopedico, a 9 was too roomy and an 8 1/2 just right - no pressure on hammer toe or bunion, room enough for socks since the material both conforms as well as accommodates an extra layer. Have bought LS before, and like this style better now b/c it feels more solid, still light though, has extra cushioning and the sole is a little thicker but still allows for a ground feel through the sole. Seems to offer more support. I also like the style as is a little less casual than LS so maybe better for a skirt (can imagine them well pairing with tights and leggings. I like the grey color and have ordered an extra pair in khaki.
