I have had gentle souls before and they are generally very comfortable. I loved the look of this boot, however, comfort level was awful. The front top part that is higher than the ankle was extremely stiff and did not bend at all when walking. It totally dug into my ankle. I returned them and would certainly not recommend them to anyone.

I find them to be super comfortable. No break in required. I keep putting them on, every day. The ankles are not tight, but rather loose - lending to a relaxed laid back look.

Wanted to love these. My foot is slightly wide. Meaning sometimes non-wide sizes work for me and other times it fails! Unfortunately for me, these were way too narrow.

I ended up returning these and getting the fleece-lined version instead. These are basically very nice high-top sneakers, and I wanted something with a bit more warmth. Quality seemed fine and style is what you see in the picture. Mainly came down to a comparison between two similar Gentle Souls by Kenneth Cole styles for commuting to work on business casual days in cold weather and this version lost.

I like this shoe a lot this is my second pair. I wear them every day to work fall thru winter (when there’s no snow). For me they do run about a half a size small, I wear a size 7 but I prefer the 7.5 gives me more toe room.

I wear a 7 sandal and dress shoe, but in boots and athletic shoes I'm usually a consistent 8....perhaps because I wear them with socks. I ordered these in an 8 and, even with thick hiking socks, they were too big - I had to return them. I did find them very comfortable and well-made. I'll wait and try a size smaller.

The fit was too narrow in the metatarsal region. For a shoe close to 200$ I felt there was not enough support in the bed of the shoe to do any real wearing //walking. They are definitely fashion forward.

It fits true to size. I just wear them two times, and the white sole start getting pink, it looks for me not real leather, not comfortable like the first pair I got.

At first they felt very narrow but once I wore them for 5 minutes they felt perfect. I wear a 7 and have a narrow foot, I ordered a 7 and they’re very comfortable and stylish! I’m on my feet teaching all day and they’re the perfect dress sneaker for work.

These shoes are cute and comfy. Really, I can walk/stand all day without any discomfort! They run a tad big so I wish I had sized down a half size, but they’re fine with thicker socks. There are 2 things I don’t like 1) one shoe definitely squeaks when I walk and I can’t figure out what’s making it squeak. And 2) the black color is somehow bleeding purple onto the white rubber. Kind of hard to tell in my pic but it’s definitely purple.

HUGE (in spite of me having purchased this exact shoe at my original size twice in the past). The quality and make of the shoe seemed different (worse) compared to original versions. I'm returning.

I just love these sneakers. The arch support is great, really can feel the support when wearing them. They slip on easily, I use a shoehorn for my shoes. These are pricey and I don’t want to break the spine of the shoe. I’ve received compliments about how modern they look. I suggest trying this for yourself. Zappos folks are willing to work with you if you don’t have the size you need.

I liked these shoes, but they were too big for me and the style was not exactly what I had in mind, they just didn't look good on me and that's the reason why I didn't try to get a smaller size. They are well made, but did not work out for me.

I love this shoe. True to size, very comfortable, no break in time. I'm on my feet 3 twelve hour shift a week and my ankles are weak so I wear hightops and this fit the bill. No foot pain when wearing these shoes.

I really wanted to like these… I love the style, but they arrived with a zipper missing off of one side. I would also say these run on the big side as far as length goes. I do have a high instep though - and the top of the shoe was a little tight on me. Kind of a miss overall.

I have bunions and this was too narrow in the toe box for me. Bummer - I liked them!

I’ve worn a size 10 in every shoe I’ve worn. These were at least a full size too big. They didn’t have a smaller size available, so I thought I could make it work. Very comfy and cute otherwise. But really disappointed the size is so off!

Very disappointed with zippers: almost impossible to open and close. Unacceptable for this brand. Love the style and comfort. I am in process of the return for the only reason- stubborn zippers!
