I have a lot of foot problems & this shoe gives me the support I need to walk well. After 3 surgeries on each foot, this is the only shoe I'be found comfortable.

I wear the 608s when I go to the gym. It's a great all purpose work out shoe for my lifting and cardio too. I work overnights at a radio station, so being comfortable is important. And since I work in a casual environment, and it's okay to wear sneakers, why not wear the best!!

high instep? check! decent toe box? check! true 4E? check! I've had earlier 608 versions which were fine, but I was wary of this v5 due to the NB tendency lately to produce narrower, cramped, lower instep 4E models, similar to other major brands. some brands feel ok for width down in the shoe but for me are stingy with the toe box and especially in the closure over my high insteps - the laces barely reach and even with longer laces the tongue isn't fully covered. Not these. I also like this style with the black tongue and laces. Only wish they were leather shoes.

I work in security and am on my feet for sometimes 12 hours a day and I have to say that my feet don't hurt at all after work and since switching to these my fatigue rate is much slower.

Good shoe. It was wide enough and that's tough for me. I ordered the 4W and the width was great. I usually wear a 13 but wish I had gotten a 14 instead because the shoe box is just a little short.

I can only wear tie-up shoes with side supports, due to ankle surgeries. I try to buy New Balance as they seem to stand up to the abuse my feet give them. This pair is for Winter, so I've only tried them on and walked around the house so far. They feel great and that' s without my custom orthotics.

This is the 4th pair of 608s I've purchased. I use them both for athletics and walking. Since I wear orthotics I had to find a shoe that would fit along with the supports and still be comfortable. 608s fit the bill perfectly. Keep them coming.

I purchase a pair each summer, the new pair for nice sneaker occasions, the last years pair for every day wear. I wear the 608's daily, all year long, except for the snow months. After two years the 608's make for good car wash and grass cutting shoes.

I always buy New Balance 608 or 609 shoes because they fit my feet the best. The length and width are perfect, but more importantly, the arch is in the correct place for me feet.

I had to send back the last pair I bought because the fit wasn't right, I later reordered the 608 since I have a pair from several years ago and the new ones fit the same as the older ones.
