Customer Reviews New Balance 608v5

There seems to be a new style of 608. Laces are different with loops instead of directly into the shoe. But mostly is the heel material. The new ones are extremely difficult to slide into. The heel is sloppy weak, folds over and the pull on strap is too small to get a finger in. I will not order these again unless I know they are the older style shoe.

I'm a recent new grad nurse and wanted some new shoes for work as my old ones were not cutting. Shipping was surprisingly fast, and I love that they work with USPS. Since getting them, I've worked a handful of 8-hour shifts and was disappointed with the comfort levels. At first, I thought they might need some breaking in, which did help. My second weekend wearing these were an improvement, so they might take some getting used to. The cushion gives me some good support, but at the end of a shift, my feet still feel very tired. It probably doesn't help that I work three days in a row, but my feet are still achy by the end of my work week. It is not as painful as it was with my old shoes, but I am a little disappointed since I saw so many great reviews for this pair, especially from other nurses. I was hoping these would be my go-to pair for work, but I will most likely look for other options. Some positives are they are quite stylish, and I have received a few compliments on them. I love the wide-foot option, and I like that I can wiggle my toes and engage my entire foot when wearing them.

The sneakers do not provide the support or comfort that is noted in the description. They run small and are tight in the toe area.

I have been wearing NB shoes for the last 10 years. These are the first that are actually uncomfortabledue to their stiffness.

The shoes are great and all I've worn the last 10 plus years. The only problem I had was with UPS . My shoes arrived in my home State Dec 22,2022. But them for unknown reasons UPS sent them to Montana. Eventually my shoes arrived on Dec 30, 2022.

The wide size 6 was a little too big, I have to try the 5.5 size. I would appreiciate being informed of when your reg size 6 are back in stock. They fit me the best & I work in the health care industry.

I bought these in size 14 Wide; unfortunately, they were still too tight! The toe box was the WORST! The big toe pressed tightly against the angle of the toe box. Should've bought 14 Extra Wide.

I asked your CSR for a recommendation for a comparable model to the 624's I've been wearing for years. The 608' are OK, but not nearly as good as the ones I've been used to wearing

The width is tight. I'm hoping it will stretch a bit. It's the first time I ever thought I needed W rather than M. My 608V5 suede pair is extremely comfortable

Could not get MX608 in all white in my 8.5D size. Settled for ones with a few blue markings because I have worn NB sneakers for 20 years because they are comfortable and need no break in time.

I bought a second pair as decided to use pair I have had for six months as more a work shoe for outside. Shortly after receiving new pair which are still in box, the sole on my left shoe has broken apart and glue does not hold. So certainly disappointed in this shoe and now wonder if I should send back the new pair due to poor workmanship.

My brother like the old style better! Why! Did you have to change it!

but I'd feel a lot better about wearing & paying MORE for them if they were made in the USA MFG's need focus on customer satisfaction & "product quality" instead of profit margins.

Even though I ordered Size 10 Extra Wide, I feel they fir smaller than other New Balance shoes, I would order a size larger if I order again.

I have purchased this product many times, and now repurchased. The last pair started to fall apart so I purchased a new pair earlier than expected. The black bottom layer separated from the sole and kept getting worse. Ifd the same issue occurs with the new pair I will need to consider a different approach.

I got double wide, and the width mainly goes to the toes and not the centre of the foot. It pinches a bit in the middle making them slightly less comfortable. Besides that I think these shoes are comfortable

I have used this version of your shoe for many years and I am finding some inconsistency in the sizing.

I wish they didn't change lasts every year but found one close enough

Longtime user of the 608 but something is wrong with the new purchase I made of it. Wears out faster, especially by the balls of the feet. Feel like I did not get my money's worth. Hope they put in more padding to the entire sneaker.

not much padding in them for a walking shoe kind of hurt my feet

This is my forth pair of these type of sneakers. Long lasting and always been very comfortable out of the box until this pair. Not sure why but one sneaker just isn't as comfortable as the other. So I'm disappointed with this pair.

I'm sure these are good shoes, but the toe box was not deep enough to comfortably accommodate my hammertoe. I appreciate your easy return procedure.
