I'm not a runner and physical weight and usage has everything to do with durability of shoes like this. I walk about 7000 steps a day on concrete and do yard work. If I don't rotate, they will last about six months. With rotation between work and outdoors, could probably get a year which is good from each pair. I tend to forget and end up wearing both pair for both duties. I've had good luck with these and will order 2 more pair in a minute. I did have to go up to a 12.5 about a year ago. I don't believe my foot got longer so the sizing has apparently changed.

My foot is very wide. This shoe was not wide enough.

Walking have had lesser shoes that fail in a short time I needed a good walking shoe and y'all did just that

Going into an academy and black training shoes are required for the PE portion. I need a wide shoe and these fit the bill. Function and fit over the looks to be honest but happy feet make for good exercise. Pleased to have found what I was looking for online.

My son is an athletic, active freshman in highschool and thanks to New Balance wide running shoes are no problem and easily acquired. He attends a charter school and can have only plain neutral colors white, gray, black navy... He wanted white but ones that he thought looked cool--and they do! The downside is after 4 days they were no longer white on the cloth area of the shoe instead they were gray and dirty. Despite my 3 applications of water proofing tent/camp spray the dirt was a bit difficult to remove, required soap water and a brush. The did not come completely clean but passable. I think these are better for someone who does not play outside and uses them for running or nondirty errands. Next time I will resist his suggestion and get a pair that is all ready gray in color

It's a great shoe but my husband liked the 624 style, so we just returned the 608.

I'm replacing a 646 pair I've worn for years. Was looking for a cross trainer for all day standing on concrete. The padding in these is cheaper and the leather upper is too. No reflective "N" or strips on the upper either. They're the best I could find at NB to suit me but not thrilled.

Overall, I'm pretty happy about the quality and fit of this shoe. They were somewhat uncomfortable around my shin for the first few wears, but after being broken in, they're as snug and cushy as one could hope.

Typical NB shoe. Extremely comfortable with great fit. Half size selection like no other manufacturer. Only thing that keeps this from being a five start review was fact that I bought several colors of same style shoe online, all in same size, and found one pair that was almost a half inch shorter than the other (again, same shoe, same size).

I've been wearing New Balance 608 for a few years now. I am practically living in them since I had a stroke and ankle surgery. I can't wear just any sneaker and these seem to be the best for me and they are podiatrist recommended.

This is an excellent product. However, New Balance offers 2E which is extra wide an 4E which is extra extra wide. LL Bean uses the term "extra wide" not offering a choice between 2E and 4E. They sent me 2E, I needed 4E. Apparently LL Bean does not offer 4E. Their return policy went fine . I will continue to order other merchandise from LL Bean in the future.

For extra wide shoe it feels a little tight at the balls of the toes.

Shoes fit well and are comfortable Will buy again!

The shoe bottom is a little too thin. I miss the 800 series cross trainers. Fit is good.

Just sterted wearing wish the air vent holes were a little larger as they are so small there really do nothing wish they would bring back the 519 . was one of nb best shoes
