I have a pair of this exact same sneaker which I bought a couple of years ago, and are wearing out. I foolishly expected the SAME SHOE to fit the same way. New Balance has narrowed the toe by at least a quarter of an inch, and widened the heel. So, my toes are crushed and my heel falls out of the back. I found a pair of Merrills at an outlet, which fit the way my original NB pair do.

I normally really like New Balance sneakers and find them comfortable, but these shoes were very oddly shaped and uncomfortable. I couldn't tell from the online photos that these shoes are really clunky and oddly shaped. The top is not flat like sneakers usually are, but the top is like a big dome, bubble shape. New Balance sneakers normally have pretty good support for my arches, but my arches were hurting after just 5 minutes of wearing these sneakers around the house. These shoes also had no give to them at all, they were extremely stiff, probably because of the synthetic leather material they are made out of.

This was the most uncomfortable walking shoe I've ever put on my feet. I received these in the right size, 7N but my feet were instantly in pain the moment I put these shoes on. While the design is attractive it does not make up for the lack of comfort.

Following up my review from last month. As mentioned, I have worn a version of this sneaker for almost 20 years. I always ordered 81/2 M and they fit perfectly. The last two pair I purchased have been uncomfortable and the length felt short. I wasn't sure what had happen and finally decided to do a side by side comparison with an old pair I started wearing again. See attached picture. The sneaker on the right is the new sneaker and It is clear the sole has been redesigned. This design change makes the sure extremely uncomfortable for me and causes pain in my knees and Achilles Tendons. I can longer wear this style sneaker. I have to say good bye to what was once my "go to" sneaker.

After first putting them on I felt they were comfortable. The bottoms are firm'ish and feel like they have some sort of gel in them which I thought would help my feet after wearing them for long hours. Unfortunately after 2 weeks of wearing these I cannot stand it anymore. I'm a nurse and stand for long periods of time and I've been having foot and back pain after wearing these to work. Based on the reviews I thought these would be great for me but apparently not.

I thought that since WX608V4 has been discontinued that this model would be the next best thing. It is nothing like the 608V4. I was very disappointed. Not sure where to go to to the same great fit as the 608V4.

Although attractive, this sneaker in person is very clunky and stiff. I purchased 7W because I have a high in-step, the sneakers run at least a half size too big and VERY wide, my foot slipped out as I walked. I was hoping for some good arch support and fair amount of cushion, they are not.

I was so disappointed in the fit of this shoe! The 8.5 was too long and so big, it slipped all over my foot. I exchanged them for an 8, but that pair was so short, my toes hit the end of both shoes. Too bad — it’s nice looking with a trim and sporty profile. Oh, well, I’ll just have to keep looking.

I usually get the 608v4 but it's was discontinued so I tried the new 608. The toe box was too narrow and I was not comfortable with the insoles. The D width was fine in general but not in the area of the toe box. I really miss the 608v4.

the shoe felt very heavy and clunky. I'm a size 9 narrow in regular shoes and generally a 9.5 narrow in running shoes. I order the 9.5, but perhaps the 9 would've been a better fit, still even if they were a little more snug I can't imagine they'd be comfortable. They're going back.

I've only had these sneakers for a short time, they feel worn out and hurt my heal. The narrow width STRETCH out so much, weird. Not worth the cheap price, I'd rather buy better sneakers for more money but last longer.

We got these shoes for the spring tennis season for my high schooler. The entire front of the shoes has come apart less than 4 weeks into season. The stitching came completely out. Yes they are lightweight and seem to have a very durable sole but what good is that when the whole toe comes apart like it was made on 5 minute crafts troll channel. I used to swear by new balance. These does are too expensive to have to purchase a new pair every month.
