I ordered 4 different pairs of Sorel shoes to try on and I read reviews on all kinds of websites....These are the shoes I ended up keeping. I live in STL but took these on a trip to Colorado over New Years. In 10 degree weather my toes were cold. I think if I doubled up socks that would have helped. I also went sledding in them for 45 min and my feet were fairly warm. Happy with my purchase! I sized up a whole size. I was between the slim pack and the winter fancy... the winter fancy is so much more comfortable!

I love style of these boots I like buckle. I got brown and black ones. I wish they had that pull handle on back though. And leather would be nice thicker and top brown color little lighter that be nice. But most off all the heal to high needs be half inch lower cause it pushes my foot forward. I had buy cushions for front my boots.

I usually wear a size 6 in boots. 5.5 in Sorel sandals. My feet are short and wide and I wanted these to be wide enough to be able to wear with thick socks because winters in Vermont are very cold and snowy. I got a size 7 since they run quite small. I've been wearing them for a couple weeks in the snow and now in the spring time mud and they're holding up well. My feet are warm and dry. I do a lot of outdoor walking and these have been very comfortable.

Great when it's muddy, raining, or when the snow's fallen and is packed down. Surprisingly warm and comfortable. And BONUS - they're super cute too! I like that the ankle can be cinched in a bit, so they're a bit more fitted.
I'm normally a 7/5-8, and the 8.5 fit w/o my big toe bumping.

These boots came just in time for NYC's first snow fall and kept my feet warm and dry through all of the snow and slush. The one downfall is the boots don't always have good traction indoors. I nearly slipped several times while walking inside subways and other building floors. Overall, would recommend.

I love these boots! They are my go-to boots to run errands during the winter. They aren't as warm as I would hope, but they are extremely comfortable and have a really classic style that looks great with everything!!

I first ordered the 1964 Premium LTR Boot and it wasn't exactly what I was expecting so I returned them and got these in the Peatmoss green. I love the color and the look of the boot!
I normally wear a 7 but ordered a 7.5 because of the reviews saying they run a but small. The 7.5 fits perfectly.
Since I've had the boots the weather has been fairly mild, so I've only worn them in rainy weather. They have been perfect for chilly, rainy days, but I'm eager to see how they perform in colder, snowy weather.

I've been waiting for generation 2 of these boots all year! They're perfect for what I need, mainly just wet, cold (not freezing) weather. I'm glad I read reviews and ordered a full size up though, because I'm sure they would have pinched otherwise. I usually wear a 8.5 or 9, and I ordered a size 10 in these. I've got just enough wiggle room, and could wear light or heavy socks no problem. My one (and only) complaint is the laces - which I switched immediately upon arrival.

I read all the reviews before purchasing these boots. Most reviewers felt these boots were comfy and recommended to go half a size up hence they come quiet snug/small. I'm normally a size 6 so I order a 6.5. I received my boots within a week which was reasonable. Laces were some what cheap quality and right boot felt a little too snug and uncomfortable because the top part of the boots was too hard and the width was too narrow. Mind you I have narrow feet! I thought maybe boots needed some stretching so I wore these boots when I moved up to Minneapolis for a whole day to find my feet feeling numb, cold and sore, especially my right foot. Sole grip wasn't all that hence I almost slipped a few times. So overall, they are good looking boots but wish i hadn't bought them. Will be purchasing LLbeans for my next snow boots.

I love the design aesthetic on these. Cute with practical tenacity. The little bit of heel is spot on. I feel like these run a bit narrow which I happen to appreciate but others may not. They fit snuggly. Perfect selection if boots are usually too roomy in your ankle area. True to size in the length dept, if you are between two sizes, size up.

I bought these boots and loved every minute of them. I live in Oregon, where it rains all the time, so having these boots worked really well for me. I wore them a lot during the fall and less cold winter months and they do just fine. I bought my size, and even with thick socks. they fit me just fine.
I will say that I got a little disappointed with the quality of the rubber. After normal wear in a years time a hole broke through the rubber of one of my boots. I bought my husband the male version of these boots with the same rubber quality, and he too had the same problem.
What I will say is these boots were probably my favorite. The leather is gorgeous, the style very sleek and the warmth of the boot is perfect. I would have used them even in the snow if I had to. If Sorel would produce a boot with the same warmth structure in another boot so that it would be comfortable to wear them in the warmer fall rains that were the rubber boot structure of the Joan of Arc's, they would be going in the right direction of design.
I wish Sorel the best in creating a good long-lasting and comfortable boot for the fall rainy months.

Boot is really beautiful but runs small. I took the cue from reviews and ordered a size up. I normally get a 7.5 but ordered an 8.5. Fit was almost ok, but with thick socks, I knew I needed to size up even more to a 9. Got the size 9 and it fit well with wool socks with a little wiggle room for even thicker socks.
I used it for a week under different conditions -- cold, snow, rain. They generally performed well except on wet tile! The boot has poor traction and I found myself slipping a few times as I walked on subway platforms and terminals through Grand Central Station in NY on even slightly wet tile! Also found it slippery on some pebble-washed or tiled street corners.
As I wanted this boot to be my go to boot in the winter, I am afraid it just didn't cut it. I could not risk slipping and sliding especially during the rush hour commute. Had to return.
I ended up buying the Joan of Artic Wedge Mid Boot which turned out to be extremely comfortable with good traction and also runs true to size.
(Online returns will cost you; hopefully you have a brick and mortar in your city so you don't have to pay for return shipping fees.)

The boots are so cute but not made for the winter. The lining is super thin and it's almost as if they suck in the cold weather. Unlike the slip ons, these have a very thin lining, not the cozy lining I was hoping for or needed. I'm wearing them in Colorado 20 degree weather. These would be great cool weather/ rainy day boots but these are not "winter" boots. Dang!

The boot itself is adorable, but far too small.
The length of the shoe is just fine, it's the tongue and vamp that do not give when putting on or taking off the shoe.

I have never written a review before but felt compelled to do so now. I have worn Sorels for many, many years and loved them. Fit was always great, stylish and comfy, warm. My feet are freezing in these boots. I read reviews before purchase, everyone said they were warm in Mich.!! I'm in Ct. and I have never had such cold feet, toes before in any of my boots. Not sure if I got a lemon of a boot or if they are all like this. I cannot recommend these for that reason.

I purchased these in August to take advantage of a sale price. I started wearing them last month, and the strap completely came off. They are a pain to get on and off due to the flimsy leather top, so the strap is imperative. I can't believe I find myself, one month into real winter, without boots.

Extremely poor quality. Falling apart after one year when used to walk 10 minutes twice a day, to and from the subway. Rubber is cracked and water can get in and soak my feet within Minutes. This is my second pair of Sorel, very happy with the ones from 6 years ago, I don't know what you did to the quality but it makes me never want to buy again. From now on, I will rely on other brands.

I bought these boots in the fall thinking I was being proactive but by the time I realized how terrible they were in the winter, it was too late to return them. These shoes should not be marketed as winter boots. I live in NYC so the winters are fairly mild. Regardless of this fact, my feet froze every time I wore these boots. I tried wearing them with wool socks and wool socks + boot liners but nothing worked. Further, whenever it was even remotely icy out, I would slip and/or fall multiple times. These boots have no warmth or traction. I would not recommend using these boots during the winter.

The shoes were received on time, but the shoes were put together so poorly I couldn't even put my foot in the boot. This should never have been sent to any person and I was able to return the shoes, but they did not offer any type of coupon or discount after receiving a pair of shoes that were unsuitable for shipping. Now winter is almost over and I still haven't gotten a new pair

These boots are so cute. I searched online for hours for the perfect pair and none of them compared. They were a bit more expensive that my budget allowed but I figured they would last a long time since they're well made. I was wrong.... They are constantly soaked on the inside. The first day I wore them, they only leaked a little. I thought they just weren't breathable and my feet were sweaty. Then I took them off and noticed my socks were really wet. I've had them for about two months now. I couldn't stop wearing them since they're so cute but now the leakage is worse and I'm so upset that I spent half my paycheck on a pair of boots that are always soaked and make me feel like I have a mild case of trenchfoot. I'm not even walking through puddles. I'm very unhappy with these boots.
