The Velcro style is super cute for a casual sneaker and I had a hard time deciding between these with the green detail or the rainbow stripes (maybe too juvenile?). The canvas and upper rubber bits are a nice off/white natural canvas color, not bright white. I didn’t notice in the description, but these came with a “vegan” tag if that’s important to you. Personally I hesitate at vegan leather (the green detail on these) because it’s usually a petroleum product, but overall these are great. Sizing: My regular size is 8.5 US, 6 UK, 39 EU; and the “8” US here was perfect. I usually go 8.5 US because I’m on the wider end of the normal width spectrum, but an 8W when available is actually ideal. These feel more substantial than they look, a little sturdier than my standard Chuck Taylor All Stars (where I take a 5.5 US men’s), on par with the sturdiness of my Vans Authentics (where I take a 6.5 or 7 US men’s).

Just got these shoes, I was nervous about the sizing since they don't have half sizes, I am a true 7.5 and I ordered a 7 since the other reviews state to size down and they fit perfectly. They run large about a half size, I would recommend sizing down if you are in-between sizes like I am. The soles are cushioned and are very comfortable. Love the style. The only thing I was surprised about was the material is more of a canvas, not leather, so I have to be more careful to keep them clean.

Based upon reviews I got the 9 as I am a size 9.5 Perfect fit and super comfy! The padding is so much better than the Converse and I love the front piece. A great laid back sneaker!

I returned these. Style is fun and I like the blue accent but not comfortable and shoe didn't roll with the foot also made a rubber squeak sound when walking

I don't normally bother to review but these sneakers are actually awesome. I bought more expensive cariuma sneaks and had to return awhile back - very disappointed. However - I purchased the white Velcro Golas with green accent last week and I am obsessed. They fit my wider than average foot perfectly - without making my foot look gigantic. They are super cute, they're comfy and the price is right.

Am a Size 38: went with the 7. (Unlike other brands, you round "down" to whole sizes, I guess with Gola). Managed to fit my orthotic (it's technically an insole with an arch, so I don't consider this a medical orthotic) in there. I don't have official "wide" feet but I generally have "wider" feet, and this fit ok, and made me feel like my feet looked slimmer (than a traditional "wide" shoe style). The velcro tabs is the selling point: I needed to adjust a certain area of the foot and this is convenient for me, without compromising the width in the heel. What was interesting was when I first got it, I thought this would be too narrow and tight, but it turned out after two days there is some slight "stretch" and it fit just right. So I was very satisfied. I want more pairs of this, in the other color but zappos seems to have sold out. Note with the rubber toe cover: some people might find this looks very childish (it's velcro, with a rubber toe, and blue fabric...it looks like something a toddler would wear). The only drawback: I'm not sure how long this pair will last. I tend to be hard on my canvas shoes, and there's nothing to indicate here that it'll stand up to lot of wear.

These were really cute. I love the ease and style of shoes like this. I wear a 9, and these fit great in the length, but I have a very long, skinny, and flat foot. I just don't have enough foot volume to fill this shoe--in order to keep it on, I have to pull the straps so tight the excess strap hangs over and looks unattractive.

Love the retro style of these and wanted something to put on and take off easily that wasn't a slip on, but there's too much space around the heel. My heel kept slipping out when I tried to walk in them. If I wear these without socks or low socks, I'm sure I would end up with blisters, so they're going back.

The velcro straps were way too long.

I love Gola shoes and have not seen one I liked in a while. These are flat and offer no arch support--meaning, they will look great to go out to dinner, but not for long walks.

Gola shoes are comfortable overall, and these are no exception. They fit nicely for wide width feet with no break in time needed. Arch support is wonderful. Walked around all day at a theme park right out of the box and my feet were happy! Just buy them already!

Omg these velcro shoes are so cute! Just what I've been looking for, for what feels like forever. They are comfortable and lightweight. I got the off-white color which Im sure will get dirty fast but totally worth it anyway, the look of these is super cute and they don't make your feet look like boats. They do run large, I am normally a 7.5 in sneakers and on the advice of others got these in a 7 which is a perfect fit. I also have a slightly wide foot at the ball (Keds are tight there) but these fit perfectly. Love!

I love these shoes. They are so comfortable and super cute. I took them out of the box and wore them on a trip without breaking them in -no blisters or pain. Got a half size smaller than my usual sneaker size.

I have to wear and insole in my shoes and the insole made these seem too narrow across the top of my foot. Any wider and the toe box would be too large. These are really attractive and I thought the velcro would be nice for my arthritic hands. Just wish they had a built in arch support.

Be specific about your likes and dislikes. How was the fit and size? What does the material feel like? How awesome (or not) do you feel wearing them?

Love this style so much. I'm a long-time fan of converse and Vans Old Skool. After Just one wear it may be too early to say, but these seem to fall between those two shoes in terms of comfort--more cushion than chucks but not quite as cushioney as vans. Love that they are less ubiquitous than either of those, however. Like many other reviews stated, I ordered down from my regular 8.5 and the 8 fits great.

I bought these for my mom who is 88 but very fashion conscious. She needed some solid shoes for rehab and these are perfect with the Velcro. She told me she loves them and I love them!
