I have narrow ankles and was having trouble finding a short boot that held my foot in place. The Joseph Seibel Sienna 17 was a wonderful find. The laces do the trick; they keep the boot securely in place and yet the leather is so soft and flexible that any movement in my ankle is perfectly comfortable. The toe is rounded but not boxy looking, with plenty of wiggle room. I wear a size 9 in running shoes and an 8.5 in dress shoes; the size 40 in this boot is perfect in length. I have a somewhat narrow foot and this boot works well. I used leather conditioner and a waterproof spray to help protect the leather but it still scratches easily. I am content with a weathered look!

Love love love these boots. The leather is soft and pliable. The inside has a soft lining. The fit is comfortable for lots of walking. I tend to be between a 7.5 and 8, so I ordered the 39 so that there would be room for thick socks. They have a worn in look, and may scratch easily. However it is part of the look of the boot and I really like it. I might put a waterproof finish on them. Overall a great boot!

I have found that this brand often runs a bit small. I have been looking for that perfect boot and always end up needing a size larger with Josef Seibel. Other than that, I really love his shoes.
