These boots are super cute and stylish. They also feel true to size and the leather has a lot of give to accommodate a wider foot; however, they are already falling apart out of the box. You can see the glue used to attached the sole to the upper boot, because it already looks like the two pieces are starting to peel apart. There is also glue visible on the heel and part of the upper boot. The pair I received had several scuff marks and a chunk taken out of the heel. The heel itself is made out of some cheap foam material that does not seem durable at all. The leather seems buttery not because it is luxurious, but because it is thin. The stitching is loose or incomplete in some areas. They cheaped out on just about every aspect of this shoe and it's not hard to tell. These boots are not well made, period. At this price point (around $130 at the time of this review), I wasn't expecting a pair of heritage boots, but I was expecting something better than a one season special.

I love this boot. Very nice soft (if thin) leather. They do run narrow. I never buy wide shoes but I exchanged my 7.5M for a 7.5W and the wide was definitely better. I tend to wear 7/7.5 in most shoes. (In the photo the shoe on the right is the 7.5W and the left is a 7.5M) These are very stylish on. The red is really a beautiful color, much more neutral than the image portrays. I’m looking forward to wearing these a ton and dressing them up and down.

I had a similar style shoe that I wore to death and was looking desperately to replace. When I finally found these I had to get them right away. These shoes are a beaut. The leather is very thin and soft to the touch. I ordered the wide width and they fit perfectly and are so comfortable. The zipper side makes them so easy to put on and off. You can adjust the tightness with the laces and once that’s set, you never have to lace them again. Really really happy with this purchase.

With this wonderful little boot, I figured out that I need to have the ankle fit snug for a good fit. Many of the other styles I tried, though beautiful, were so open at the ankle (wide feet does NOT automatically mean thick ankles, as some reviewer erroneously stated) that they caused me to slip around in the heel.) As we age, many of us have bunions, or have had surgery, or have broken a toe - all of which cause the foot to widen.

These are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. I found them by Googling "butter-soft leather boots," and they lived up to that description. Being able to lace them up to my own personal fit just once, and then use the zipper every subsequent time I wear them, is very convenient. The insole is some sort of memory foam that cushions the foot nicely. Arch support is adequate for all-day walking. I have a difficult time transitioning from my Teva flip-flops to closed shoes every autumn. These made for a painless changeover. They're also really cute. I got the wine color, which is very pretty and surprisingly neutral. I've worn them with red and purple shirts/jackets, and they match both -- and just about everything else in my winter wardrobe. They're great with a long skirt or with jeans. Best yet, dressed up or down, I can wear them all day and into the evening and feel as if I'm wearing, if not my beloved Tevas, at least comfy slippers.

These are falling apart after only a month of 2 day a week use. I had received the brown ones as a gift and liked them so much I went back for these, but that was a mistake. Immediately the soft leather ripped and continues to do so in a way that the other pair did not. Not worth the money.

These are my "goldilocks" booties -- a perfect fit for my very bony, slightly narrow, extremely picky feet. The leather is lovely and soft, and molds to the shape of my feet right away. The padding is ample, heel is the right bit of lift without straining and I can lace each boot to exactly the right place, then leave it like that because the zipper allows a quick entry. They are also a nice feminine shape. I won't be wearing them in the snow, but will take them on long walks around town. The cap toe adds a bit of extra style. Love these!

I am a true 10.5 with slightly wide feet so I opted for the 10 W and they fit perfectly! I think they run larger in length and run narrower in width. The wide width is perfect, I've tried other shoes in wide before and they were just too loose so it makes me think this is a narrower shoe to begin with as stated in other reviews as well. The laces are real so it can also be adjusted which is great! I got the brown color and they are just beautiful. My fellow 10.5 ladies - please make an effort to review shoes so we can help each other find shoes that fit us - also fyi Walking Cradles has been a great brand that comes in 10.5.

The fit is comfortable but the leather is not the blue hue as pictured. It's more of a dull gray shade and doesn't look right with blue jeans, gray or black pants. Disappointed that I will have to return them.

This is a beautifully made boot. The leather is soft and the fit is like a glove. It feels wonderful and conforms to my foot perfectly. I love this boot so much, I bought it in black and in the burgundy color (I forget what they call it). The heel isn’t too high. It’s like wearing a fine, English paddock boot. I read the reviews and others said the fit was tight and recommended to order a half size bigger and wider. I did that and immediately exchanged them for my correct, regular size. I can’t recommend these more. I may get a pair in every color! —Magical

These are extremely soft and comfortable. I have a narrow foot and am typically an 8.5. The 8 is these is perfect, and it accommodates my custom orthotics.

This is an absolutely beautiful boot. I got it in the beige. It feels a little narrow but its leather and will give. The style is so stunning and will look good with anything. I plan to buy the green but may try the 8.5 wide. All in all, such an attractive boot and I know the compliments are on the way.

I LOVE these boots! I took other peoples advice and got the wide and went up 1/2 a size - thank you! They fit perfectly, I didn’t have to return them! The leather is so soft and pliable, these boots feel like they are a part of my feet. Because I went a half size bigger they fit my lift and orthotics. I have a weak left ankle due to severe over pronation so I like that I can tighten the laces for better support. The brown has different color variations, but it gives them more character. The only thing I don’t like about these boots is the laces are super long, but several people have told me that’s the style. It could be too that I have skinny ankles.

I bought this shoe twice. The first one was an anomaly, and one shoe was not as wide as the other across the arch. The 2nd pair fits like a charm, and is roomy enough for me to wear my warm socks underneath. The leather is quite thin on the sides, so I worry that eventually the zipper may wear out, but for now they are just a super comfortable and cute pair of shoes. They are great for walking or standing around, and my feet didn't get tired after a full day out sightseeing in these shoes.

Like your feet are wearing kid gloves and you're walking on pillows! I walked all over NYC - at least 20k steps each day and my feet felt great! I love the zipper closure for easy on/off with laces tied. I now own these in 2 colors.

Returned the medium width, ordered the wide. My feet are ordinarily medium width, shoe size from 9 to 9 1/2. The 9 1/2 wide fit fine. Nice looking shoes and the ones I kept fit great.

These had no arch support , so back they went. Beautiful soft leather .

Other than running on the narrow side, it's a nice boot for true lacing down onto a flat instep and skinny ankle. Usually a 9W fits pretty well. I'm going to re-order in a 9.5W to see if that helps. The "Wide" is somewhere between Medium and Wide.

I’ve been looking for boots like these for years, ever since I wore out a vintage pair. I wanted dainty black lace up boots with an almond toe, made from supple leather — and that’s what I got. They feel worn in, right out of the box. I’m between a 7 and a 7.5 so I went with the higher of the two and at first they seemed a little loose so I tightened the laces and now they fit great. Bear in mind they look a little long and skinny on me, which is the effect I was looking for. I love the cushioned footbed.

I love these boots so much that I ordered another pair in a different color. They are extremely comfortable with no break-in needed. I am normally a size 8 in boots and these were perfect in my normal size. I would recommend these to anyone. They are great with jeggings/skinny jeans.

I have foot problems which makes shoe shopping extremely challenging. I wear a narrow shoe anywhere from a 10 to an 11 with, of course, 10 1/2 being my ideal size. Most shoes start skipping the 1/2 size at 9. Why, I’ll never understand. But these shoes seemed to have a bit more room in the toe box that I was able to fit in the 10. Also, too many times the shoe material was way too stiff and made the shoe uncomfortable. BUT, these booties are made with a very soft leather And so super comfortable! Got them in black. Hope to wear them a lot this fall and winter. Thank you Zappos for being so easy to deal with for the past maybe 7+ years!

These are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned! The leather is soft and the boots are very comfortable. I highly recommend these boots!!!

I love these, others said they run narrow, i didn't really think they did and the leather is sooooo soft it stretches a bit. I tried both the regular width and wide and went with the regular. I typically wear an 8 or even 8 1/2 and went with a 7 1/2 on these. I found with the 8's in the regular width that my heel came up when i walked. These were comfortable from day one, and once you get them set with how you like them tied you just unzip to get in and out of the boots. Love them!

I ended up going size 6 W instead of 6.5 M as usual as my feet are a little wide - the 6.5 had too much extra room at the toe. That turned out to be perfect. These are not sturdy boots, but more than fashion boots, decent for walking and with non-slip soles. Very attractive.

The fit and size are wonderful. I was surprised at how soft the leather was. Which means even though I'm keeping them, I'll have to purchase some boots that are more rugged and will survive Chicago's winters.
