I do love these Mary Jane style shoes - the strap helps with the comfort and fit, and the lower heel adds style without fatigue. And, the Sofft design provides support and comfort. I wore these to an evening fundraising event, where I was on my feet almost all night, including for dancing. The people "working" the event - the photographer, the event planner, etc... - raved about how cute these looked, and how the color was stunning. They wanted to know where and how I bought them, so of course I replied "Zappos!" with glee.

I've never worn shoes by this brand (Sofft) before, but I needed new work shoes for fall and did not like anything Clarks (my usual) has out this year. I usually wear a 10 but heeded the reviews and ordered both a 10 and 11. The 10 was too tight in the toes. The 11 is a little large, but the strap will keep it in place. The shoes are attractive, quite comfortable and the buckle is large and easy to fasten. The wide strap makes my not-tiny ankles look less not-tiny. Bonus is that these shoes are $30 or so cheaper than your average pair of Clarks. Overall, I recommend this shoe and may try others from this brand in the future.

I ordered this in the chocolate color, and my typical size, 8.5. I would have opted for a narrow width if it had been offered. This is a beautiful shoe. At first blush, it's plain, but the simplicity of its lines is what makes this shoe. I loved how pretty my feet and legs looked in this shoe. I also like the width of the strap, and the fact that it's a real working buckle and not a Velcro closure (the trend toward Velcro closures on street shoes is not a good move, in my opinion). I've never worn Sofft shoes, and was impressed by the serious cushioning built into the soles. I was hoping to wear this shoe for dancing; the slight retro vibe would be great. Sadly, all the wonderful cushioning made the toe area too tight, so it is going back. A shame, as I love how this shoe looks.

Another toe pincher. These shoes are cute, I purchased the chocolate/cork color. The interior has a lot of padding, however, if the bottom of the shoe (the balance) isn't made of soft materials, it will penetrate to the bottom of your feet and these seem that way. I'm not sure because of the toe pinching aspect. I just tried another pair of Sofft with the same issue. I may try a bigger size just to be sure they are on / off the list.

Beautiful shoe, but the 10 was too small and the 11 was too big. Also the heel, in a larger size ends up being higher than I wanted-- about 2.25". Was planning to wear this shoe for dancing and I am already taller than most of the men..

Beautiful shoe! Gorgeous two-tone look. These have been so comfortable, no breaking-in time needed. True to size in the 7 to 7.5 sizes. Not too high of a heel, easy to walk in. Very pleased with these!

I was looking for supportive dress shoes to wear to a holiday party and these fit perfectly. I walked for hours before my feet felt any sort of soreness.

The wide strap on these shoes is so flattering. They are a bit snug in the toes, but I'm hoping the leather will stretch. I did order my usual size and a half size larger as some suggested, but the larger size was too big. The smoke color is shinier than it appears, but they are so classy.

The shoe is well made of beautiful leather. The cushioned footbed and moderate height made this dressier Mary Jane great for wearing longer hours at work. I will be sending them back, though, because the toe area felt a little too narrow, making the shoe feel about a half size too small.

I'm wearing them as I write, but I haven't yet given them the Day At Work treatment. Still, they feel great on my feet--in the half-size larger that I ordered because reviewers cautioned that it ran small. (I also bought my usual size--7.5/38 EUR--and indeed, it squeezed my toes badly, and there was no room in the toe box. They'll go back.) I bought these to replace a several-years-old and very much beat-up pair of black Mary Janes. I don't like pumps: not only are they uncomfortable (and I'm too old at 63 to suffer that much!) but I don't even like the corporate look I associate them with. Fortunately, I don't have to achieve it. But I do like a shoe that looks professional and doesn't scream Comfort Shoe for Old Lady. And I find this one more attractive than this year's Clark's version of the black Mary Jane, Rosalyn Wren, which is less delicate-looking, to my mind. I didn't even try it on, but it might work well for someone else. I probably should have tried the Earth Noble (product/9090577) since I love that brand, but I wanted something a little simpler. So it looks like it'll be these guys.

This shoe is so stylish....I really wanted it to work. But after trying both my normal size (7 1/2) and an 8, I’ve had to accept these shoes are not for me. I bought them for choir performances that require standing for an hour or more, and that was not going to happen in these shoes, not for me. They have very good cushioning, and maybe when I was younger they would have been comfortable, but at age 64 they sadly are not.

The size 7.5 is my correct size , but these are at present tighter than I would prefer, however, my experience with leather shoes is that they will be more comfortable after wearing. It is interesting that I also ordered another pair, Josef Seibel also a 7.5, and they fit perfectly. Some of my older leather shoes have stretched and I think these will too. I love the Sofft Lorna style and the arch support couldn't be better.

Really very comfortable shoes! I have walked all day in these and the lower heel with generous padding keep my feet from aching. Not sure I love how thick the strap is, but overall a good buy.

I went off of everyone else's recommendations and bought a half size up. They are perfect in every way. They look elegant, but are comfortable enough for me to be on my feet all day.

The shoes are really cute, but they unforunately hit a bunion on the side of my foot. So I'm returning these. If you do not have any side foot problems. I recommend these shoes.

The shoes are nice. But, unfortunately I'm going to send them back because they the toe box hits a bunion on the side of my right foot which I developed a few months ago.

Sure enough as other reviews recommended, I ordered 1/2 size bigger & the fit was perfect. I can lecture & run across campus all day in these expertly designed shoes.

These shoes were very cute and fit great! I am 7.5 and ordered 7.5. I had to return because of the shiny foil color. If it had been a plain taupe color it would have been excellent!!

Definitely not comfortable, but very cute. I’m at the age where I have to factor comfort in as I’m on my feet all day and not getting any younger, so back they went unfortunately,

I normally wear a 6. I paid attention to all the reviewers who cautioned that these shoes run a half size small and so I ordered up. But lo-and-behold, the 6.5 was too big for me. These shoes are beautiful, but for me they are too big and so I must return them.

While the style is super nice, and I love the way it looked, it was a bit narrow in my regular size. When I got a 1/2 size larger, my foot slipped out and still narrow along toes. Super cute, but didn't work for me.

Oh how I wanted these to work! Super cute (brown, two tone). Perfect fit on the heel, but a small and tight toe box. Even ordering a size up wouldn't solve the problem. If you have dainty toes, give them a try.

this shoe has a very short toe bed and is at least a size too small/short.....comfort could be better if I find the correct size?
