Where do I start? The shiny brass/gold zipper and shiny plastic accents on the shoe were a shock. They looked crazy against the grey leather (?). These are old, old, unstylish, old lady shoes. What happened to Mephisto quality? These shoes were thin leather and plastic with garish accents. Horrible. What happened to Mephisto sizing? I ordered according to my being a solid 40 in European sizing. My feet hung over the sides of the footbed, and the leather was so poor that the shoe didn't support the sides of my feet to prevent them from doing that. I'm so disappointed. What a come-down from a once great and reliable brand! Don't waste your money unless you have a narrow foot and like shiny, shiny objects.

These shoes ran narrow in the heel -- a plus for me as I have a very narrow foot. The 'north to south' was too roomy for my narrow foot; taken care of by a shoe maker placing $50 worth of padding. Since the shoe was on sale, it made it a great fit! LOVE the black and gray pattern.

The finishes and colors are beautiful. I sent them back because I needed bronze and gold and the shoe was mostly a warm grey. They looked great in the box. On my feet they looked strangely long and narrow. I wear size six and my feet looked big! They were very comfortable except the tongue came up too high into my ankle feeling just a little uncomfortable. I sent them back and got another Mephisto. Hopefully, they will be a little brighter.

Comfort right out of the box. Side zip is cute as well as functional. I need the zipper to open as it runs a little narrow.

These are narrower than I expected but I can wear then with thin socks. They really look good with jeans and I like the style. These shoes have really helped me with back and foot pain I have experienced after a knee scope. I'm going to enjoy wearing these for years!

These shoes looked sturdy, attractive, and comfortable but the toe box was too narrow on it's own, and impossibly small with my orthotic.

This is a lovely shoe, but I had to return due to size availability.

I have many styles of Mephisto and this pair is the one I seem to wear most often. They are one of the few pairs of shoes I can wear comfortably with or without socks. I'm back to buy a 3rd pair!

The 8 fit perfectly. The only reason I did not wear them today is because it was raining! I had forgotten how much I livre Mephistos. They should advertise more. Thanks

I had previously purchased the same style shoe, in blue and white; the 9-1/2 fit perfectly. The right shoe in the pair I am returning is too short, so I am returning this pair.

I have this style in white/silver leather and the side zips are great. In the black suede, the material is too soft for the zips to work easily. Would be much better if at least the tabs on the zips were regular leather instead of suede. That said, they're comfortable once you get them on!

I sent these back because the sizing of Mephisto seems to have changed. A 7M has always worked for me, and my toes hit the end of this shoe. I didn't care for the look of them in person, either, in the "steel/pewter" color.

For the money, they were a disappointment.

Color very dull. Metallic trim very cheap looking.

Big disappointment- little cushion, hard sole, stiff leather. The stitching of the leather hits all the tender points on my feet. I wear a wide in most shoes, except for Mephisto, where I usually wear a normal width. This pair is very narrow.

I usually wear size 11 medium width, but this pair felt narrow and half a size smaller, otherwise it's a pretty pair of sneakers.

Back in the day, Mephistos we’re good shoes…not the case today! They fit as normal but felt terrible on my feet, no arch support, little foot bedding and overall just uncomfortable. They used to be my go-to when searching for new shoes but not anymore. To boot, their prices are way too expensive…I don’t mind paying for a good shoe but not for a low quality shoe!
