I wanted to keep this shoe but I felt like the strap was situated too far up on my instep. My feet are very sensitive. If I had the strap tight enough to keep my foot from slipping/sliding, it felt like it was digging into my instep, and after a day of wearing, I might have a problem. I need a wide toe box, and I felt like the toe box was comfortable.

I thought this would look nice and have the great Mephisto arch support. These have no arch support. Usually, I can wear Mephistos, Birks, Think! and Finn Comfort without orthotics. Unfortunately, this pair of shoes is too narrow for orthotics, even if I take out the cheap thin insole. I think I might be better off with a cute pair of flats that I can put my orthotic into.

I Ordered Mephisto Jenyfer in my usual size 10B and they fit well with plenty of toe room. Such a cute style! I wore Mephisto shoes while touring Europe years ago so I know Mephisto offers exceptional comfort. Don't know why I strayed away from this brand, but I'm back! I have Mephisto Jenyfer on my poor feet at this moment. Jenyfer's are long enough so that the big toe on my right foot does not hit the end of the shoe - that is always my problem! My right foot is a tiny bit longer than my left - that problem often causes the toes on my right foot to hit against the end of the right shoe-not so with Jenyfers. A larger shoe is too big for my left foot. While testing out Mephisto Jennifer's by walking inside my house, I can feel the shock absorbing inner soles and especially the extra protection around the heel area. Air is circulating around my feet. This shoe also has good gripping treds on the outer sole to guard against slipping. I'm older and my feet demand daily walking comfort - or they will ache and keep me awake at night. Thankfully, Mephisto Jenyfer seems a great fit for my foot - I'm about to set out on errands to prove out my good choice! *Thank you Zappos - for mega brands to choose from, fast service, good product descriptions, and easy, simple returns!!

Beautiful shoe. It has a wide and high toe box.; however, my toes still felt cramped, and a top toe bunion was in pain. I could use more padding on the bottom also, since I was in pain with every step in the house. The strap was a little high, and cut when I walked. I have other Mephisto Mary Janes that have slightly lower straps. I have a medium width foot and an 8 always fits me fine except in New Balance where I take an 8 1/2.

Great well made shoe. Comfortable all day and style wise it is like a dressy sneaker..

Yes, I know these Mephisto shoes are a bit pricey, though not as pricey as some. BUT they are very much worth it. They have great support for feet, legs, and back. You can wear them all day and in all seasons. And hey are fun to wear too because they are so very good looking. Save up, you won't be sorry.

These are handsome shoes with excellent support. They are all leather inside and out. And they fit my difficult to fit feet! Lucky me. You might be lucky too if you give them a try.

I really like these shoes. They are true to size for me and look nice, unlike some Mary Janes that make you look like a 5 year old. I have mid foot arthritis, and these straps and open areas avoid that. I do wish they had a little more arch support- it is negligible, but otherwise I'm pleased.

I tried these very nice looking shoes in two sizes, and wished for a third choice. My most comfortable Mephisto shoe is the Mephisto Marcia, a Mobils style that is sized wider than the usual Mephistos. (or so I understand. In that shoe, I wear a 5.5, and have ample room to wear socks. I just love those shoes, and the Jenyfer Mary Jane reminded me of them. But, pretty a the shoes are, I knew I would not be able to walk miles and miles and miles in them, so I returned the 5.5 and the 6. If Zappos gets in any Mobils, I'll be the first to try them again. I hope there will be a designation so I will recognize them!

These are gorgeous shoes. I really wanted them to fit, but unfortunately they are too narrow in the toebox for my feet.
