I had been looking at these sandals when I purchased a pair of very similar sandals made by Chinese Laundry by the style name Pure, also in silver. The Loeffler Randall Claudies are significantly more expensive, and fit a half size smaller (I bought the Pure in size 9 & bought the Claudie in size 9.5). The Claudie is an elegant sandal & by comparing them with the Pure sandals, I can tell the difference in quality with the Claudie being a better made sandal that is more elegantly finished than the Pure. However, the straps on the Claudie are just slightly closer to the toes, slightly farther away from the instep, so the fit is not as secure as the Pure. The Claudie woven leather cross straps are very soft and have a super soft, smooth leather lining on the underside on the edges of the straps. The Claudies are great looking sandals & I will save them for special occasions & will wear the Pures more day to day. I love the look of a flat, wide-leather cross strap sandal, & have many pairs in many colors from different brands. Zappos is, of course, the best source for them. I absolutely LOVE Zappos!
