Great boot, definitely made of high quality leather with great upper ankle support, a firm but comforting sole, and great traction in all weather situations. Leather laces are not nearly as difficult to lace up as I expected, though expect to have to undo the laces 2/3 of the way through the boot each time you remove and put back on. It definitely runs larger than standard sizes, I would highly suggest of going a minimum half size (almost to a full size) down from your normal shoe size. I went a half size down, and could have potentially went a full size down. Width is standard with no issues there. Overall very happy with the boot, great quality and seems to be durable. Would highly recommend.

Sent these union workboots back. Stiff, bad designed foot bed, tight in toe area, loose in heel. The whole fit simple uncomfortable at any price let alone what these cost.

Well designed and comfortable. Great support and comfort- did not have any issues with size.

Boot runs big. Order a half size smaller then usual sizing

I like these boots a lot. They look great and after a few days of wearing them they are starting to break-in and feel pretty comfortable. This is my second pair of Frye boots and I like the brand. The materials and construction seem to be high quality. These boots seem to run slightly large in both length and width. They are roomy, which I like for working with thicker socks. The boot design has a quite shallow toe area, so the added length helps, especially for me with an arthritic big toe. I ordered my normal size 11 and there is a lot of extra length at the toe. But even with the excess length in the toe, I don't get any heel slip if laced properly. They fit like a glove around the ankles and feel great. Despite the look of the tread (like a hiking boot), I would not take off on a long walk in these. They are not designed for that.

I purchased these boots in March 2022. From the outset they were on the stiff side, but broke in fairly easily. As others have stated, these Union Workboots run a little bit large, but my foot is on the small end of the spectrum (men's 7) and sizes are limited. While they are larger than what I am accustomed to, they are still a comfortable boot. The one complaint I have is the lack of customer support from the manufacturer direct - Frye. I noticed an annoying squeak in the right boot not long after wearing them. I thought at first it was something on the outer rubber sole that just needed to "wear off" as I was breaking them in. But after some extensive examination on and off my foot, I discovered the noise is coming from the glued/sewn together layers of the sole. On carpeted surfaces it's barely audible, but on asphalt, concrete and other hard surfaces the sound amplifies and sounds like you have something sticky on your foot. I reached out to Frye customer support and asked if it was something they could mend, if I returned the boots to them. They said they no longer offer repair work, but suggested "that you do your research to locate a reputable shoe cobbler in your area". When I replied back and asked "would this not be a warranty issue?" I got NO RESPONSE. So, now I am just going to look for a cobbler to see if this is fixable for a reasonable cost. For such a high-dollar brand as Frye, I expected better customer service. I guess they decided that a customer boot exchange (much like StubHub for concert tickets, but for used boots) was a better idea than actual customer service. Zappos doesn't even stock this boot right now, so arranging a return/swap is not an option.

Looked good. I feel like this boot was larger in size compared to other boots of the same brand.
