I recently had to give up all of my shoes and boots with any sort of heel because of back pain, so these have become my go-to ankle boots. The leather is very soft, and they required zero break in. I've walked miles in them around the city with no pain. I like that the sole is flexible and that the strap around the ankle is adjustable. They're also quite cute for comfort boots. My only complaint is that they have no traction so that wet floors can be quite slippery. They're also not appropriate for weather below about 40 degrees, but that's to be expected for a dressier boot. Overall, I'm very pleased with these and with my other pair of Taos shoes.

I discovered this brand of shoe/boot last year at a retail store that specializes in shoes for walking comfort. Zappos has a better selection and easier returns These boots are cute, comfortable, and supportive. They have the additional bonus of not being loud when one walks, and having non marking soles. ((which was a problem with the boots these are replacing) My one disappointment with Taos is that they don't have a waterproof style for those of us that are stuck with long sloppy winters. When there is an inch of slop on the pavement and puddles to navigate, I would love to have comfort, style, and function in one boot.

These boots are so comfortable. I did not need to break them in. They fit very well. I have medium to wide feet and they don't feel snug. The only issue I have with them is my own personal preference. I bought them to wear with boot cut jeans and i think they look funny. They look to me like I'm wearing pumps with brown matching tights. My friends agree although they don't think it looks weird. But for me, now that I've seen it, I can't unsee it. If I'd noticed it when I first got them out of the box, I would have returned them. I have plenty of short boots that work well with boot cut jeans. I think they'd be much cuter with skinny jeans or a skirt, but I'm not there yet! I'm giving them a four star because of that.

I have a very difficult time finding boots that fits due to very narrow feet with a high arch. Taos is one of my go to brands due to their narrow fit. On top of that they are extremely comfortable with a soft sole. The adjustable strap at the top gives me an even better fit. I highly recommend these boots!

These are so light weight and comfy, but they don't have much arch support which is a must for me for boots to last all day. Plus the line on the front toe box is strange to me. The silhouette is really nice, but looking down, it's almost like you have two shoes on because the front toe box design.

These are fantastic booties! The style is so cute, and look great dressed up or down. They are extremely comfortable and have a thick sole, which is a must for me as I had surgery on my left foot and get nerve pain if the sole is too thin and I feel the pavement. I tried on about 15 different pairs of boots, and these were so much more attractive and comfortable than the rest. This company is great and puts an emphasis on comfort and style, so you can't go wrong. They definitely run big (or a size 10 wouldn't have worked for me), so be sure to order a 1/2 size down. You can remove the insoles for orthotics, which is another plus, but they have such great arch support that I won't need mine. You might need to order your normal size, however, if you want to add orthotics. So happy I found these!

Great looking shoes, nice quality. Fit was as expected, I went up 1/2 size for comfort on long walks and winter socks, and they were comfortable out of the box. Not enough arch support for my (difficult) feet, but were fine when I replaced the insoles.

This is the softest comfiest boot, and I wear it all the time. It looks good enough for work - a little fuddy-duddy in styling and no one will *notice* them, but they aren't too schoolteachery. The heel, low as it is, is easy to roll, but I might buy another pair because it's so hard to find well-shaped comfortable boots that fit my narrow heel, high arch and wide toe box.

I have only ever worn Taos sandals. I love them because of the style and comfort for my achy feet. When I wear them I’m not thinking of my feet at all. That’s a good thing. I tried these boots and they are fantastic! They’re super comfortable but they’re also sleek and pretty. I’m very happy with this purchase.

These shoes feel like you are putting a soft glove on your feet. They felt wonderful right out of the box. I ended up wearing them for over 12 hours the first day and my feet felt great.

If this bootie had been slightly wider across the ball of the foot, it wouldn't worked. I should've believed those who said their bunion precluded this bootie.

These boots are SO comfortable but a little strange looking. I wanted to keep them for the comfort, but style won out and I went for a different pair.

Loved the low heel but the bootie was too narrow for my foot. But I really did not like the look of the boot- as others had mentioned, it looks like a maryjane shoe with matching tights on the foot. Even my husband said it was not acceptable!

I loved these boots since they were very comfortable and rather stylish. Unfortunately, they only lasted 2 seasons of very light use. The leather separated on the upper. I expect more at this price point. When I got them out this year, they had to go straight into the trash.

I am writing after owning these for a while. They are comfortable. I am 60 and wear them on very long commute, stairs, treacherous sidewalks and they hold up really well. MY BIG PROBLEM IN THE SEAM CROSSES DIRECTLY OVER MY BUNION. SUCH a huge bummer. without the seam they would be perfect. Hope they make similar and get rid of the bride seam over BUNION!!!!! Painful.

Very comfortable shoes. This is my second pair in a different color. I’m happy they offer them in lights to accommodate my bunions

I ordered a half size larger because of the reviews I read before buying the boots. Good move to order a half size larger. They were so comfortable and I wore them all night to a dance gig. The heals were no problem, didn’t even know they were heals. Great, fun boots to wear. Thanks Zappos!

I have narrow feet and these boots fit very well. They are true to size. I love Taos because the arch support built in and the insole easily comes out to replace with my orthotic. The heel height and simple cut of the shoes make them great for work and casual.

I LOVE these boots. I'd searched all fall for a pair that fit and looked good with leggings, to no avail. Then I saw a FB add for Taos boots, and these caught my eye. They are reasonably priced, and wear very well. I like them so much I ordered another pair, to hold for next season. Definitely a great purchase!

I really wanted to like them they were so soft but hard wasn’t enough for me and needed wider heal. Zappos’s service great as always!
