While the size was correct, the heel of the shoe slips, alot. I know it won't be comfortable for my active lifestyle. Sadly, I am going to return.

I wanted to love these boots but after trying two different sizes based on other reviews I had to send them back. They were too big in the heel area and slipped with every step making it awkward to walk and overall they looked to clunky/chunky for the look I was going for.

this boot at first was a bit uncomfortable as your heel slips, but as other reviewers noted this gets better as you wear them. I am returning them because they are HEAVY and a bit clunky. Also not crazy about the color I chose.

I loved this boot and it looked so nice but the heel was so loose that my heel kept slipping as i walked. i was so disappointed as I really liked the boot and the look. I do have a narrow foot and the foot felt fine, it was just the heel slipping made it hard to walk

I think these are really cute boots. Unfortunately I have wide calves and these didn't do anything for me. Returned.

Super cute boots but extremely uncomfortable. I’ve had them for almost a year and they still don’t feel broken in.

Very narrow boots

I absolutely love the look of this boot...I bought the distressed one that states it's black but it is definitely brown. Cute style! But it is very tight across the ball of my foot and very loose in the heel. Previous reviewers stated that the heel improves with wear but the middle of the shoe is so tight that I can't risk it not loosening. Sadly, I'll have to send these back

Boots are cute, but fit is not fab. After reading reviews & checking here for which size, as I'm either a 6 or 6.5 in footwear I ordered the 6. The left boot fits fine in length & width, which is a surprise as I tried the right boot on first & it's SO snug - in length AND width. I felt like my foot couldn't lay flat without exerting a lot of effort and expected the same experience with the left. They feel like 2 different shoes. I would keep them if they both felt as the same, but unless I can somehow strrretch the right, it's all wrong. So disappointed as the next size up may be too big for my left foot?

Such a strange fit. I normally wear a 6.5 and found the 6 more comfortable. As you can read in other reviews, the heal goes up and down and it's a narrow fit. I did think sizing down made these wearable - but I got scared by the price and returned them.

I found these to be much narrower in the toe box than my other Frye boots, even in a half size up....sadly returning.

Unfortunately had to return. Color wasn’t what was pictured and boot kept slipping off of my heel.

These boots are beautiful but as others have also found, the heel is extremely loose while the toe box is snug even after warming up on my foot. The looseness in the heel is not comfortable at all. Had to send these nice looking boots back.

I really wanted to like this boot. It did not feel right on my foot. The sole was very stiff with a weird rocking motion. I own 10 pairs of Frye boots and they generally feel good right out of the box, so I was disappointed in that part of the shoe. The color of the boot was strange. I really like the scuffed worn look, but the pair I received was way more brown than black and the pair did not really match each other very well. I also noted the leather on the upper portion was not uniform. On one boot the leather was very flimsy and the other boot was very stiff. Maybe I just got a hold of an "off" pair, but I didn't feel they lived up to the price. However, I love Frye and will continue to buy their products from you guys.

Way too much heal slippage & toe bed rock hard . Def not what I expected especially as they are $$$. Plus color not at all like shown.

I had such high hopes for these boots. I ordered them in my typical Frye size but had to return them for a half size smaller. I ordered the Redwood color. When I received the exchange pair the sizing was good but the color was way off. They were not even remotely the color as shown in the photo or like the first pair I received. These are more of a muddy brown color with absolutely no hint of red. I will be returning them and looking at a different style. Seems to be a quality control issue. Very disappointing!!

Gorgeous boot but fits like a medieval torture device. Very narrow through the forefoot and wide in the heel. The forefoot may give a little with wear, but I will never know for sure. My heels rubbed so uncomfortably that the skin was red after wearing a short time around the house. I should’ve listened to other reviews, but the boot is so beautiful with the right amount of edge that I had to try.
