My feet are normal/medium width and a solid size 8.5/39 Euro. I always see Frye boots I want to try but I've stayed away in the past based on the reviews that say they are made for people with narrow feet. I decided to take a chance on these little gems because they were just too beautiful to pass up.....and the best color (Stone Washed Antique) was on sale! The day I received these I also received two pairs of hiking boots but I went straight for the Frye box and slipped one on my right foot. Oy....too narrow/too tight...was my immediate reaction, and a little disappointment since the look and feel of the leather were sumptuous. However, this was after a long day at work and I felt tired and my feet were probably a little swollen so I got up the next morning and tried them on again with a thin pair of socks. They were still a bit snug but in a "secure" way, not in an uncomfortable, too tight way (if that makes sense). The length was spot-on (I got my normal size -- definitely no need to size up) and the arch support was amazing (possibly a tad too pronounced). I took the plunge and wore them to work the next day and they felt good all day. I work in an office setting so I'm not on my feet constantly but I move around quite a bit and I took a leisurely walk on my lunch break. Comfort is a BIG DEAL to me and the older I get (in my 50's now) the more of a big deal it is, so I'm definitely not going to spend that kind of money (even on sale) just for a cute pair of boots. They do take a bit of work to get on and off (I have high arches) but I am soooooo glad I kept them. I think they will only get more beautiful and comfortable with age and I plan to wear them frequently and for a long time.

I am so very happy with my purchase! These are such high quality boots. I alaways take a 7 and that’s what I ordered here. They fit like a glove. They are absolutely what was looking for-a cool western Chelsea boot. I got the black because I will get the most use with them and I am already wearing them. Construction and leather both superior. LOVE!

OMG do I love these boots. Do be careful. Frye seems to vary sizing boot to boot. One sacha can be big, one small and one just right. Well made, comfortable, elegant on the foot. An added bonus, Frye sells detachable embellished and unembellished harnesses for these boots and others (there is a list) But buy one and you can get total variety. I already purchased a back up pair. Highly recommended!

I've been wearing Frye boots for over ten years. These boots do not feel like the level of quality that I expect from Frye. I tried them on once and wanted to try them on with different socks. When I put the boots back on a second time, the pull strap broke on one of them. I did not find them difficult to get off and on. I was not pulling on the strap in a destructive way. Also, I expected them to be less gray and more light brown. Disappointing. I was hoping to make them work. Returning.

It’s truly a beautifully crafted boot. The design is impeccable and the material really is worth the money. I believe the fit is true-to-size but the ankle runs a bit narrow. I got used to this as the fabric behind the leather allows for stretch. I wear a 5-5.5 in any given shoe and purchased a 5.5. No regrets here; I’m extremely satisfied with both the looks and compliments I receive when wearing these boots.

This boot feels good and true to size. Might have to stretch the toe area just a smidge but so far I am loving them. Very little break in. I’m generally skeptical of snip toe boots but these are very comfortable. The color of the leather is gorgeous. These Frye boots are made in Mexico and the construction is very good.

I love these boots. Obsessed over them for months before I bought them. They go amazing with flowy skirts, skinny jeans, cropped pants, everything. It is with great devastation that I report that they run almost an entire size too small. I’m 5’11 and have size 11 feet, and other Frye boots fit me. However perhaps the pointed toe affects the sizing here; my toes pushed against the front of the shoe. I tried to convince myself it would be okay but I had to face the facts and return them. The saddest part of this story is the fact that they literally do not make them any larger. Loved these and wish they fit. They’re beautiful.

These boots are beautiful, super on trend, and comfortable too! I was looking for a short, black, western inspired boot, to wear with ankle length pants, mom jeans, skirts & dresses. I tried several brands at various prices points. In the end, I decided to get the "real" deal and was not disappointed. The leather is beautiful and smooth. The styling is perfect--western, but not over done. The sole has a hint of cushion, so they were comfortable on 1st wearing. I do recall having had to break in other pairs of Frye boots in the past. Not these. I did need to size up. Started with the 8.5 as that is the size I typically wear. Moved up to the 9 for comfort and sock wearing ability.

I love these boots! They are very comfortable. My foot measures 7.5 and the 7.5 fit perfectly. No slipping. They are made well, beautiful leather. I ordered the taupe color. The heel is the perfect height, not too high, just enough. They look great with skinny jeans or boot/flare. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Excellent boots! These are awesome boots, high quality that you'd expect from Frye, and super-stylish. The only thing that is a little strange is the initial fit. When I first put them on they are extremely tight, to the point that I thought they were running a 1/2 size too small. However, what happens every time I put them on is that within a minute or so they give a bit and then the fit is perfect. I've never had a pair of boots that do this adjustment after putting them on but it works for me. Just a little strange to get used to. After the first minute or so they fit like a glove. They're super comfortable and a beautiful color. Super-stylish.

The boots are gorgeous but all the reviews that I read are completely true! I am a size 9 in all shoes but I think i'll need to size a full size up. While I was trying the boots on, the pull back tab came completely unstitched. I was not pulling that hard, it is just not stitched on well and ideally there would be one on both sides of the boot. I really love this boot but I'm not sure that even sizing up will solve all my problems.

True to size & Great look. Light leather boot. The heel was too narrow for me though.

I love that Frye is finally offering women's size 12 booties! These boots are awesome. Took a few wearings to break them in probably due to the pointed toe but never caused blisters or felt like I couldn't wait to take them off. Now they just mold to my feet and I love the way they look w knee length fall and winter dresses. I'm going to have to buy some tights-- freeze warning here tonight!

These boots are beautiful, comfortable and well made. I was amazed at the price AND my size was available! It was recommended and the reviews agreed that you need to go up a half size. I am normally a 8 but I bought the 8 1/2 and they fit like a glove. The stretchy shaft is snug and goes perfectly with skinny pants. Frye does not disappoint. They have maintained a quality standard where others have not. Definitely buy these.

These boots are amazing, go with everything and they fit perfect. I love the leather and the color of these Frye booties. I highly recommend these boots.

I originally wanted the black but ordered the bronze because they were half off. I ended up loving the bronze so much more than I thought I would. They look good with dresses and skinny jeans. They are not the most comfortable shoes, but comfortable enough to wear all day and I hope they will get more comfortable as I wear them in. The toe is a bit narrow. I am normally a 7.5-8 and the 8 fits well. I am a bit worried about how the loop and elastic will hold up, but otherwise the quality seems pretty good.

I’ve always wanted a pair of Fryes and saw these were on sale and couldn’t pass them up! Initially when I put them on, they did seem very snug. For reference I’m usually a 7.5-8 with narrow feet and I got an 8. In terms of comfort these are not shoes that I could wear all day. I think that as the leather stretches it’ll get better but these shoes make my feet hurt if I wear them all day.

These shoes surprised me and fit perfectly! I’m usually between a 7.5 and 8 and went with an 8. I have pretty narrow feet and they fit snug so that’s something to keep in mind when buying these. I’m absolutely in love. Can’t wait to wear them with everything!

I love these! They fit great with a pair of trouser socks. I’d been looking for a squared-toe half boot and these are perfect. Color goes with anything, too - great boots!
