I wasn’t sure about width since I have a bunion and sometimes shoes in my regular size (8M) are just too tight at that part of my foot, causing it to ache. So, I ordered both the 8 and 9. I have been wearing the 8s around the house all day and so far, so good. I was looking for a fairly simple low heeled riding boot to wear with skinny jeans and these just may fit the bill. The shaft height is a little lower than some others, which is OK for me because I am only 5’3”. A taller girl may find them to be a tad too short. The circumference is fine for skinny jeans with socks. They may be a bit sloppy to wear with skirts/dresses and a bare leg. But overall, they seem to be of high quality.

This is a beautiful boot, as are all Pikolinos shoes. Very well made, soft leather, comfortable. However, I should have checked the shaft circumference before ordering. My leg is swimming in them, so I need to return.

Really loved the look of these boots. Beautiful color and I zipper on the outside of the boot is very stylish. Unfortunately they are were too narrow for my foot (I need a roomy M but am not a W). I purchased in a size 41, which is my usual size in this brand, and the moment I put my foot into the boot I could feel the squeeze across my foot bones. Thank you to Zappos for the wonderful return policy, I will keep looking for my perfect boot.

The foot was roomy while the calf was pleasantly snug -- which was a pleasant surprise since normally I have the opposite problem. Issues I had though were that the ankles were quite wide, rather than being tapered in, so these looked and felt more like rainboots than fashion boots. Also the prominent zippers on the sides are just for looks; they don't actually zip down. Personally I just felt the design was too busy with all those zipper pulls flying around.

These weren’t comfortable at all, and I was very disappointed. They were cute, but the material felt a little cheap compared to the price. There was little cushioning or support on the insole, and it was particularly notable in the heel. The foot was narrower than I expected.

I miss Pikolinos' former quality. I used to buy Pikolinos because they were super well made and comfortable. They were expensive but worth it. These boots are not the brand I remember. The leather is nothing like what Pikolinos used to produce. It does not appear to be full grain and seems cheap. The comfort is lacking as well. I would pay more for better but I no longer know where to get quality shoes. Stores don't carry quality and now even Zappos is failing me. If you are reading this review, and you also want higher quality shoes that last longer, please tell Zappos that in the quick survey at the bottom of their webpage.

This is the first pair of boots that are tall that I’ve been able to wear. I’m 5’1” and normally tall boots hit the back of my knee right where it bends. These are perfect. I also add that Pikolino’s is the first boot I bought where I didn’t have to add a half size to make room for socks. Go Pikolino’s !!!

These boots fit perfect and are very comfortable. I love the color and feel of the leather.

Very happy with these boots. I live in the PNW, so was looking for a waterproof boot. I have several pairs of Pikolinos but these are my first pair of boots by them. I normally wear an 8.5 and ordered a size 39, which fit perfectly with a pair of modicum weight wool socks. The lining in the footbed is soft—I may add a thin insert just for more cushion because I walk a lot where I live. I admittedly have narrow feet and small calves, so these fit me great, but I could see how others may find them too snug. Customer service at Zappos is excellent as always and I’m very pleased with my purchase.

Pinkolino boots are well made of beautiful leather, fit well and last forever. If you want to wear your boots for many years and are ecologically conscious, buy a pair of Pinkolinos.

I vary between 7.5 and 8, and have a small bunion that sometimes contributes to sizing and comfort. I ordered the 38 and the 39, based on a review that described a pinch across the top of the foot. I put the 39 on and it felt a bit big through the foot, but fine with socks. I tried the 38 and it, too, felt fine. I decided to fit test the 38 for a whole day around the house. I am so glad I did. For most of the day, the boots felt fine. But around hour 5-6, I started to feel an ache across my foot with the bunion. So, the next day I did the same fit test with the 39 and it was so much better. It is a tiny bit sloppy in the length, but not uncomfortably so. Sizing up definitely helped with the width. I tried the boots on with socks and skinny jeans. The boots easily zip up, but aren't too sloppy or gappy. The shaft height is a wee bit shorter than other knee boots I tried. Not an issue for me as I am 5'3", but a taller gal may want a bit more length in the shaft. The style is fairly classic riding boot and simple, and should be fine for me with skinny jeans. Not sure they would work too well with bare legs and a casual dress, but I haven't tried that yet. The leather is very soft, and I like the soft sole. It is quiet walking across wood floors and feels more cushiony than a harder sole.

Not comfortable, look nice but not $260 worth.

Amazing boots, fit true to size (almost - lately Pikolinos run small, I normally get 8.5-9, in Pikolinos it’s now size 10). I am tall, 5’10”, the boots are slightly shorter than I would prefer, but still look great. Very comfortable, I highly recommend!

These boots are great! Pikolinos website now lists sizes 8.5 (European size 39) and 9-9.5 (European size 40) separately. I am normally 8.5-9 so I European size 40 and they fit great! I am tall, 5'10", so they are a little bit short for me, but still look nice. Most importantly, these boots are very comfortable. I highly recommend, just make sure you get the right size.

These were my favorite boots per fit and feel! They feel good on the feet, and soft to the touch. However, I unfortunately had to send them back because the leather on top end of the toe was so soft it tore very easily, with simple wear, first time out of the house, just from car into office.

I love these boots! I am about 5’2”, 110 pounds for reference. These boots are a great height that come to below my knee and don’t make me look stumpy. The calf width is good, not loose and not tight. I have a little room but not so much that they look gaping or sloppy. I have worn with skinny jeans and dresses/skirts with tights and boot socks and both look classy. The footbed has moderate arch support but not much padding so I took one star off for that. Beautiful caramel colored leather that looks and feels like high quality.

Even better looking than in the pictures. They're a true medium width, not on the wider or narrower side. Although I usually wear a medium, these boots didn't accommodate my bunion. Hated to return them,

Perfect in every way. I bought these just in time for week away for work and wore them the entire time. Through the airports and train stations, to meetings, out to tour buildings and work sites, to dinner and sight seeing. You never are supposed to do this with brand new shoes, right? They were so comfortable and so stylish that they worked for everything. No sore feet, no blisters. Leather is really nice and they look great. Highly recommend!!!

For those who are unsure whether to trust the US or the European size, in this boot, pay attention to the European. I wear a 43, which is usually an 11.5 or 12. But in this boot the 11.5 was a 42, and out of wishful thinking I ordered it. Gorgeous boot, but too small for me. But as always, I was blown away by Zappos' excellent customer service.

Perfect fit super comfortable. Very simple and plain if that is the look you need. I opted for a pair with buckles, so returning these, however these are amazing!!!!! Super comfortable. I have a very narrow foot and normally wear a 8.5 or 9 in most shoes 9.5 in tennis shoes and I got these in 9 but could have even gone to a 9.5 and would have worked as well.

Love the shoe! Bought one for myself and it’s so comfortable that I purchased another one for my daughter too!
