Usually I wear an 8 1/2 but one foot felt too snug so I am now waiting for a 9. They are truly adorable so I am hoping the 9 will feel better!

I really like the boots. I wanted them to work but they are too small. I normally wear size 8 and would need to get an 8 1/2. It is a bit difficult to pull on as the leather strap at the back is not big enough to put your finger through to pull and as I have arthritis in my hands, it was hard for me. I think that the front leather will take a while to soften up and not rub against the upper ankle/shin and possibly cause a sore. I am still debating about trying a size up as they are what I was looking for.

These run a bit small. I typically wear an 8.5 in Borns, the 8.5 was way too small. I ordered the 9 and still needed to have one shoe stretched just a bit. They are very comfortable and look cute with jeans.

I bought this boot in back and it looks great. It's made well and the insole and outer are quality. The problem for me is the round toe box as my big toe touches the tip. If you don't have an issue like this and are looking for a cute comfy bootie give them a try.

Ordered the 8.5 and the 9 - I have old born boots in both sizes that fit my narrowish foot. In these, the 8.5 is a little short and the 9 slipped on my foot. The leather is very stiff and uncomfortable on the front of my ankle - it would probably soften with wear...Not the boots for me but I will keep trying thanks to awesome Zappos.

I really wanted to like these. They are beautiful and waterproof, exactly what I wanted. However, the forefoot was way too narrow, and because they have no zipper they were hard to get on and off. Back they went, sadly.

I bought an 8.5 (normally wear 8) and even then they were a bit snug. The upper front of the boot was higher than expected and very stiff. They dug into my ankle area too much. Had to return.

Ridiculously small!

These boots just fit very odd on my feet. I was able to get my feet in easily with a roomy toe box but my feet felt like they were being squeezed in the front like there wasn't enough space between the top of my feet and the boot. I have never has this happen. My feet are not fat and I don't have a high instep, quite the opposite I have flat feet. They were also just unattractive on my size 11 feet. They made my feet look bigger.On a positive note the insole is removable and was soft and had enough cushioning with mild/moderate arch support (depending on your needs). Anyway back they go and the search continues.

These ankle boots are the worst pair of Born boots I ever bought, this review has nothing to do with Zappos. They fit perfectly, even a little wiggle room for my toes. No matter what socks I wear with them, they wind up down to my toes, must be from the friction on my back heel that hurts from wearing them. I'm a 9.5 & they do fit good, so I don't understand why this is happening. I obviously can't return them because because I wore them outside or I would. They are totally useless to me & they were a bit to expensive. Totally unhappy.

While this is no reflection whatsoever, I've never been more disappointed in Born boots. I'm a 9.5, they fit perfectly, not to big, not to small. Even have just the right amount of wiggle room for my toes. Problem is my socks keep falling down in the boot, no matter what socks I wear. Never had this happen before & obviously can't return them because I wore them outside already. So unhappy.
