Although I have to return these, the problem is my feet and ankles, not the shoes! These shoes are gorgeous. If I had seen these shoes on someone else, I'd have presumed that they were very expensive and maybe even from Europe — meanwhile, they're $150 (not cheap! but also not $295) and made by Clarks! Sometimes I can wear B/medium-width shoes, but not these. They're a bit snug, and would probably stretch a tiny bit with wear, but also they just look bad on my feet and legs. If you like how they look online, you'll be pleasantly surprised by how they look for real. And they'll probably fit your normal feet just fine!

These are a great mainstay oxford shoe. The leather is thick and high quality, without being sharp or uncomfortable around the ankle. Overall I would say they have a structured menswear appearance but are not too clunky or frumpy. Because of their simplicity and quality I feel confident that they will get a lot of wear for years to come.

These are beautiful shoes. When I first put them on they were quite tight and very narrow. I had to wear my ski socks in front of the heater for a few hours to get the leather to loosen up a bit. Still wearing them in and have only worn once, but they did end up fitting better to my feet by the end of the day. My feet did not feel pained at all by the end of the day. Would recommend going wider than you think with these shoes though.

Love these shoes - though returning for a larger size. I have a wide foot and ordered the 8.5 Med they are too narrow - sending back for a 9. they look beautiful

I bought a pair of these shoes in black and I absolutely loved them. When I saw they had gray, I bought a pair of those, too. I wish they had more colors. I love these shoes and I get compliments every time I wear them.

Comfortable right out of the box. Bought them for trip to Europe and they will be perfect for all the walking there.

I love these shoes. I’ve been wearing a pikolinos slip on for about 4 years,— a softer, sloppier fit than these, so it took some adjustment to get used to the stiffness of this Oxford. I feel more ankle support, more metatarsal support, and an easier safer stride. I normally buy a 7.5 medium width in sandals, a 38 in European shoes, and an 8 in sneakers. These fit like a glove in the 7.5B even with my longer than average second toes. The dark grey looks almost taupe in certain lighting. I do worry about finding shoe polish. But they are so hipster! I cannot wait til they break in. Destined to become a fave shoe.

Wish the shoe had a better heel cushion to provide better support. Otherwise they were comfortable.

The fit and size were true. These shoes are very comfortable and look great.

Excellent quality and timeless look.

When I ordered these shoes my inclination was to purchase a size 7.5. However, as I was deciding the recommended size came up and said I should order a size 7. I ordered the size 7 and when it came it was a half size too small. So I've reordered the 7.5. There are some styles of Clarks Unstructured syle that a size 7 fits me but not in regular Clarks. Having said all that, these are really nice shoes and I would recommend them. They can be casual or dress depending on your mood.

Awesome!!! I love these shoes. They are not too wide... which is usually the problem with my long skinny feet! I gave all categories 4 stars as I have not worn them for an extended period of time. They will be perfect with pants or a skirt. Not clunky at all! I want them in brown too (hint hint)!

Holy cow these are tiny! I wear an 8.5 in athletic shoes with socks, and have other Clarks in size 8 that fit me beautifully. Got these in an 8.5 to wear a trouser sock and could hardly get them on. Size up!

I love these shoes, but almost didn't keep them because they're a smidge small. The leather has some give, so I figured if I wore them a bit, they'd be more comfortable. That turned out to be right -- as they're breaking in, they're getting better and better. They're very cute with cropped pants.

I have been looking at these Clark Oxford shoes since July. I had tried them on at the Clark store, but wasn't ready to spend the $150 for them. We move into the fall season, and I hadn't forgotten about them. Plus, I really wanted black Oxford shoes in general. Behold, Zappos not only have them, but they are on sale. Who doesn't love a sale? I couldn't wear the shoes out of the box. My right foot was fine, but the left shoe felt a tad tight. I have been wearing the shoes around the house for the past 4 days. They are GREAT! Very stylish, but still female. They are a nice black color, and I like the 2 tone of the sole. I have tried them on with skirts, dress, pants, jeans, and my pjs. Solid shoe for any wardrobe. I have worn Clark shoes for many years. They wear well. I am happy with my purchase. Thank you Zappos for again, putting a smile on my face.

While these are a beautiful, well-made shoe, they do not fit the same way other Clark's shoes do. The toe box is narrow and the heel is wide; even though my toes felt cramped, my heel slid up with each step. Regretfully, they are going back.

I really wanted to like this shoe, but it was too narrow so I had to return. I have an 8 7/8" width.

I feel crowded in these shoes, no arch support, and no room to put in insoles. I take them off as soon as I can. Wish I had returned them.

I usually wear wide for Clarks, but had to order medium width for the shoes as there was no option for wide, to see if the shoes would fit. As I was afraid, the width was too narrow for me (but I'm sure it was good for medium-wearing people). The design was really nice. I would have kept the shoes if it weren't for the width issue.

These are really cute classy shoes, however, it said there was a 88% arch support and there was not arch support. I need a shoe with arch support. I'll keep looking!

So much style but not enough comfort. Felt short. And just too stiff. I also ordered a less beautiful but more comfortable shoe made by Born (Rora) and will keep that one.

Really cute shoe but on the narrow and short side. I'll have to return them. Bummer that Clarks does not make a size 10.5 or 11.

I wear a size 8 medium in all of my other shoes. That is what I ordered when I selected these very attractive shoes. Alas, they were very narrow for my feet and I would not have been able to fit my orthotics into them.

Beware, these shoes are small. I wear an 8 or 8.5. I ordered an 8.5 and then returned them and got a 9. The 9's seemed ok at first - they're not. They're still too short. I've been wearing them around the house. I'm using a shoe stretcher - no luck. I got them when they were on sale yet it has still not been worth it. Strangely I had tried the 9 on in another location and they felt a little larger/longer and they were more expensive and I turned to Zappos because the price is right and I could try the 8.5's. I'm still hoping to break them in (but I may have to try breaking these) all for a pair of what seems to be a sensible, good looking, sturdy supportive shoe. If I had extra cash I would try the 9.5's - very frustrating.
