The boots are so comfortable and supportive. The only issue is that the tall tongue is attached to the upper sides of the boot. This makes it difficult to put on the boots if you have a high instep. Once they are on, it's great. If you are going to be taking the boots on and off during the day, it would be difficult and time consuming because you can't slip into them.

These were similar to a Ecco shoe I purchased in Amsterdam, but the quality of these is not as good. I cannot get my foot in with a sock on.

Nice shoe, but sent it right back. Too narrow, no way winter socks will fit in this shoe. It helped with my heel pain, but aggravated a side bunion because of the width. I agree with a former review that the attached tongue was a problem getting the shoe on. For this price, ECCO could have done better with the comfort factor.

These boots fit me fine. I like the materials used. I use these for rocky trails and they clean up easily. Comfortable from the start. Good support and traction. No problem wearing these around the house or to town and they have a nice style. Good in snow, wet conditions.
I'd also recommend:
Pajar, Steve Madden, Columbia, North Face.

Pulled out of the box today and put them right back in. I need comfort. These were not comfortable AT ALL. The heel was as stiff as a board and the top back of the boot dug into my skin. I understand the reason the tongue is connected to the boot (to keep the elements out of the boot) but getting it on with a light weight sock was difficult and I have small feet. Also, I'd order at lease a half size bigger. For the price, I expected a lot more. I'm going to Berlin and Prague in December and will be walking a lot at the Christmas Markets. These would make me get blisters in at least 2 places and I can't risk it.
