I love these shoes! I think Ecco makes some of the best shoes you can buy. The construction and quality of materials used are great! I wanted hiking shoe versatility and feel with a sneaker look and these are it. I ordered one size up as I usually do for hiking shoes and I got a perfect fit. I gave these shoes a 4 star for comfort because I prefer a really firm shoe. This shoe is a bit soft for my taste so I add firmer insoles and they are perfect. If you like a plush feel these are perfect as is! As always, Zappos service is outstanding!

I love this pair of cool sneaker/hiker hybrids so much that I actually bought both colors... and I don't even LIKE white shoes, so that's really saying something!! These, truly, are EVERYTHING. They look cool--a necessity. They fit my extremely finicky feet (nearly average width at the front, tapering to super-skinny heels, with a "low-volume" or very shallow-from-top-to-bottom profile which fits almost NOTHING well). The comfort level is off-the-charts... with a slightly-elevated heel (which doesn't put any painful pressure on my lower back, as completely flat/level sneakers do, rendering them unwearable), and the light weight and flexibility that--in runners' terms--a supinator (or under-pronator) like me needs. And, the quality is OUTSTANDING; the leather is super-soft and thick, the interiors are smooth and comforting, PLUS they're pretty water-resistant. As for sizing, I'd say these run TTS... which means, in my experience with other Ecco shoes, that they run about 1/2-size larger than normal. (All my other Ecco sneaks are a 36; in this pair--with thick socks--I feel the 37 fits much better.) I cannot recommend these enough. :)

Most comfortable casual shoe I have EVER bought! I wear them everyday. Looking forward to traveling in Europe with them. Like walking on a cloud...

I'm so happy with these shoes. Just received them tonight and cannot wait to wear them. They fit like a glove and have excellent arch support. I have high arches and these are not tight across the top of my foot. Easy on/off.

I am so very happy tonight. I literally have bought and returned 20 pair of shoes to make my finniicay feet happy for a trip. Thank you Zappos for helping me. Such a chore. I bought these Ecco on a last whim. I was trying to break in a another pair that was making my neuropathy flair. As soon as I put these shoes on it subsided. I was cheering and doing jumping jacks for my husband ?? Needless to say they are the perfect shoe for me with a long narrow, high arch and high instep foot. I also need a shoe that has no pitch. My foot just settles into this bed. Great support. They are also waterproof. Just perfect in every way.

Ecco has been my go to brand for sneakers and hiking shoes for the past several years due to foot ailments. I have always worn a size 38 and never have had a problem with fit. I have a medium width foot. I used them on two fairly strenuous vacations to South America and was without pain. They are stylish, sleek looking and offer good support. I now needed a sneaker/shoe that was waterproof and insulated enough for an upcoming trip to Europe in the winter. This shoe is perfect. In spite of the insulation and rugged soles they remain sleek and stylish enough for all sightseeing activities. The black leather is soft and weathered looking. They will look good with jeans, leggings or wool dress pants. Although initially they felt snug, I was able to use them with my prescription insoles and they did give enough to hug my feet without pinching or tightness.

This is one impressive sneaker/hiker-bootie hybrid! The goat leather is simply outstanding--that soft, thick kind which feels heavenly to the touch. The style is spot-on, with nods to both hiker boots and modern sneakers. Comfort seems to be top-of-the-line, too, with the smoothest linings, well-cushioned footbed, and nice shape. Unlike another reviewer, though, I found this to run true-to-my-ECCO-size... which means a half-to-full-size larger than marked; I'm a 6.5 in nearly all shoes/boots and 7 in athletic shoes (shallow/low-volume feet with super-skinny heels), but always seem to need the 36 [5-5.5] in ECCO. Since I ordered up a size, these are going back, but I'll definitely be re-ordering in my usual ECCO size. Danes FTW! :D

I have several pair of Ecco's which I love so I was a tad disappointed and surprised that sport exostrike did not have the same fit. The size 39 which claims to be 8-8.5 definitely leans towards an 8...and I am a solid 8.5. My dilemma is that while snug through the toes, they are likely to stretch over time and be ok. I'm pretty sure 40 would be much too large. Fingers crossed they stretch as I wear them because I love the style and overall comfort I know and expect from Ecco.

I'm surprised no one mentioned that this shoe has a sewn in tongue made of a heavy stretch fabric. It is hard to get into at first, if you have a high instep. The shoe mainly fit in length, but I found the arch was pretty intrusive, and I didn't like the overall comfort. I love most Ecco shoes, and I wish they would make more classics, like loafers for women, etc.

I ordered these for a spring trip to Croatia as a multipurpose shoe. Love the look but when I ordered in my usual size I couldn't even get them on. Returned (thank you Zappos for amazing customer service) and ordered another pair a full size up. Perfect! Very comfortable and cute. The softest leather. Purchased the white w/ grey trim and love the look of them. They make my foot seem smaller & narrower, even though they're a full size bigger. Pricey but anticipate they'll be worth every penny for my trip and afterwards.

I bought these for an early spring trip to Croatia. I was looking for something that could serve double duty- casual sightseeing as well as some light hiking. These seemed to fit that pretty well...versatile, not a full-on tennis shoe or hiking boot, but a cute combination. When they arrived I was very excited to see that they were just as cute in real life as on the website, but when I tried to get my foot into them there was no way it was going to fit. I'm a solid 8.5 M, and ordered a 39, which was recommended. These are exceptionally narrow, and although I finally got one shoe on, it was too short and looked like my foot was going to explode out the sides. They're very cute so I'm going to try them in the next size up, but if that doesn't work I'm going to move onto something else. For the price I expect total comfort!
