These hi top Birks are my all time favorite shoes. The minute I put them on I was in love with: the soft soft leather, the amazing, warm sheepskin lining (even on the insole), the toe wiggling width, the great support, the breathability, and of course, the comfort. I don't rave like this about very many shoes, but these deserve it to as I have looked long and very hard for my perfect shoe. At this juncture, anyway, these are it. I am female, love hi tops, own or have owned 4 other pairs of Birkenstock shoes, and have a wide foot. This eliminates me from the majority of feminine based shoes. Very few are wide enough. I gaze in wonder in waiting rooms at women AND men wearing these narrow little shoes. I wonder what their feet look like. I figure either their feet are very thin or very cramped. I also wore cramped shoes for years (these are the days before the wonders of online shopping) and often after being "fitted." All those tight shoes caused a couple of bunions and a hammertoe--geez, you'd think I was a model or something! And me never having worn a single pair of high heels. I wear thicker socks in winter so I wasn't too concerned about getting a bigger size (40 vs 38-39 Eur), and I was delighted when they not only fit with thicker socks, but I still have tons of room for my toes to stretch & wiggle. I will be seeking any future hi tops in the men's dept. though I will say my women's size 39 white leather hi tops fit me well with thinner socks. But, hey, I now prefer the extra toe room. I highly recommend these shoes to all my wide footed female buddies and to men too.

Love these hi tops! I found a non-fuzzy pair of these a year ago (now discontinued) and they are the most comfortable shoes I own (and they look badass too). So when I saw this version on sale, and an email code, I had to get a second pair. They fit great, even with the fuzzy lining!

I finally found a great shoe for work!! I’ve been a Birkenstock fan for probably 20 years now. They are the only shoe I’ll wear at work. However, it’s hard to find all black shoes that will protect my feet and be durable. I’ve only been wearing them for two weeks now so hopefully they’ll hold up well like my previous Birks. I love the shearling lining, my feet are never cold now! Very comfortable from the get go. I didn’t need a break in period. Probably bc I wear Birks all the time. After wearing these I could tell just how worn out my old shoes were. Long overdue for some new ones ??!! And every time I ask myself afterwards why I waited so long. (Oh yeah, it’s bc I don’t care for shopping!) I know this is rambling but to sum it all up I work 8-10 hours a day and I’m on my feet the entire time. These shoes have made my work life so much better. They feel very grippy which is good bc sometimes there are oil spills to deal with. I’m female and wear a size 40 in Birkenstock. I hate “regular” shoes because they always end up pinching in the pinky toes. Birks are the only way to go!! I just wish they’d make the Hancock in my size, that’d be a perfect work boot for me. Birkenstock, please expand your offerings into the work area more! Something that offers protection and durability. All black is great bc a lot of companies require certain dress code. Also my last request is to bring back replacement insoles like the ones that come with the original shoe/boot; ie, cork with suede lining.

I love these boots! I have terrible feet - flat, wide, different sizes - and Birkenstocks seem to be the only shoes that ever work for me. The real shearling goes throughout the entire shoe, including the footbed. The leather shoe structure is made in Portugal, with sole made in Germany, with obvious care and attention to detail. It is is soft and pliable with well-sealed seams. Very easy to break-in and so, so comfortable and warm. I have worn them in both rain and snow, and down into the teens and they have been completely waterproof and warm. Highly, highly recommended for both men and women! So worth the price!
