These shoes are brilliant. I bought them in Black, Navy and Charcoal. That probably says it all. I wear a brace on one foot that is inserted into the shoe before the foot. I've had trouble getting the brace to fit into other shoes, but no problem at all with these shoes, which is the reason I bought three of them. Also being waterproof is very important, as I walk my dog in all kinds of terrain, much of it wet grass. The best aspect, however, is that I have happy feet in these shoes! My feet feel invigorated even after wearing them all day! Considering there's a brace in one foot and five scars from surgeries gone bad in the other foot, this is nothing short of a miracle for me. These shoes were not so much a purchase as they were an investment in my well being. I'm very, very pleased with this purchase.

I now own three pairs of these shoes. I have had multiple surgeries on my feet and have flat feet with serious over-pronation. Looking for comfortable walking shoes is a never-ending hunt. Buts something about how these shoes are designed makes it possible for me to walk for miles. The removable insole is amazing -- I use them in other shoes now and wish Aetrex sold this insole separately. They are waterproof and the bottom sole is truly slip resistant. I have walked on slick, icy pavement and they have been really stable. They're casual but don't look like typical sneakers. Love them. I may get a fourth pair.

I was looking for a comfortable casual shoe to wear instead of the running shoes that I wear most of the time. I wear orthotics, which narrows shoe choices considerably. These shoes are more low profile, and have a more modern look. I bought a black pair and a navy pair. The look is monochromatic - no logos, or anything else that will stand out. The soles match the shoes; much better than white/light gray soles that show dirt. The shoe suede is water resistant - a nice plus! (I have not tested that feature yet). I found the shoes to be very comfortable, with adequate cushioning. The insoles are nice, and give pretty good support. I removed them and inserted my orthotics. That made my heels rise up a little, but not enough to be a problem. With or without the orthotics, my heels do slip a little. I was able to resolve that my adjusting the elastic laces. These are my first elastic laces. It took a little work to adjust them to fit, but now they will require minimal adjustment when I put them on. I didn’t have any problem making the laces lie flat - just tuck them in as in in the photograph. I would consider other colors if they were offered.

These shoes will be my only work shoes! Very comfortable and supportive. I am on my feet all day and these are by far the best shoes for comfort. Not stylish but a basic casual shoe.

Cute, comfortable shoe! I normally wear a 9.5-10 shoe - the 40 fit great.

These shoes run pretty wide, which is great for me, I normally have to buy a full size too large in a Medium width and I had to send those back and buy my actual size. I'm wearing them as a walking and gym shoe to help with my plantar fasciatis. They are pretty good, not as good as the Aetrex shoes that I wear to work in a different style, but they seem to be helping. I like that they are very springy and bouncy. Soft and squishy. Like others, I don't much care for the elastic laces and how the excess sticks out no matter how I try to tuck the end in.

So far I have worn these around the house on wood flooring to get a good feel for them. In my estimation this is a good support shoe, so much so that I do not need to use my own orthotics because the arch support is excellent in these shoes. That said, the heel tends to pitch my foot forward in these shoes, which takes some getting used to, but also alleviates pressure on my knees. My one dislike for these shoes is the elastic ties which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. I believe these will be very good walking shoes and they are water proof and slip resistant.

Good, attractive shoe. Not as strong an arch support as i would have expected, but a nice shoe. May return this, though, because the fit is not quite right. One shoe fits great, the other one, unless I make the laces very tight (uncomfortably so), keeps slipping off my heel and I bet may lead to a blister.

Loved the shoe but had to return due to the heel slipping with every step. I believe that happened because the shoe wasn't deep enough. Other than that it was a great shoe.

This shoe is just like the Aetrex Bungee Oxford, except fuzzy. Love it. But, it runs big. Always wear size 9 in the Bungee. This one is sized as 9-9.5, and it is big. Going to try 8.5 and hope it fits. Cute and cozy for coming cold weather.

I loved this shoe & wanted to keep it so much, it’s a comfort shoe that doesn’t look so much like a clunky sneaker. But, it only took me 5 or 10 minutes to find out it did not stay on my heel, slipped with every step. So, I have returned it & found a replacement at a local high end store. Thanks to Zappos for the easy return & refund.

I love the comfort

These are comfy, soft and a well made shoe. From Aetrex I was hoping for better arch support, it is better than average, but that's about it. Isn't good enough for my planters fasciitis. They do have a removable insole so I can use orthotics. However, when I did that they didn't fit right over the top of my foot. I am returning them.

I am a fan of Aetrex shoes and find they fit well and provide nice comfort and support on most styles. These are bit heavier than I would have preferred and you need to carefully adjust the drawstrings on them, but I do find them comfortable, although I wish they had more arch support than they do. In addition, they are also nice looking, which not many comfortable shoes are.

Aetrex makes the most comfortable shoes with a great footbed and this pair fits that bill with one big exception - the heal slippage issue. Ordered these in the charcoal - versatile color -and really loved that these are waterproof suede, something that would have been perfect for me as a dog owner, taking walks in all kinds of weather. Think there is a design flaw: if only there had been one more hole closer to the top of the shoe to tighten as with the Aetrex Berries, I would have been able to adjust to keep the shoe on my foot. I hate to send them back but alas, I must.

These shoes were very comfortable and seemed to provide excellent support. I returned them because they did not go with the outfits I was trying to match. The style is a bit clunky.

My heels do slip out a bit when walking, like others have said. But this is typical of new shoes, and I'm going to stick it out. I think they're already getting a little better, in fact, since I've been wearing them. I had the same brand, same size, similar style before, and loved them, so that's why I have confidence in these.

Great shoe but had to return due to heel slippage which even drug my sock down in my shoe. The ball of the foot did not have enough support.

A perfect shoe if only it had come in my size: Quality materials and construction, great arch support and very comfortable. I purchased the size 35,( 5 - 5.5 M) and 36, (6 - 6.5M.) My foot size is a US size 5.5, slightly wide. The 35 was very snug. I would say this size would best fit someone closer to a size 5. The 36 felt like a 6 in width and somewhere between a 6 to 6.5 in length. Aetrex, why didn't you manufacture a size 35.5, for US sizes 5.5 to 6 M? I think this size would have fit just right. I so wanted this shoe to work for me.

I was surprised at how long these are. I was walking out of them in my normal size, tightened up as much as possible. Otherwise I really wish they had worked, they would have been perfect for me in every other way.

These are really comforable but the heels slip no matter how tight I make the laces. Nice looking too but back they go.

I liked everything about this shoe but the color.

These shoes are very comfortable and they style is great. I wish they had regular shoelaces. The toggle system is terrible. There is so much of the cord left after tightening that there is no where to put it even if you try to tuck it in the tongue area. The shoe itself is wonderful, but I had to send them back. I love Aetrex.

I really wanted to love these shoes and all the other reviews were great. However, they felt huge on my feet and kept slipping off. I normally wear size 5 and I ordered the 35, but they were at least a 6/36 if not larger. Unfortunately, that was already the smallest size available, so I can't exchange them.

When I put the shoe on, they felt nice and supportive, and cushony. Once I walked, I slipped right out them. The toggle tie does not allow the shoe to tighten. They are going back.
