I was wearing for my job (waiter) a Merrell Pro Ac which are just great and comfy! But...it start showing some signs of being worn and abuse at work so i decided to buy a new pair to replace them. I thought in trying something new and different so I order a Timberland Pro Valor Duty Oxford soft toe yes...it was different in deed...TE-RRI-BLE idea! I was sliding all over the kitchen because they won't stick to the floor (Not oil/water slip resistant) so I return them and order this ones...they are better than the old Merrell I was wearing...they stick better to the floor (which the older ones was doing good already). Please...do yourself a favor and take care of your feet (and steps!) because no one will if you don't. You can't go wrong with this ones!!! They are great, comfy, easy to clean, feet stays dry, just enough arch support, light weight...super great slip resistant...just great to work with!

When I first started wearing these, they felt a half size too large such that my heel would slide up and down as I walked in them. I stuck with them because they are extremely comfortable, and the grip is incredible. I work as a server, and these don't slip on anything, which is impressive considering the kitchen at work is a slippery material surely chosen because it is easy to clean. No matter where I'm at, I feel stronger in these shoes because my feet have such a firm grip on any surface. I have also been very impressed by how supportive these are. My serving shifts are constant walking for hours on end on a floor made of stone, and these shoes protect my feet better than any others in which I have ever worked. Finally, as I have broken these in, they no longer slip on my feet like they first did. They still feel like they may be a bit too large, but they perform so well that I really don't mind it anymore. Once the breaking in period is endured, these shoes are truly great. Tl;dr: These ran large for me, but they have such impressive grip and are so supportive and comfortable once broken in that they still earn every one of the 5 stars I gave them.

These shoes are legit. Working for Amazon and standing on my feet all day, they really support my feet and my feet don’t ache like they used too. Would recommend these shoes!

Shoes fit perfectly able to walk up and down wet driveways in Georgia with no problems of sliding. Great shoe for a delivery person

All things considered very nice shoe they still need to be broke in but that is to be expected

These fit like a glove. Since I ordered them for my husband to wear at work, at least, 4 other people have followed suite.

I find Merrell products extremely comfortable with one caveat - they often are exactly the right height to hit my exterior ankle bone and rub. These fall just below it so there may be some rubbing as the insole compresses over time, but at this time there is no problem.

The shoe is a perfect fit and the comfort is great ! Perfect for work & casual wear.

A bit narrower than I'm used to, especially for men's shoes. I went up half a size to give me a little more space in width and length. I need more comfortable insoles for my feet but otherwise satisfied.

Nice shoe. Stylish, practical. Just a little stiff, but I suspect will improve with some breaking in. (As per my previous experience with Merrill.)

Saved my back, wrecked my toes! Glad I waited to write this after wearing these a while. My back was getting so bad having to stand up all day I thought I should change shoes. Merrell has a name that speaks for itself when it comes to comfort so I searched for some on here. I needed slip resistant as well as hard uppers (not mesh) due to shoes getting wet. These worked fantastic to begin with. My back stopped hurting almost completely after day 1. All seemed good but now my toes have developed some terrible hot spots. I've never had hot spots or blisters I can recall in my adult life with my shoes. Only thing I can think of is the type of material these shoes are around my toes. I've worn totally leather shoes before (my last ones were such) and haven't seemed to have this issue. I now have to get corn pads, mole skin, toe cushions, and band-aids just to make it through a shift. That's on my left foot. My right foot is now rubbing hot on the pad of my big toe and I even have comfort, cushion insoles in. Have to wear 2 socks or forget working! My back still feels great but am on here searching for new shoes as quickly as I can. I've been doing this now for months and need something quick. Wish I could take the back saving of these and the comfort of my other ones.

This was definitely not the right purchase. These shoes feel plastic and look terrible. I wish I had chosen another type or style of shoe. I have only worn them once and they were so uncomfortable that I put them back in the box and have been trying to find a way to return them ever since.

There are two discolorations that have occurred on top of the shoes. These are too new to have the color wearing off.
