The fit was perfect, comfortable straight out of the box. These are great work boots or everyday living boots. Love these boots and Zappos great service.

These boots were great from day 1. Unlike the old school Dr. Martens, these took no breaking in and didn’t rub on the heel or around the calf.

Wow, these ran big for my daughter. I am reordering an 8.5 (if it is available) since she usually wears a 9.5 -- I had ordered the 10 and the 9 at first...and the 9 was still big.

A great shoe! Very comfortable and supportive. I heard that the shoe runs wide, but it just wasn’t wide enough for me. The length of the shoe was fine. I ordered a 14 when I normally wear a 14EW. Sadly, I had to return them.

I absolutely love these boots. They are my first Chelsea boots, and my first Dr. Martens, and I'm in love. They fit true to size, and feel very secure on the foot. The insole provides a nice massage feeling with the texture. The style is great, too. I really enjoy the way they look with just about everything I've worn them with. I just feel more comfortable and confident when I'm wearing them. Pros: build quality, comfort, fit, style. Cons: longer break in than I'm used to, looks like Christmas with green pants.

I have worn nothing but docs since the '80s. Usually the 1460- oily black leather. The leather never wears out, but eventually the sole does. I bought my first pair of these slip ons and I just don't know what to say. They are the absolute best boots I have ever owned in my life. I love them. I am here to buy a second pair because I am afraid that they may be discontinued by the time my first pair wears out! Yes I love them that much.

Bought these for my husband! He loves them and has not stopped wearing them.

I've worn Docs for years, so I'm familiar with their sizing. These run awfully small compared to the other pairs I have. I returned the first set I got, which were the same size as every other pair I have, because I couldn't even get them on and ordered a size up. I could at least get that pair on, but they were still ridiculously tight, so they're going back too. Tapping out on these, I'll find something else. Star rating based on my previous Docs. They do make quality boots, I guess there is no standard to their sizing across product lines.

I’m usually an 8/8.5 in shoes so I sized up to a 9. It was probably a good move as the shoes were a bit loose with normal socks but fit perfectly with thicker socks.

I swear them to work every day but because they’re new, they are a bit snug. I think after wearing them a little longer they should fit fine. A side from that; they’re pretty comfortable and durable. ??

A little tight at first but now 3 days later starting to break them in a little tight around the ankles

I thought these ran big, and the sole made them seem even bigger.. I returned for the standard sole. Love the look of them, and I may consider in the next size down in the future

The shoe was great just too big.

After looking at the sizing guide through Dr. Martens and consulting a few friends who wear their products, I went and ordered my normal boot size. Aside from being incredibly stiff which this brand is notorious for, the size feels true. The soles are comfortable and the non slip tread is a substantial improvement compared to the dockers dress shoes I was wearing out in the winter and slipping on the ice. My ONLY complaint, is that the photo from the producer shows more of a rich cordovan color described as "red". The actual boots are very much red and does not have that rich color that I was initially looking for to match my dress shoes. In the end, it's not too much of a disappointment to return them. Happy.

Cute boots. A little stiff. Need to break them in.

The right shoe creased in a different spot on my right foot and was quite painful, and on both boots the front ankle felt very tight and uncomfortable. So even though they were the correct size, I had to return them. Maybe some of it would have worked out after wearing, but the snug ankle/front opening was quite different than the last pair I had.

The left boot digs into my side of my leg super badly I know I can fix it by softening the leather but it is a weird sensation I’ve never experienced with other boots or docs before.

I purchased these for work (I'm a server) because I wanted a change from my go-to ugliest-shoes-on-the-website-but-comfortable-so-who-cares shoes. I'm skeptical of cute non-slip shoes but there were so many good reviews talking about how they require no break-in period and how comfortable they were so I gave them a shot. Price is no issue for me, especially when it comes to work shoes, so this review is completely based off the shoe and my experience with it. They appear to be extremely good quality and very well-made, as well as being stylish. As soon as I tried them on, however, I knew I was going to have trouble. They are rock hard stiff. And because the toe is reinforced, whenever I stepped, my toes were pushing up against the hardness of the toe of the shoe. This would be no problem if it was a regular shoe, and I don't know how this isn't happening to other people. By the end of my shift, I could hardly walk and the tops of my feet were red and swollen. Not to mention, there is no arch support in these whatsoever. Yes, the insole is cushioned, but there is nothing hugging the arch of my foot at all. I could maybe see these being fine for a barista or working in a kitchen where you're otherwise working in a more contained workspace, but if you're a server walking laps around a restaurant and patio, I have no idea how I'd do it. I'd also like to mention that yes, I purchased the appropriate size, so these issues weren't because they were too big or small. I have concluded, however, that perhaps with thicker socks they'd be a bit more comfortable. I also have very bony, narrow feet, so I blame that as well (hence the 3 stars....could just be me?). Anyway, just be aware if you have bony feet like I do, you have no natural cushion to protect your feet from the rock hard inside (minus the soles) of these boots.

Great boots, but seam on left boot outside causes pain that hasn't gotten better

I work in the animal welfare industry, walking around on concrete all day. These were a replacement from my last pair of Docs, that were destroyed from my job. I figured these work boots would last longer, & they did compared to my last pair. However, the sole of the boot fell apart within 7 months of use. I walk roughly 10 miles a day at my job, so I wasn’t completely surprised. However they didn’t last a year. They were exceptionally comfortable, & far easier to break in than other Docs I’ve owned. I was a little disappointed, & expected more from a company I know & love. I’d say they will be fine in a normal work environment (particularly the food industry), however for me, didn’t quite cut it.

They are cute but I got them for work and they're a horrible work boot. Just completely uncomfortable in every way. Your dogs will be barkin' if you wear these for longer than an hour.

Wearing these without insoles I’m using the pro foot plantar fasciitis insoles for the heel of my foot because I tried size 10 and now size 11 whenever I put these on although they are slip ons when I walk the back of my foot feels like it’ll slide right off
