With a wide instep and narrow heel, proper fit is a challenge. These shoes came very close but the toe box is too tight. I would not be able to wear socks with these as I would like - they are quite snug. I do like that they are non-leather and attractive.

These look very similar to the Toms Avalon flats that I wear all the time and have in about 5 different colors. I was excited to try the Dr. Scholl's Madison shoes and was hopeful that they would hold up a little better and be a bit more comfortable than my Toms. However, I need about a half size smaller than usual in the Dr. Scholl's, so I will be returning them for another size. I'm usually a women's 8 in Toms and should probably order a 7.5 in Dr. Scholl's next time instead of the 8.

First I tried this shoe in a size 10, regular and they were too small and too narrow. Then I tried size 10, wide and they felt huge. I normally wear a size 10, regular. But maybe a size 9.5 wide would be perfect size for me. Overall the look and style was nice. I need a shoe to stand in all day. I’m not sure if these would hold up to a long day. The search continues!

I love the look of the Madison slip on sneaker and have it in another color as well. I recently ordered the green one and it's a bit tighter than I expected, but I am assuming it will stretch out and form comfortably to my feet like the other pair. It rubbed my ankle on the back (which happens often to me) but I think it should loosen out with time. Overall, you can tell it's well made.

The shoes looked great but for some reason when I was wearing them my feet over-pronated (my feet were leaning far into my arches instead of being relatively flat) so I had to send them back. Maybe they were wider than I need. If I didn't have that arch problem I think these would have been very comfortable shoes for walking around a city on vacation or just doing errands around town so I kept the rating high.

I bought two pairs of these. I wore the beach metallic denim during a state testing day. I told all of my coworkers they MUST buy these. I don't think I have ever had a pair of shoes so comfortable. Today, I wore them in the seafoam blue chop. They were snugger fitting, not as squishy and just a plain let down after the metallic beach denim. Not sure why different materials run so much smaller and are not as comfortable. But, today I have spots on my feet that have been pinched and squished.
