These are beautiful, soft polished leather with simple, subtle moto styling. I ordered the Bark Calf, which, on Zappos, appears to be a dark chocolately color. However, they are lighter and redder - like an acorn or raw almond. This wasn't an issue for me. Amazon suggested a 10M, based on the sneakers I usually buy, but I ordered a 9-1/2 W, which is often my size in non-sneakers. I find Earth's boots run a little long, anyway. The 9-1/2W fit exactly as expected, with plenty of toe room, and the W was wide enough to accommodate socks on a between-average-and-wide foot, but not too wide that I'm slipping and sliding inside. I have a...ahem...sturdy calf, but average ankles, so I found the shaft width very comfortable. I would imagine those with slimmer legs/ankles, might find the shaft a bit too roomy, particularly if you have a larger foot size, which, somewhat illogically, translates to larger, overall dimensions. In terms of comfort, these are pretty comfortable, consistent with Earth's philosophy, but there is a considerable amount of pressure distributed to the bottom of the arch/beginning of the heel area. I prefer this to the ball of my foot or full-on heel, but it wasn't as comfortable as other Earths, such as the Everwood, if you're familiar with those.

These shoes excel for my demands: I needed a pair appropriate for work, walking, and surviving a potential zombie invasion. The outside design is business-appropriate, the inside has ample cushioning so I can walk long-distance, and the weight implies durability (and inspires inner-awesomeness). A big bonus is the shoes are silent even when I walk on tile–perfect for an introvert and when sneaking around zombies. The width is great, and I didn’t even mind the arch support–usually that’s a hard ‘no’. My one gripe is that they’re a touch too long to qualify as a perfect fit. Thicker socks largely resolve this, so I can still work, walk, and survive in comfort.

These are the most comfortable booties! Super-soft leather yet the boot still feels solid. And they look great.

I love these boots. The leather is of a beautiful smooth quality. The boots are lined for easy on and off. High quality and super comfortable. The ankles, however, run a bit narrow.

Great Boots. Will get another pair very soon. Comfortable--I have wide feet. I can walk long distance in great comfort. I love the style and the quality of the material is great also. If you have trouble with finding a boot and you have wide feet--try the Earth Drumlin.

Like others, the width runs narrow - in my case a 'B' was similar to a narrow. I have a narrow foot with a small heel and high arches. The shoe fit perfectly. The length is true to size but if you want to wear a thick sock as others were after, go a 1/2 size larger. I wore a "thin" or regular thickness sock and found the shoe quite comfortable. Wore them all day with no problem. The shoe is heavy, but would expect so, given the style. Excellent quality leather and interior, very satisfied.

I have worn a B width all of my life, but it is coming to my attention that this boot runs very narrow. Unfortunately, 5.5 w is out stock. So sad because I love the look and feel of this boot. So cute and could be worn in multiple ways. Hope they get more in before winter is over! Especially at the current sale price.

I slipped the boots on and off I went. Wore first day for ten solid hours in great comfort. Very cute and look expensive at a bargain price given the quality and comfort. May go ahead and buy a second pair in black.

Bought these for an alternate pair of shoes for a trip to Europe. I have a hard time finding shoes that fit well AND are comfortable. Wore these for the first time with no break in needed! Walked all over Paris with no problem. Born shoes are consistently good for me. Highly recommend!

These look sharp and are very comfortable. I have problem feet ad generally wear Danskos, so I'm really excited when I can find something that's a bit different but still comfy and functional.

Three girls and I are live in Birkenstock all summer. Ordered four brands of boots for our 7 wide & narrow healed, extremely high arch feet. Birkenstock is going back. The Comfortiva was beautiful workmanship and comfortable. Walking Cradle was blah all around. The Earth was awesome comfort for our little feet! Cosmetically I would pick the Walking Cradle. First out of the closet will be the Earth!

Wow. I have been on the hunt for a moto type ankle boot or bootie and had nearly given up. Tried several other shorter styles from Earth but none of them fit quite right given my narrow ankles and heels. I initially thought these would be way too clunky but I was wrong. They definitely have a presence and are heavier than some of the many I have tried, but not masculine in my opinion. I tried a more refined look with the Sofft Brinson and the Comfortiva Torrance and while they are beautiful, the comfort was undeniable in the Drumlin. Leather isn't quite as shiny as they appeared in some photos but I imagine they will likely show scuffs, etc. I wear a 9 or 9.5 in Earth shoes. Went with 9.5 for thicker socks. I would agree with other viewers that they probably run on the narrow side. Lucky me with a narrower than average foot which is almost always a problem but I can see that might be frustrating for many. Wildly comfortable! Most comfortable shoes/boots I have. Period. Would also buy in the Bark if funds allowed. I plan to have these for years and walk for miles and miles in them.

These are well made, with a comfortable insole, non-slip sole for traction and they are very cute, but the toe is too narrow for my feet. I compared them to my other Earth boots and the toes on this boot are a narrower design. Heel to toe, the boots fit, however my middle toe uncomfortably rubs against the inside of the boot. Other Earth boots usually work for my feet. I wear size 11. Maybe a wide has more room. Returning this pair for now.

My error ordering these. Zappos is terrific about fast ship and free return so I ordered them in the middle of our Midwest horrendous winter this year. I needed more grip in deeper snow than my other boots offered. Loved these immediately. I need wide and they were perfect. Also felt I would appreciate thicker sole walking in to work. However, they are heavier than my usual (understandable) and I would need to change shoes once at work to go into meetings, etc. Budget concerns made me decide that I have snow boots that could serve that purpose and the two pair of Earths I bought earlier this year are still great and more work appropriate. Had to return. P.S. Bless Earth for comfort, wide sizes, great leather. I keep leather wipes handy to wipe off the salt when I get home and they still look like new.

I liked things about this boot, but it was a little narrow in the toe box for my foot and a little pointier than was comfortable. Also, although there were style elements I liked and it had good arch support, there were were a few too many studs and the buckle style was not to my liking - they had to be returned.

I wear 10 w's and have issues with a flattening arch, pronating, plantar fasciitis, a pulled perineal tendon in one foot, and a healing bone spur in the other. These moto style boots were hip but felt so big and clunky on! Not enough comfort to even try them with thick socks. The Search continues for the great ankle boot...

This Earth boot fit completely different from other Earth shoes I have. It was far bigger and wider than other 8W -- I usually can't get a shoe wide enough and this was crazy even across the ball of my feet. The heels were especially loose, I felt like I could wear three socks and still have it slip-sliding from side to side. As for style, I felt like the effort to do retro 80s was ended up looking cheap and the leather was strangely shiney. The boots felt ungainly and looked homely.

Size 11 w and way too narrow in the toe bed and I don't have a wide forefoot. These boots also made my size 11 feet look even bigger than they are. I have flat feet that require arch support but my feet are not thick (fat, full volume, etc.). The styling of these boots for me just did not work.
