I'm rating these shoes very favorably even though I will have to return them. They are very well-made and have a removable foot bed in them that is very supportive and cushioned. I have narrow heels and a wide forefoot, which is a difficult combination. I think they do run narrow, especially in the forefoot area. I have some arthritis and could tell they were too narrow to be comfortable. They are very attractive, though. I usually wear a 10-1/2 (if I can find them) and the 10 fit well (for length).

Soft and nicely cushioned with good arch support. There wasn't enough velcro on the strap to make it tight enough for my skinny foot. Otherwise the fit was good and the shoe very comfortable. I would have liked to keep it. One thing about it bothered me--the way the rubber sole is extended up in front of the toe of the shoe. It's not extreme like Keens, but I think it detracts from the look of the shoe.

I've been wanting to try Earth for the great styles, lovely leathers and smart insoles. But they really do run big, especially this style. I almost always wear a 7Wide, but the 6.5 was still too long/roomy, so I tried the 6Wide and it was good in length but too tight at the toes. Guess I'm in between sizes now? I will try a couple other Earth styles, sandals probably, to see about the fit. This Newton wouldn't have had enough cushion in the ball of my foot, anyway - kinda light there.

Just received shoe and I am exchanging for a half size smaller. I normally wear an 8M. I am returning for a 7.5M and pray I am not going to have to return for a full size smaller. Everything else is great. Even the arch snugs right up to where it should be for me. Strap is just a bit to long however I think with the half size down it should be just about perfect. If this exchange goes well I believe I may be persuaded to purchase in another color. They seem to be that comfortable. Me: I am 78 have arthritis but I don't need to dress as such so was looking for something to wear shopping etc that is a bit less casual then a tennis shoe more toward casual dress.

I just love these shoes! My feet are temperamental and I have trouble finding comfortable walking shoes. These fit the bill! CUTE and comfy! I have hammer toes, and these have room. Straps make for secure walking. Like them? YES! Bought 3- red, brownish-copper, and black. If the shoe fits-buy it in every color!

I ordered these shoes in both medium and wide width (I sometimes need wide due to a bunion) and the medium width is perfect. I also have a high instep, and the strap design is perfect for that. Some styles have adjustable straps but they are so short that the Velcro strip isn’t completely covered - not a problem with these shoes. The toe box is roomy, but gently tapered so they don’t look like “clown shoes”, if you know what I mean. They also don’t rub the top of my foot over the big toe, which I have trouble with. Well padded and comfortable. Bottom line, it can be a challenge for me to find comfortable, quality, reasonably stylish shoes that aren’t obviously “orthopedic” but these were a complete success!

They feel great but I have tiny feet so I need a half size smaller. I love how they look, but they’re too big and maybe too wide on me, too.

Was so excited to receive these very cute and supposedly super comfortable platinum colored flats. Put them on yesterday to go out to lunch and a movie. About an hour into wearing them, I begin to feel rubbing on the back of my heels. After two hours of moving, I had developed blisters on both heels. I tried tightening the straps and loosening them to no avail. My boyfriend had to go to the parking garage and rescue my gym bag from the car which contained a set of running shoes and socks, while I waited at the theater, unable to walk any further in my new shoes. UGH. Beautiful shoes, but unable to wear them.

I am 62 years old and refuse to wear boring old lady shoes just so I can be comfortable. These are amazing, just look at that platinum color! It has been several years since I've purchased Earth. Lately I've been wearing Think! by Julia and Jambu. I'll definitely look for more Earth brand next time I go shopping. I love Zappo's for their selection, pricing, quick shipments, and flexible return policy. But these surely aren't going back!

Nice looking and comfy shoes. They arrived within 3 days of purchase. Way to go Zappos! Just wish there were more options for attaching Velcro at the side. Had to get a W because of arthritis and would be helpful to get a snugger fit with strap. Fortunately, local shoe repair can fix this for me.

This is a lovely shoe but the velcro attachment on the strap was too small and I was not able to shorten the strap enough so the shoe didn't slide up and down at the heel with every step. Sorry to return it!

Bought these shoes on advice from a shoe specialist for my plantar fasciitis. These have really helped relieve a lot of my pain, I would highly recommend. I gave 3 stars for style but they can't be overly cute and work well... That being said, I would give it a 5 for style considering the pain relief aspect limits the cuteness.

The shoe is painful on my left foot (top of the foot and 4th left toe.

I am searching for fun, comfy shoes for a European vacation where I will walk for miles and stand for hours every day. I desperately wanted the Earth Newton to work out for me. I ordered my usual size 7 in the dark red. The color was gorgeous, the sole was sturdy but flexible, the cushioned insole was oh-so-fabulous. And the width was perfect for my size 7 slightly narrow feet. I walked around in these lovely shoes for a total of about 2 hours, noticing that the arch support was pretty high for my rather ordinary but aching feet. The next morning I woke up with aching ankles and feet that hurt where my feet don’t usually hurt. I believe that this shoe, maybe just this particular pair of Newtons, had very high arch support that didn’t work for my neutral gait. I was very sad to return these shoes that otherwise seemed like exactly what I was looking for. If I wasn’t running out of time (have ordered over a dozen pairs of shoes and still looking) I might have ordered another pair of these in the same color and size, just to see if the arch support on a different pair was a better match to my feet.

The shoe is comfortable and fits well. It's a little tight on the top of my foot. I also do not like the bronze color. It is too dark to go with my wardrobe.

These were awesome right out of the box. I bravely wore them to work on a day I knew I'd be running around a lot and hoped they didn't need a break in period. My only complaint is that I wore them with no dress socks and they left a little black smudge on my toenail polish that wouldn't come off. Great fit and GREAT arch support. My days of pumps are behind me, but these don't look as mature as the picture makes them out to be. They are actually pretty cute! I paired them with cropped pants and a blouse. I wish they came in brown.

I had been looking for a “cool” pair of flats to wear while on my feet all day as a stylist. I had tried many different brands, but these were by far the most comfortable. No rubbing at ankles and the straps are adjustable for the perfect fit. The cushioning on the footbed and arch support is top drawer. I wish the toe was more pointed but I think the diagonal strap makes it a tad more fashion forward.

I love Earth shoes! They always fit perfect right out of the box. Super comfortable, will wear these instead of sneakers.

These were comfortable right out of the box. Like them so much this is my second pair of this style. The footbed is cushioned nicely and the color is so cute!

These shoes are so comfortable right out of the box and I’m in love with the color. Can never go wrong with Earth shoes.

The length and width seemed fine on these, just what I expected. However, the toe box was not deep enough for me. I could only wear them if I removed the insoles and replaced them with the thinner insoles I usually wear. Unfortunately, this would mean giving up the nice cushioning of the original insole. The construction and materials also seemed to be of good quality. However, I am returning the shoes because the color was not quite what I was hoping for. I have no complaints about the shoe other than the limited color options.

Fit great right out of the box. No break in period and very comfortable. The straps over the foot were not tight at all.
