Great cushion... doesn't get soft in a 10 mile run.

5 stars . This is what the Hoka Clifton could have, and should have been. As that shoe got heavier and heavier ,Sketchers came up with the GOrun Maxroad Ultra. Let me tell you. I have been running with the Hoka Bondi 5 at close to 11 oz. for a mens size 8.5 , and my Sketchers , with the same amount of under sole cushioning and comfort weight in at 7.8 oz. . How do I know its the same cushioning . Well I ran 5 miles with the Hoka on one foot and the GOrun Maxroad on the other . No difference in cushioning but a lot lighter which makes a difference in the run. It's as light as the old Hoka Clifton 1 , but that shoe has gotten heavier with each passing model. BTW , I wear max. cushioning shoes to keep plantar fasciitis from returning. With the soft and high stack of the Maxroad... so far so good.

I am unable to run but get in plenty of exercise walking. These shoes are perfect for that. Lightweight, ample cushion, with a bit of a "snap."

I am a daily runner (100-140 km per week), and I have 2-3 shoes typically in my rotation. I've recently increased my mileage during training for fall marathons, so I decided to add a more cushioned shoe. I like the Go Trail Ultra 2 I have, and decided to try the road version. I'm very happy so far after about 50km!

These shoes are a great walking shoe, I usually walk 5 miles a day. The medial/lateral support is improved over earlier models. The cushion soles are great for my knees and hips. Very comfortable shoes.

Tried these as a replacement to Hoka Cliftons which I have worn for about 5 years and decided to replace since Hoka kept shrinking the toe box. The Skechers fit very well and have a wider toe box than the Hoka. Cushioning is felt throughout the entire step not just on the heel. Have logged about 75 miles so far and they are holding up well. I rotate between three/four pairs of shoes and run about 30 miles a week. Will have to see how the bottoms hold up but so far so good. So far I think these are better than the Hoka.

I have run in MANY of Skechers shoes. The original Ultra and Strada 2 were my favorites. These shoes are a very soft shoe and very light. I have Hoka Bondi that I also run in and these are much lighter and softer ride. Time will tell if they are durable as that has been the primary complaint from me and many other reviewers.

Amazing comfort. Skechers is really killing it right now in 2018 releases and this is the best yet in my opinion. I've been using the Ultra Road 2 for my easy run days and think its the best shoe int he lineup till this one. The Max Road is what the Hoka Clifton 2-5 should have been; wide forefoot, soft with a cushy ride. Not sure how much you could dial them up in an uptempo effort...this is where you see the softer shoes have their drawbacks as the foot sinks into the foam and your return energy is diminished. I did do a few strides and the shoe felt good, but 90min at HM pace might see different results. Unlike the Ultra Road I didn't need to size up a half to fit my forefoot...my 9.5 size works perfectly. The knit could be soft...Nike Flyknit would be like heaven. The piece over the toes did seem to bend inward oddly walking around but once I started running that sensation disappeared.

I purchased this model in my size of 13, it fit perfect. The previous model in 13 was a little tighter, but wearable with very thin socks. I like the blue color. The top seems better, it doesn't wrinkle as much. I purchased another pair for back up.

I bought the earlier model of these shoes a month before my ultra race. I didn't get much of a chance to run in these shoes before. Let's start with the cons. 1) The shoes definitely run small. I even bought a 1/2 size larger because they didn't have my size and they still tore my toes up. Even on toes that I don't usually have issues with. 2) The other issue that happened truly surprised me. After about 30 miles I developed pain in my arches which I attributed to a change in shoes. However in a run a week later I had the same pain at the outset. I took the shoes off and when I turned them over each shoe had a very large rock stuck right in the void of the sole. Crazy considering that there was only a small portion of the course that had gravel. Learning experience! With that said these shoes are extremely comfortable to run in and my next pair will be a full size larger than what I bought. I'm waiting to see the trail version come out that I understand is supposed to be in July. I wish that Skechers had a return policy after you run in them like most other shoe manufacturers because I would like to replace these with the next size up because of how small they run. Maybe some day!

Fit like a glove. Great style. Feel super comfy on my feet. My only problem with these is I feel like I'm on ice skates. It felt like my ankles would twist at every step. Like walking on jello. I guess I need a lot more stability than these shoes have to offer. I wish these would have worked for me. Great looking shoe though.

Two days after I got these shoes, the right one started to squeak very loudly. At first I loved them, but now I don't like to where them because the squeak is very embarrassing. Also, I am afraid I will wake up family members. I like to get up before anyone else. If they wake up, I lose training time and I may lose the opportunity to train that morning.

I have been running in Skechers Ultra series shoes for years. I need the max cushioning they provide. I love them because they are comfortable for long distance marathon training. I was excited to get the new Skechers GOrun MaxRoad 3 Ultra, they look nice and they are considerably lighter weight than the Skechers GOtrail Ultra 4 I am wearing. I wanted to love them, however the, what I'm calling the "Toe Cap" ,which is now molded inside the front of the toe box instead of outside, now rubs on the top of my fourth toe, causing a blister after about 6 miles. I appears to have a seam where the Toe Cap flows into the Shoe Upper. This was never a problem on the Skechers Ultra shoes until the Skechers GOrun Ultra R 2 and now this Skechers GOrun MaxRoad 3 Ultra. I tried a half size larger to see if it would resolve the problem, but that made the rest of the shoe too sloppy. Please fix this if at all possible. If this were fixed I would give it 5 stars. I have bought up all the Skechers GOtrail Ultra 4 shoes I could find in my size but with miles I put in, I go through a pair about every 3 months (350-400 miles). I would like to continue using Skechers Ultra shoes, but can't do the blisters.
