The fit is like a glove, the weight and suppleness of the leather is superb. The calf or shaft of the boot is very slim fitting and over time conforms to your leg. The streamlined look it gives is amazing. The added bonus of a curving zipper with tassle at the back elevates this boot from the ordinary. There was no break in period and there is plenty of support and comfort for my foot. I'm SO VERY happy I decided to buy them, look forward to many,many years of wear.

the fit was spot on, size 9 and decent arch support, however i am 5'2" and thought i could deal with the 17 " shaft .. i tried to let it not bother me around the house for half hour, but it was just too high up in the back. 1 inch less and i would have kept them. very bummed b/c they are very stylish and different from other boot. and made extremly well. so sad to send back:((

I am too short for these, which I suspected before I ordered them, but they're so cute, I had to try them anyway. I hoped that the dip in the front of the boot would avoid them hitting my knee, but it's not quite low enough. They were also a little big in the ankles for me, but that probably wouldn't have been enough of an issue alone for me to return them. As they interfered with walking and dug into the back of my leg when sitting, back they go. If you're tall, these are nice looking and have a very comfortable foot bed. They've got the same squishy supportive insole as Ariat's real riding boots. For height comparison, I'm 5'6" but my lower legs are a tad short for my height, so I max out at 16" boots or half chaps. These are also a little narrow in the calf, so if you have larger calves, probably not for you.

Nicely made boots. Really pretty in person. I am 5'11" and have a hard time finding boots that are tall enough for my long legs - these are perfect. The only problem I have found is that the boots are EXTREMELY tight around my calf. I struggled to zip the boots up the first time I put them on. I kept them because I figured they would stretch out a little, and they have!

Beautiful boot. Nice leather. Roomy toe and fitted calf. Both the foot and calf fit nicely but the ankle was stiff and horrible. I actually took the first boot off to see if there was another plastic or cardboard guard inside. This is the first pair of Ariats I have every tried on or worn that were not super comfortable. Super cute but returning them.

Okay, so.....the color was not quite what I expected, more of a poo brown than the shiny one that was shown, the construction of the boot was really weird, big flat footed bottoms, felt like I should be rounding up cattle, and then the calves where it zips up, super tiny, and I have tiny ankles, so thus I had to return, darn!!
