Finally - a boot with the perfect shaft height! I am 5’2” and find most high boots to be too long in shaft and too wide in calf. If you’re petite, you will love these. They are perfect and are so comfortable for walking.

Great to have the Birkenstock footbed in a boot. Yes, the toe area is rounded, but that is better for toe comfort. Surprisingly, I don’t find them to look too big. And I can have issues if I feel a shoe/boot makes my feet look too big!

I love these boots, but there are some things I would change about them if I could. Birkenstocks are the only shoes that don't make my back hurt, and I would live in them if I could. Unfortunately, there aren't many work-appropriate styles, nor are there any boots that can stand up to Midwestern winters. The Sarnia High boots are just as comfortable as my Birkenstock sandals and mules, but they're still too casual to wear in a professional setting. They're also unlined and have zero traction on slippery surfaces; I don't dare wear them when there's even the lightest dusting of snow on the ground. Overall, they make a wonderful fall/spring boot for casual wear. I just wish Birkenstock would make a dressier boot and a snow boot. Then I could live in Birks all winter! One thing about sizing-- I found these to run larger than my Bostons or any of my sandals. I normally wear a 38, which ended up being the best size in these as well (the 37s were just a hair too short). However, I have to wear very thick socks to keep my foot from sliding around in the Sarnias. They're definitely wider than all of my other Birks.

I love my Birkenstock sandals, but these boots were just nice and too pricey for not being perfect. I take a size 37 in the sandals, and went up to a 38 since I like to wear thicker socks with my boots. They were slightly too large in the length. For $250, there needs to be better arch support and the medial zipper is really annoying to deal with. Next time design your boots with a full side metal zipper. The medial zipper is a horrible idea and doesn’t make it easy to put on and take off these boots. Sent them back and still searching for new boots with great arch support.

The fit was perfect, just like the other Birkenstock sandals and shoes I have. Shipping was fast as usual.

Exactly what you would expect from Birkenstock! They did not disappoint! I am so pleased with this boot! You can dress it up or down any way you want. Room inside for skinny jeans or leggings..... well constructed! I’m in love!!!!!

Absolutely love them. I’m a teacher and have severe damage to one knee. Bought these reluctantly due to price and once I wore them one day, I never thought about the price again. Best shoe purchase I ever made.

Love that with Zappos, I can try a shoe in two sizes and send back any that do not fit. (I prefer doing this rather than ordering one and then later ordering a different size; the comparison is truly helpful) I ordered my regular size and one size up. One size up fit much better (I have very wide feet; wish Birkenstock came in a wider width). Everything was perfect (in a sandal, this size would have been too long). Some complained about the calf width, however, I found it perfect). The black suede should be versatile for style and comfort/day to evening. I need Birkenstock's metatarsal cushioning so I should be fine to wear these all day. FYI: This does not have their toe grip. I have been staying away from boots due to my neuropathy, metatarsalgia, and super wide feet. Birkenstock Sarnia High fits the bill for style and comfort.

I ordered these boots in suede, the espresso color. I wasn’t completely happy with the rusty color, and wanted to read more customer reviews. So I did a search and found another place that also have brown leather, more the color I was looking for. I returned the suede ones and opted for the leather from the other retailer. They were half the price (maybe last year’s style). They are beautiful leather, and although, I’ve worn them only once, I can tell that they will get only more comfortable and conformed to my feet with use. The style is quite a bit better than I’d have imagined. I was looking for comfortable slouch boots and I’ve found them. The only thing I would prefer is that the toebox was just a little less round! But , likely, that’s what enhances the comfort level.

I have heard that Birkenstock’s start off a bit firm but over time conform to your feet, I believe I will love the more and more as I wear them. I wore them all day and no complaints.

I wear a size 6 and have narrow feet. I tried both the 5-51/2 and the 6-61/2. The latter fit better, though I have to wear thick socks. I wish the came in a standard 6, however I plan on keeping them. They are pricey so I’m hoping they hold up. The design is that of a slouch boot, but material is much stiffer than a suede slouch boot.

I loved the fit of these boots. I'm usually a 38 in Sanita and Dansko clogs, and these boots were perfect. Room for my toes not to be cramped. However, I didn't love the suede with the darker toes. Looking to find the same size but in brown leather.

When I first opened the box I was delighted by the appearance. I have been wearing Birkenstocks since I was in school at Kansas University -- decades. Big fold in front of boot -- which can be adjusted if pulled. Not the same level of support as you receive from the sandle or clogs. Also received a pair of Earth boots for my daughter. She made the better choice!

I am only giving 4 stars as I haven’t worn them in really cold weather yet. So far I love these boots! The style is great. I was afraid they would be a little too clunky looking but was pleasantly surprised. They do have a nice wide toe box, which I love, without looking unfashionable. They seem to have great arch support and feel very comfortable. They come to mid calf and are not tight at all. They run true to size. The footbed should conform nicely to your foot with continued wear. They are very supple and not stiff at all. As a side note, I definitely waterproofed these boots to protect the suede.

These boots are great but had to return them as Birckenstock shoes have a constructed arch that doesn't quite fit mine.

I'm very very loyal to Birkenstock. I have many pairs of sandals and one pair of shearling lined boots. The issue I have with these boots is one I'm hoping will relax with time. The instep is tight. Not the toes or general width, but the instep in particular. Thankfully the tightness falls just behind my annoying bunyon, so I can wear them, but it's a tight fit for Birkenstocks, and the calf width is not generous. Any women with thicker calves may want to give this pair a pass. I'm just making it work, but it's tighter than I'd like.

I was so excited to find a birkenstock boot. They were definitely comfortable. The problem was the ruching was poorly excecuted and the ruching did not match one boot to the next. Not acceptable for the money. Try again Birkenstock.
