I REALLY wanted to like this shoe, but it was extremely narrow through the front half of the foot. I have an average width foot and almost never have this problem. I did note that several other people mentioned in reviews how narrow this shoe was, and they were right! If you have a narrow foot, this will be perfect. Otherwise, forget it!

Love these, but they were too narrow. Especially in the heel cup.

They are gorgeous oxfords but I’m normally a 9.5 and this one felt super tight all over. Bummed.

First, the good: I love the style of these. A perfect updated wingtip brogue oxford. The thicker sole makes for a fun update. And they appeared well made, as are most Clarks. But they hurt immediately upon putting them on. The thick sole and padded insole were comfortable, but the leather upper is so very stiff that I don't think I could ever break it in. The edges of the upper felt like stiff, hard cardboard that would cut into my feet as a I walked. As to fit, they seemed to run a little bit shorter and narrower than do most Clarks. I have moderately narrow feet (but can usually get by with medium width) and these felt narrow to me. They weren't significantly shorter than usual--not as much as a half size--but felt just a smidge on the short side. Maybe the stiffness of the upper and total lack of give gave the impression of being a bit small. They might break in reasonably well, but it would be painful in the process. So these are going back while I keep looking for a truly comfortable pair of black oxfords.

Length felt fine. They are EXTREMELY narrow. Zappos: Is the wide not made or not available? The footbed, though cushy, is not supportive of the arch, and cannot be removed to replace with your own support. Sad to say, I have to return them. I would have loved to have a pair of black patent shoes for winter!

Clarks! I am almost always disappointed in your shoes. I love these shoes but am afraid I will likely send them back because it seems all your shoes run slightly narrow, which is not an issue with"breaking in" involved. I'm so sad.

This shoe is EXACTLY what I was looking for -stylish and great Clark's quality. Unfortunately, it is EXTREMELY narrow- couldn't even get my foot in beyond the laces. Sometimes I need a wide, sometimes not, but I have other Clark's shoes that are not wide widths and can't believe the difference in this cut. Heartbroken to be sending these back, because they are otherwise perfect. If Clark's is listening, please consider making these in a wide. Thanks!

Generally, size five shoes are a bit too big for me. I have little 21cm feet. But, the occasional five fits. These shoes in a five are so tight I could barely get them on my foot. Pay attention to the reviews that say these shoes are narrow. They are extremely narrow. But, if you have really narrow feet, I am jealous. Theses shoes do look awesome.

These are so cute but oh man were they small. I ordered my usually size and they were so stiff and so narrow that I couldn't even get my foot all the way in the shoe.

Shoe is extremely comfortable but toe box is too tight. Being returned.

Look really cute but the leather is super stiff and definitely too narrow in the toe box. There is also no give in the bottom and the arch didn't feel like it was in the right place. returning.

I am a size 6 with a narrow heel. Unfortunately these slipped off my heel and I had to return them. Disappointed as I love how they looked.

These shoes are extremely narrow, and I just have a regular shmegular foot.

This shoe is super cushiony, but really narrow and stiff. So sad because it's so cute, but there is no way I could wear this and be comfortable.

I'm not sure if I just received an irregular pair of these shoes or not but the M width shoe I received is and looks very NARROW (despite the shoe being marked a Medium width). The look and quality of the shoe is very good but if this style shoe is regularly this Narrow (and my experience is just a fluke), anyone with a Medium width foot will have problems with this shoe fitting properly.
