Very cushiony. They would be great if the leather was actually genuine leather. I am 99% sure it is plastic/vinyl because in addition to being very stiff (I could tell they weren't going to 'break in' anytime soon) they don't breathe like leather. I could feel my feet sweating. The strap was too long and didn't lay flat. The heal was a bit high for me too. I returned them and bought the criss cross 2.zerogrand and didn't have a problem with the strap & heal was lower but the same cheap leather. Too bad, I was so excited and thought these would be the perfect shoe for traveling. Sadly I returned that pair too. So disappointed!

Very comfortable! The only downfall is the sole makes feet sweat a lot. I am going to buy that stick-on-fabric so my feet don’t sweat and slide around (never had this problem with all my sandals).

The ankle strap is too long. Can’t decide if I’m keeping them.

I loved this style so much that I bought THREE different variations on the Cole Haan ZEROGRAND sandals. Obviously you can see from that fact alone that these suited my style esthetics to a T. I am posting identical reviews for each of the two pair currently still available on the website because the issues I have with all three are the same. The pair no longer offered that had the same issues was the Cole Haan Zerogrand style B01NBXW8CA (all black) and similar to this style. I live in the South where it's pretty much too hot to breath most of the year. As a result, I wear sandals/flip flops pretty much 365 days a year. I'm not much one for heels so I've basically just been wearing FitFlops and wanted to find something a little cuter, sassier and with a little bit more ankle support. BOY WAS I DISAPPOINTED! First of all, I can't even believe that these are described as being leather. That's absolutely laughable. I don't know what Cole Haan defines as leather - but these distinctly pleathery, fake-feeling shoes aren't even on par with my trusted FitFlops. Secondly, I barely even tried these on in my bedroom - and taking all but 2-3 steps on carpet, these squeaked so much that I immediately returned them to the box. I tried on all three pairs in the vain hope that at least one of them wouldn't feel like a cheap, tacky and overpriced pair of shoes - alas, no love. I can't even imagine how much your feet would sweat in these, especially given the sweltering, high humidity heat here in the South. I bought these on sale for $67.50, $75 and $97.50 respectively; normally they run a whopping $150 - which is so overpriced, it's borderline offensive. Even at the current price under $70, I think they're still too expensive. If I had found these for around $30 at Marshalls or TJ Maxx, I might have bought a pair...anything more, IMO, is completely a waste of money. Lastly - they're a lot more snug than I expected but they may be suitable for people with narrow feet. Bottom line: in my personal experience as someone who doesn't shy away from shelling out $100+ for good footwear, these are the pits. I would highly suggest looking at another brand.

These sandals were comfortable enough and I would have kept them had they not been so unflattering to my ankles. I'm only 5 feet tall and for whatever reason these sandals made my ankles look block-like. Shame....

Love, love, love this Cole Haan 2. Zerogrand slide sandal. Owned 2 pairs in black. Walked all over Japan without blisters (bought other similar much higher priced sandals but only wore Zerogrand because it's super cushy, soft and attractive).

These are the most amazingly comfortable shoes. I walked for miles and miles in Japan and my feet were so happy as if I was in my most comfortable running shoes. They're also very attractive and often receive compliments :-)

These are cute, modern and fun. I found the Sandal to be comfortable and true to size. I’m in my 60s and don’t have the best looking ankles anymore, but I thought the style very attractive on my feet. Perfect for wearing with jeans and crops. Not sure about a sundress? Might look too clunky. I am going to get the non slip fabric for inside the shoe as another reviewer mentioned. The strap is a bit long, but nothing in life is perfect and I like them enough to keep.

I liked the look of the shoe and the video really made it look cushiony (which is a sad necessity for me, post-snowboarding accident). I hesitated for oh, about 2 months, in ordering these because the reviews made it sound like you'd be lucky to get a good fit. I have pretty average feet - but so did one of the reviewers who said it fit really strangely. Anyways, I ordered them and LOVE them. They are absolutely fantastic shoes and seem actually forgiving in their fit - so no idea about that review. I'm usually a 7.5 or an 8 and lately seem like 8s fit better in most shoes. I ordered both pairs and both fit fine but the 7.5s appear a tad smaller on the feet, which is a bit more becoming, so keeping those. Also, just in case others have this issue, my ankles sit just a tad low and so some sandals hit my ankle bones - these don't do that. My single complaint is that my feet kinda stick to the sole which means they stay in place but they feel a little icky and make a noise sometimes when I'm walking and sweaty. Whatever, they're CUSHY. I've been wearing them 3 hours an no issues. LOVE THEM.

The shoe is very comfortable! I wish the ankle strap could be a bit tighter. Ankle strap is a little big.

I loved these sandals, style & comfort, but decided to return them. The back strap was too long, and didn't lay flat. For the price, I didn't feel like paying more by taking them to the cobbler to fix.
