Customer Reviews New Balance Summit KOM Gore-Tex®

I was on the market for hiking boots and an extra pair of tennis shoes and these shoes were just the ticket- two in one! They are very comfortable and I love the color. They are sturdy and supportive like a hiking boot, but a little lighter weight. They are kind of bulky as a running shoe, but again, very supportive of my feet. I wear a size 10, so the bulk is apparent, but worth it. I have not tested out the waterproof part exactly, but they had a big cup of water spilled on them while I was not wearing them and they dried quickly and unchanged by the water. I came down with plantar faciitis and these shoes have been a great help with that, supporting my sore feet and helping me walk more normal. I would buy these again, and would try more in this brand.

I ordered a W and let me tell you, they were NOT! My foot felt totally smashed. And the blue color wasn't pretty at all. Didn't matter what they looked like because they were sooooo uncomfortable.

Love these. I was looking for another pair of sneakers that could stand up to the fall weather in Western NY. Rainy, muddy, and uneven ground at times. These are comfortable, keep me dry, and I love the dark blue color! Tempted to buy another pair now so when these are at the end of their life, I have another ready to go.

Way to small in width and way to short in length. I ordered a half size up. I am not sure a whole size larger would be enough. Not near as comfortable as the old 910 v3 trail in gore-Tex. Pretty is as pretty does and these won’t do at all.

I bought a half-size larger than my normal shoe. Works perfectly for me. I will soon buy another pair of the same shoe.

A great shoe! Put them on this morning to walk my dogs and have not taken them off. The toe box is roomy while the heal is snug. I'm very happy with these shoes.

I have narrow feet and high arches. There is also plenty of room around my toes. This shoe fits so well I bought a second pair to have on hand when the first pair wears out. I wear them on trails and concrete walkways. The only downside is the very narrow opening to put them on, requiring a shoe spoon that I usually only need for my golf shoes. A small inconvenience for a great fit.

I purchased a pair of KOM Gore-Tex shoes for my wife to wear for outdoor walking, hiking, and in rainy weather. She has a narrow foot and normally wears a 10 narrow in NB running shoes. However, these shoes in 10 B fit fine with the laces tightened slightly more than normal. Though skeptical at first about wearing trail running shoes instead of 990’s, 1080’s, or Zante’s, she loves these for more demanding, less ideal conditions. She is heavily into fashion and correspondingly fashionable shoes but these rugged shoes were an instant hit. If I am not careful she may discover that there are additional NB offerings out there as well!

I am disappointed that these shoes are too narrow. New Balance has been my preferred brand of shoe because of the comfortable wide sizes. These will be returned. They are uncomfortable.

New Balance sizes seem to vary widely from style to style. These ran very very short, and even though I ordered a D width, they were also narrow. Guess I have to keep trying.

The wide shoes are not wide enough for my feet. I wear a wide and have no problem with other shoes, these are tight. Hoping I can get them in a double wide.

Looking for a wide waterproof shoe. I normally wear a 9 wide New Balance, but this shoe was very uncomfortable. It was stiff and very tight which is unfortunate because I like the way the shoe looks. I should have listened to the reviews, but I was optimistic. Definitely going to return. I ended up liking the Merrell Flex GTX which actually fits a bit wide.

Heavy, clunky, and super narrow toe bed. Thank you Zappos for your return policy. I would have ordered the next size up but the shape and weight of the shoe was not tic my liking.

This shoe is a disappointment! I have worn New Balance for years and this one should not have that name. The shoe is extremely narrow, even the "wide". Other wide shoes from NB have been wider, this one is narrower than any. The shoe is also very uncomfortable and inflexible. I have had several Gortex shoes from NB and this one is like wearing a hard plastic. I would not buy it.

I wear an 11 wide and New Balance usually fit well, but these shoes are a big disappointment. They are very narrow and the toe box is also very narrow. They look and fit like a medium width shoe.

the opening even after loosening the laces to the fullest, barely allowed entry..i have high arches....the laces then were much too short to tie a bow...generally way too hard to put on due to the short opening....i need waterproof shoes and these seemed perfect....am sending these back
